It's really crazy cause just weeks ago, they were eating Dog, being hunted by Cannibals and Rapists, Held Hostage by Cops, and lost their home to The Governors army. They went from that to old life. Originally, Robert Kirkman was gonna end the comics once they got to Alexandria because the idea of a Safe Haven was the end goal for the first part of the series. He decided to go ahead with the comics past this point because he had more ideas that hadn't happened yet. There's a lot of potential for storytelling, particularly regarding the "reconstruction of civilization." It's no longer just about survival, it's about what it means to be Alive and Thriving. Welcome to the New Era. At this point in the comics, Andrea had JUST lost Dale, Ben, and Billy (similar characters to Bob, Lizzie, and Mika) and it's very similar to Sasha's current mindset. Deanna and Reg Monroe are Gender Swapped versions of their comic counterparts Dennis and Regina Monroe. In the comics, they have 1 son, Spencer Monroe. In the TV Show, they have two sons Spencer and Aiden Monroe. Several Comic Characters are seen for the first time including Jessie and Pete Anderson, their son Ron Anderson (who is an aged up version of his comic counterpart to match Carl in the show) and Sam Anderson, their other son who actually better matches Comic Ron than Ron does. We're also introduced to other characters like Olivia, Mikey, Tobin, and Bruce, also all comic characters. Another character is Enid, a TV Show original fill in for Comic Sophia, who is still alive at this point and part of Carl's coming of age storyline
This Season is why Glenn is in my top five - especially this episode He’s grown so much and I love how much he stands up for himself now Back in Season one episode two he wanted to speak and trailed off but Rick told him to speak his mind so he did He doesn’t need prompting anymore and he stands up for both himself and everyone he cares about He doesn’t take a backseat anymore All the characters have grown but I think Glenn has grown more than most of them I know a lot of people say Daryl has grown probably the most (and in most situations I would definitely agree with that) but I think a lot of people also overlook the extent of Glenn’s growth Imagine him behaving like this in Season one For me it’s basically impossible If he did say what was on his mind it was often with uncertainty or hesitation He speaks right at people’s faces now and stands up straight He knows what he’s doing out there these boys don’t and he’s not afraid to say that that’s the case and he’s not humble about it because he knows how dangerous it can be to act like they did This episode in particular just really stands out to me because of Glenn and his growth as a whole really stands out to me IMO If you had to rank someone for MVP this episode I would definitely say that It’s Glenn.
Rick: People out there are always looking for an angle They measure you by what they can take from you. Rick: If they can’t make it then we’ll just take this place. Rick’s group IS the people out there They measured Deanna and Alexandria right away by what they can take from them The question is whether or not the people of Alexandria can prove themselves Love this episode.
Carol is by far the best character in TWD the way she switches from badass to this innocent woman playing on the fact that it looks like the group protected her O.M.G SHE'S AMAZING ❤❤❤❤❤

Poor Daryl has never lived in a decent home. Dude has anxiety and the hee-bee-gee-bees😂 He needs to take a shower though if he plans on being around other humans. These episode seasons came out once a year and you can see how much Carl grows in between. Great episode and reaction 👏🏽

Personally I loved this episode still do It reminds me of the farm days back in Season 2 Also Deanna adds a touch of class to the show kinda like Hershel did I just enjoy seeing some domestic every day living kind of stuff after all the cannibals and rapist cops and seeing how assimilating into a normal life is a new challenge.
In episode 10 the shots that are a little further away from the group and that are shaky like the of sasha on the bridge and then when they eat the dogs those are supposed to be aaron watching the group from a far
Yeah, the people at Alexandria have no idea what a group of wolves they have let into their little sheep pen. Sheltered people with no real survival skills meet the uber survivor group that have been to hell and back, twice over, at least. I can see why Alexandria does it, but "playing pretend" and trying to hold onto the old social order is not a very good idea in a zombie apocalypse, it will make everyone turn soft. Giving Rick the job of police officer and trying to squeeze him back into being who he used to be years ago is not a very smart move tbh. Alexandria is the outlier at this point, the rest of the world is more like how Rick's group has been living, so attempting this false sense of normalcy is just not going to work with people who have seen all the ugly out there.
Fun Fact: Norman Reedus has Rick’s beard in a plastic bag in his refrigerator.
