    i like how everyone is saying how his tactics are awful, hes one of the best instructors in the world. i would love to see you guys try and train fundamentals let alone this level of expertese

  • @ThunderousWrath
    @ThunderousWrath 9 лет назад +17

    These are not tactics. This is a technique. Stop saying his tactics are bad. Tactics are techniques in implementation. You've never seen his tactics unless you've been in a fight with him.
    I still haven't made my mind up about Zero. He dares to be different and try new things, including things everyone else has already concluded don't work. I love that mindset, but I question sometimes whether he gets carried away with the things he tries. Multiple somersaults is just one such iffy proposition.
    I would say that Zero is a valuable instructor, overall. Practicing what you learn from him adds tools to the toolbox, and that's good no matter what. Just because it doesn't seem worthwhile doesn't mean it won't be. I don't think I'll ever need to dive into a roll and come out shooting (and I doubt most guys could even do that with full kit on), but like anything else I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

      +ThunderousWrath My only disagreement is that tactics is theory while techniques is practice.

    • @EhWassAmattaU
      @EhWassAmattaU 8 лет назад +1

      +ThunderousWrath I agree. Any training is better than NO training (which is what most of America has...) So America, don't pick one guy and think he is God (because he is NOT), learn what you can, and don't shoot yourself, your friends or any innocent civilians. Get some REAL training (because what you watch on RUclips is NOT training!) Be able to hit your target (or else DON'T SHOOT! Do you want to kill an innocent person?) Shooting fast may be important for the military, but for civilians, being accurate is what will save lives.

    • @kmack3504
      @kmack3504 7 лет назад

      my understanding of tactics= a goal or achievement, strategy= how you go about attain said goal or achievement. his technique I would say he has down pay. now whether you like to see rolls and the like I would think we would be smart enough to disseminate what could can or wouldn't work. it's like when penthouse magazine came out, if you don't like it don't look at it. I just like watching the videos...

    Regardless of who does and does not believe in Instructor Zero's tactics, everyone with experience shooting is going to find a "flaw" in someone else's technique. What matters is being able to assess the situation and get it under control. I personally think he is very good, hence the training of other Special Forces Teams, but if other people are training in their own way, bravo to you. Get it done and be safe

    Shooting back first seems like a good idea. The guy in the back will aim while the guy in the front want's to distract you, to move out of the line of fire before the guy in the back begins to shoot thus keeping his gun in the holster or down much longer for not to provoke you into taking action...
    If you strafe sideways, rotate at the waist or drop down it will increase your chance of them shooting each other due to recoil, poor aiming, ricochets, instinctive trigger pull or simply penetrating your soft tissue without stopping the bullet ...
    I know instructor zero has a very fast "back draw" and can fire from the hip backward, while crouching. If he continues that into a full prone position, he will face the front target with minimum area exposed, while the enemy is forced to make decisions, aim or reposition him self to adopt to the changing circumstances that you control.
    This is a bad case of a shoot out for all participants. Literally - everyone is pointing their guns at everyone. Especially if the guy in the middle drops and rolls...

  • @ryandavidcampbell

    good shooter, awful tactics

  • @hunter.1
    @hunter.1 10 лет назад +2

    once I've tried in the paintball this movement of turn and shoot whoever is behind after shot whoever is in front; the chance of you being hit by who is in your back, before you shot, is great.
    I noticed that shooting at who's in front, and throw down on floor turning back, helps quite escape this shoot
    but it is only a comment of an civil ;)

    • @TomasSab3D
      @TomasSab3D 9 лет назад

      ***** it's bad for them too... even if you stay still - the projectile can penetrate through you. Esentially they are shooting at each other, with you in the middle here...

    Mr. Beck.. there is never anything of absolute ... depends on many factors, the first one is given by our preparation, then there is the context and then what we do .. wich is the object .. the assignment to serve.. and many other things.
    But it's important that you understand that sometimes happens that there is no solution at all.. The weak hand also if you train it as much as you can will never be like the "strong Hand ".. if is it , mean that you not train enough the " dominant hand "

    Video idea... You did a top 5? Guns from S&W, I'm actually probably going to buy the Dimension soon (heard it was recalled so I will wait until the 2013's come out with the camos) BUT I've never owned a rifle that I will be needing a actually scope for not just a red dot or something, but a proper scope. I know it comes with one in the package but fuck that.
    How about Funker gives us a top 2012-2013 distant scopes for under mmm $750? $500? Video :)
    Has to be durable too!

Stayed there for 15 minutes, never got to see them shoot. They just practiced drawing the hole time. They never fired a shot and I was late for work. I'll be back.

    Personoly I believe the whole step to the side shit is overrated. do force on force training, and draw your pistol with your friend pointing a weapon at you, its not hard to saty on target at close range when you just step to the side. If you draw on a man, it should be fast and deliever rounds in the killzone, movement should be to cover. put youself in the situation and then think about what makes sense ya know, Not being a dick lol just my 2 cents

    All though the control, speed and target acquisition is great there is no "get of the x" movement involved. I would certainly incorporate a side-step with the draw. Then move again with the turn. Fire and movement, especially with more than one opponent. Any thoughts on that?

  • @beegum1
    @beegum1 11 лет назад

    This makes me wonder... Now, Tactical response indicates a move on draw and so does defense against hth weilders. He could totally have been run through by a knife weilding thus, right? If I understand correctly it's that first step or two that prevent getting cut or shot. He is fast though.

    It shouldn't if you're shooting at an object that that is straight up and down like the targets in the video. They could ricochet to the sides a little bit, but most rounds impact the metal and then pretty much just drop to the ground.

    Zero has some sharp shooting, It's really interesting to see the back engage gun draw from a passive stance. it looks to require the least steps of movement steps but takes away the ability to see the 3 targets in middle.

    I agree with you guys. Plus, with 2 side steps, or even 1, you don't have to rotate as far, which could decrease your target acquisition time. But mostly, you make them reacquire their target (you), which is always better than letting them just shoot at you at will.

    I noticed he brought his hand to his chest during the back engage. Is this just for balance and targeting or is he putting pressure their for any particular reason?
