It's actually 9, there're 3 free scouts as well which I forgot to mention (Hummer, scout 800, CAT TH) -With the release of Mastodon DLC in late may of 2023, The bugs mentioned in video are fixed according to patch notes.
Thanks for this. You are the only one that doesn't close your eyes to the bugs and improvements and bring them to attention. Another point that I would add is; we are playing SnowRunner, and there is no more Snow in the game for the third season in a row. The game is at the point that we can feel it is being squished, and they are running out of creativity and extending it artificially. The contracts have been repetitive since Season 8, and they missed an opportunity to add a fire spray to extinguish the fire, at least in cut-scenes.
I didn't mentioned the fire spray thing because TBH I don't know whats possible in this game and what's not but yes a cutscene might have been possible..I mean they did a rocket lauch before so how hard would be spraying water on fire.
The water towers also left me puzzled. While i can understand the logic behind them being empty after repair, their capacity is just as big as the capacity of a water tank cargo, so you can't stack it at the deposit, you could just drive to your destination and unload it there. A missed opportunity is repairing a pipe network between water towers. You could choose between delivering water with tankers or you could deliver the pipes to repurpose the water storages to permanent local water source. Another missed opportunity is to deliver fire trucks AND supplies to extinguishing sites.
or, better yet, all the empty water boom towers could progressively start working as you repair them leading from the working towers... throw in some pipe missions!
they work by transporting the water, they start empty, you fill one, and then you can remove it from another tower down the line. filling boom one will transport it to boom two, where you then remove it, and take it to boom 3, and then you can remove it at boom 4 near the burnt railway station, it end up being less driving.
Where is rebuild theme, when we don't rebuild factory, warehouse, train station, ... And who put away the burnt logs in a neat corner? We should have collected them in a large area like a Mudrunner challenge with the CAT (Aramatsu in Snowrunner)
because they overused water missions on 2 maps...if they added such missions in variety to other maps then it would be less repetitive thus more enjoyable.
I think a good addition would be firefighting missions, ideas for firefighting missions in the future: help contain small spot fires, extinguish smaller remaining fires such as building fires and soak down areas that haven’t been burnt to prevent more fires.
- Why do the trees in fire zones still have leafs when they’re supposed to be freaking BURNT? - I hate the water missions. Like you said, repaired water towers have NO water at all. WTF? Even the water towers that are supposed to have water are empty when you play with imperial measurements instead of metric. Devs just don’t fix bugs no more (all phase 8 bugs are still present in phase 9). Thank god there are mods that make the water missions way less repetitive.
Speaking of repitative missions...I forgot one...there're these contracts called timber for local 1 and 2 and you're suppose to deliver multiple short logs to those houses but there's no short log trailer in game, only frame addon and that too is not supported by all trucks...it just encourages people to use that exploit where they put loose logs in sideboard trailer and load/pack them on truck at destination....where is the fun in that I ask....I mean logging can be fun if we have proper trailers and addons for it....It's like you said thanks to mods
iirc the idea of the water booms is to be able to deposit water in one location and collect it somewhere else. On one map there are 3 booms in one network, on the other there are four booms in 2 networks.
They are honestly pretty useless solo, really hit the nail on the head saying they were for coop in this video. Map 2 might be more useful solo if you use 2 trucks since they are all connected but in map 1 it makes no sense without a friend or 2.
I think it's a big missed opportunity to not have you 'extinguish ' the fires in some way, a water cannon addon with crane like controls and just have to spray a percentage of the building, a bit like the farming in phase 8.
Yes...A firefighting mechanic would've been good but seeing the bugs in this update...I can't even imagine what would happen if they went after some new feature.
I felt like firefighter mechanic would be useless if you already exhaust all fire then fire trucks become useless later after complete contants or tasks. Not sure about contests.
The water booms work, but in a weird way. Some of them are connected together, some are not. They can be indeed used in a multiplayer, if one of the players transfers the water from the infinite source to a temporary storage, the other can take it from another temporary water storage in the same pipeline that's closer to the fire.
