It's funny how 8 episodes in you two still don't seem to fully understand the concept of severance in the show. I mean, I get it, it's weird, but when Miss Casey says she's been alive for 107 hours...that's how much time she's spent at work. Because that's all she knows. Because she's severed. She has no life outside of work.

The breathing tube had the name Charlotte Cobell so I think Mrs Cobell had a daughter or sister. I’ll say more after episode 9 but I think that Cobell’s interest in Mark remembering someone he loved has to do with Charlotte.

While she's told the gang her name off screen, they never remember, so they've never said the waitress's name on the show. It's an ongoing mystery.

The only thing comedy about this movie was the abuse of science and physics. Too numerous to list. The ending was silly. But it was a fairly good movie if you can get past that.

Killing titans is not easy. We've been following a cast of main characters who will make the basics look simple for plot reasons, but remember that the vast majority of soldiers at this point are simply not capable of "just killing them", especially solo. It usually requires some planning, which you don't always have time for. With each close encounter, there is an *extremely* high chance you die. It's much easier and safer to just move them around.

Wow the human body can remain functional on a potatoes only diet. Something tells me that is as much BS as the 500mph winds that are in the movie. Mars atmosphere is around the equivalent of Earth at over 100,000 feet. It is polar opposite of Venus where a wind speed of 15mph would sweep a human away.

I would assume that the Japanese don't have gendered terms for military honorifics, so everyone is just called "sir", and the translation didn't localize it. If Japanese is translated literally, it wouldn't even say "he" or "she", everyone would just be "he", I think (or at least, that's what I've seen from most non-localized translations).

There's a reason why Levi has that deadpan expression....he's seen and went through a lot....

Harry and Ginny's relationship in the films is a tragic mess. The screenwriters messed it up so badly. I can't imagine how disappointed Bonnie must've been, they gave her character nothing.

The waffle party is Lumon’s approach to dealing with the sexual aspect of life for the innies who never actually “leave” the severed floor. It gives them a powerful incentive to use to motivate the innies to meet their quarterly goals-it gives the innies a designated (and corporate sanctioned) outlet for their sexual urges/tensions. The finale is absolutely incredible. Can’t wait for season 2 a couple of months from now :)

The King's Cross Station heaven bit was So beautiful in the book. Dumbledore explain the Harry dead or alive choise pretty good, but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around how Harry could still choose life *. You could read that particular chapter, for the beauty of Harry's and Dumbledore's friendship. Just keep kleenex nearby. * I was sorted into Ravenclaw twice, but I already picked Hufflepuff, and this prove I was right. 🤭

If I remember it correctly Dumbledore actually did give Snape instructions after his death, from his portrait . And no, Snape did Not care about Harry, only for his mother. Harry, looking so like his father, was always a middle finger in Snape's face just by existing. A walking talking reminder that Lily, the love of his life, chose his bully, James Potter.

I was surprised Mad-Eye got killed. In the books he was one of the best Auror's in the Wizarding World, he basically captured most of the Death Eaters during the First Wizard War. The fact they killed him really shows nobody was safe anymore and that Voldemort was really going all out to kill Harry. They don't show in the book, but Bill explains that Voldemort pursued Mad-Eye and Mandungus, thinking he was the real Harry Potter. Mandungus retreated and Voldemort blasted him in the face with the Avadra Kedavra curse.

The only major "not possible" bit in the book (and the movie, far as I know) is that a storm like that isn't possible. The air is simply too thin, that even going 100 MPH or more, it just doesn't hit the same way. Andy Weir admitted that it was his only major fudge for the story.