Have you tested them yourself...They should've explain all this in game itself...the page that explain all game mechanics is not updated for a long time now.
@@SD1ONE yes, I did. It was fun to use this mechanic as intended. Too bad the water disappears. I was putting out the fires, running back and forth to the closest water boom, while my partner on the other end of the map was hauling water from a tower to a connected boom.
I didn't play this season yet, so what I'm going to say is only based on this and some other videos. When I heard about a firefighting theme I didn't expect we'd do the actual firefighting, but I did expect to at least see the fire. To see firefighters at a fireline and moving that fireline further every time you deliver them water, giving you access to another section of the map. Instead we have contracts that make no visible difference and we have to deliver huge amounts of cargo on the same route. Which the devs have been doing quite a lot and it was never fun. I disagree on the water contracts on old maps. When logging was added, devs also added logging contracts to old maps, but they were just boring and felt like an afterthought. Especially compared to the natural logging contracts on newer maps. Even the regions are uninspired. When players got tired of the America-or-Russia approach, instead of anything remotely new we got Technically-not-america and Technically-not-russia. And in case of Belozersk I'm pretty sure they only rebranded it as "central Asia" to avoid controversy related to the war in Ukraine. Add to that some issues and player requests that have been present since the launch of the base game and Snowrunner just starts to feel like the devs are trying to milk a dead cow.
Thanks for your review...I think I would like to clear that about water missions on old maps is instead of overusing them on these 2 maps...they should've divided the mission in old & new maps...I mean since their mission structure is not very creative at least we would have gotten the opportunity to go to old maps again.
Maybe this has already been mentioned, but on the Burned Forest map all effects coming from the truck are also blocked. Exhaust smoke, heat haze, seismic blast, all shut down. At least for me on the Playstation 4. Is it just me? Basically, the Ontario maps are very nicely designed, but the many bugs clearly dampen the fun of the game.
Xbox Series has horrendous crashing bugs in Albany River too, to where it's best to just constantly save after doing ANYTHING and staying off the map entirely if you can as it's constantly crashing. Being around the town makes the game chug too. Couple that with the fact the water disappears in some of the trailers during restarts, and those missions are nightmares. The meat is good here but there is just a lot on this update that feels unpolished and rushed. I know that's kind of a Snowrunner thing, but even by its own sliding scale its pretty wacky.
This is buggest update after Phase 2 / yukon IMO...In Phase 2 yukon update there was 15 cabin bug that keeps us from completing finishing the update and even when they do fix it, It wipes all trucks, trailers from yukon maps.
@@Ark.Rajang For me It's not worth it because It already has more than enough power as I don't use it for trailer hauling...also it's roofrack lacks repairs which again is not in favor of top engine.
My understanding of the water booms is that it is a bandaid for the issue that water dissapears from trailers when you change map or close the game (and all vehicles when map transferring), and you're meant to store excess water there instead of loosing it. most of the time, it's not worth it.
@@SD1ONE It has at least 2, i know one sits near the factory and warehouses on map 2. I do agree that it's practically useless, rather just go back and get another full tank.
Also the cargoes bigger than 1 unit are bugged in some places. It should be spawned horizontally to fit concrete platform (like in craft zone in first map) but they are vertically so once my container jumped and landed on environment (+bugged metal fence forcing it to shot sparks xD)
I also had a few crashes of the game on my PS5. I think although this season took extremely long to finally get rolled out, it still seems like this was rushed. On the other hand I must say, that I wouldn't want to maintain the codebase. It has dynamically grown into a monster it wasn't designed to be at the beginning. Now try to imagine you need to test all platforms with all possible combinations of installed or not installed DLCs, skins, season passes. A real nightmare! And even if they do utilize automatic testing frameworks, it just adds to the development effort, as they too have to be designed, coded and maintained with every patch and update. As such, developing updates takes ever longer and the underlying engine would really need an overhaul. Especially as some of the fundamental problems need to be fixed, which would require modifying the game engine. I would also wish, that Saber Interactive would concentrate more on new gameplay features rather than expanding upon the old. This can be done by the avid community. My final verdict is, that I really like the new season, but totally agree upon the points raised in this video. Let's hope, that Saber Interactive watches the latest news on the Unreal Engine 5.2 and the demo with the truck/lorry. They could have physics problems outsourced to the engine and concentrate on gameplay functionality and creating tools for the community to more easily develop their own content. E.g. what about a map editor built inside the Snowrunner game? How about dying options for changing colours of trailers and maybe even their wheels? What about manual gear shift, the possibility to permanently remove obstacles like rocks, even out pits, fix and even extend damaged roads, dig tunnels? This could be done in Unreal Engine AND it supports VR aswell aa development for multiple platforms out of the box. The automatic hinting system of the new Unreal editor as well as automatically generating maps would also free up capacity of the development team, so they could focus on other elements of the game development. Now don't get me wrong: Using a licensed game engine for your game can become costly. On the other hand I see so many companies making the same mistake over and over again: reinventing the wheel because they THINK it saves them money. But if you have to develop and maintain your own game engine, this can be a daunting task at best for AAA games. You may also lack the know-how to develop a good engine and therefore the game cannot unfold its full potential.
Ya. The water boom missions could have been much better utilized. The booms link together towers. Making it so you "could" save hauling distance, but don't seem positioned to actually provide that benefit. Also, it's very hard to tell which booms are connected.
Man, this really makes me want to do the Ontario map. In time. My one disagreement would be on the adding DLC missions to previous maps. I get adding the maximum amount of content, but I find it a little aggravating when I've completed a region and moved onto the next, and then a DLC drops, and the previous region goes from complete to like 85%, and now I gotta take a bunch of trucks BACK there just to do one cargo's worth of tasks. I still haven't done the log missions on Kola yet, even though I completed Kola like 2 seasons before logs came out. I just don't want to go back there.
@@SD1ONE When you say loose logs exploit, are you talking about carrying like a dozen logs in a sideboard and cycling the loads at the destination, or something else?
@@MultiPurposeReviewer yes that one...It's been a thing fromdays of Spintires & Mudrunner but I feel that not the way it should be although devs has left us no choice other than mods. There's no short logs addon in game, we're only have body frame addon and yet we get contracts where we need to deliver 5x short logs, etc from one map to another.
@@SD1ONE I don't think I would consider that to be an exploit though. It's like carrying box cargo by stacking 2 more layers on top of what's in the bed and holding it with your crane. It's an alternate way to carry cargo to avoid making more trips, but it comes with its own drawbacks. Carrying multiple loose logs is really tricky when they can bounce/fall out so easily, and if they do, you need a crane to load them back in. I imagine the devs more saying "That's a different way to do it, and you do it at your own risk," rather than "That's not something you should be able to do. Our game isn't supposed to allow that."
3:25, wondering what's inside the creates and how to make 1 slot of cargo with 7 slots of material, maybe there are some zip, RAR, or maybe 7z files in them? 😛 4:54, that one is really IMPRESSIVE! Really worth the effort to make it happen. 5:38, there are where those big tractors shine. Now be honest, I haven't played this yet, I am too busy recently, for the sake of money for new project IRL. From your video, I feel the Devs are just lazy, they probably get tired of this game. Hope they are busy with a secret project, the next generation of off road trucking game. If not, I can just say, they are not match the dev of ATS&ETS2 and Beam.NG.
You can wait for them to fix the major bugs I mentioned in video. If the dev team is same who worked on mudrunner then they still have potential but I am realising that it might not be the same team as Mudrunner because those devs were very keen on little details.
The gallons/liters water issue also vanishing water no water in cat tanks and no heavy trailers to haul was a bit disappointing! Otherwise it was a great new addition to snowrunner
For me, The maps are the best thing in this DLC, trucks are second best still I think they should've work more on water mecahnics and those bugs are seriously annoying and are suppose to be fixed in PTS.
Again, Most people would say they hate farming and thats because devs overused the farming on phase 8 maps. if they distribute those missions in different maps, it would've been less repetative and more fun for player.
You know what would be interesting in the next season of Snowrunner? A location that isn't in the USA, Canada, or post-Soviet states. Maybe even some non-US non-Soviet trucks too!
Yeah, The heavy trailer mission makes me feel the need of those kolobs, etc high sadle trucks in game but there're like fewer and fewer such missions in new phases.
Idk if others share this opinion but i‘d like another military themed map like Kola, the devs missed alot opportunities there as it was mostly exploring. There for example could be some more challenging missions, like recovering an destroyed tank or something and it would also be an good connection to adding tracked vehicles
there won't be any more military themed regions due to obvious reasons, also tracked vehicles won't be added as the game's physics aren't compatible with them. 🤔🤔
I remember I pulled of the heavy cargo mission in Michigan black river to factory with fleetstar in all terrain tires without raised suspension through ridiculous mud and highcentered my truck as well as cargo in woods near the logging are. I managed to complete the mission somehow, but god fucking damn it was a journey full of frustration for 1 stupid hour 🤣
after hearing that this map is easy you got me hooked all the other maps are very hard and with some of the terrain i don't think trucks is what you wanna use i just play on maps like Michigan Alaska just because there easy which for me i like makes the game funner and not making you focus on the difficulty
The water booms being useless also boggled my mind. Most of them quite literally have pipes and pumps going to nearby water sources. And the water disappearing from trailers quickly became the bane of my existence. When it's more convenient to switch between maps because the water tower is closer that way, that's just sad.
Also water will disapear from trailers when you change the truck pulling the trailer all in all it feals like this map just was never finished and pushed out way to early
yes this season pass system is pressurising them to release updates on deadlines and that's why bug happens and instead of fixing previous bugs they've to work on new updates again, The cycle continues.

What an unfinished mess! We give them so much cash in DLC and Passes and they have the audacity to overlook such simple bugs as vanishing water, unused CAT water tanks and lackluster missions! Thanks for making the video! I won't buy this DLC until they fix it!
That's what I am not in favor of this season pass stuff...it pressurise devs to release updates on time throughout the year...doesn't matter if it's finished or not
ask the devs...to craft 1 unit of consomables which is a 1 slot cargo you need 1 long plank, 1 metal beam and 1 metal roll....so you need to craft total 3 I think and I always take 1 extra in case of surprise missions.
i say the biggest missed opportunity is the cat rock trucks. they are irl an actual water tank but the game says fuel only. the water spreader is actually modeled in game grrr
Before adding rock beds, they have to have rock as cargo...As of now they should atleast use that Rock trailer of 770G in other regions as like mission trailer.
@@SD1ONE bit of a misunderstand my friend. I just called the two large cats (745c and 770g) rock trucks as they are found in quarries and heavy excavation jobs. That being said actual mining missions would be incredible.
The way they're going with these updates, the biggest thing I can hope for is the return of the E-7310. It was such a cool truck and is only available as a mod. Would be absolutely awesome if in any of the 3 upcoming phases it was there. The king of mudrunner coming to challenge the king of snowrunner
That's a paid dlc and most of the paid trucks have some kind of limitation which don't even make sense....I hope they don't pull that stuff with this one as well.

Same problem was with spintires before . They lost creativity and game stopped in blind point then they buy it renewed put some fresh efforts to the game and now it is this what eas happened to other developers
@@SD1ONE I tried the big mod crane but it was still too high. I actually deleted the container to try to restart the mission so I may have messed up! I didn't realize until after that I could have tried Limes mobile ramp mod to launch off to hit the container. Maybe that can work for you. Good luck! But I may have to wait (or hope) for Season 10 update for a fix.
Glad to see I’m not the only one haha. Happened to me when I manually loaded container into game, trying to avoid bringing large truck into the quarry. Stuck at 98% completion.
The whole thing with the imperial units is frustrating. Also, when you go to that setting, if you look to the right when you mouse over it, it says "Preferred Metric System" not "Preferred Measurement System". And then with the water missions, the mission goals of 4000 do not change when switching systems. And all of it was reported on the PTS.
I feel stumps are the worse because they're impoosible to spot specially at night...also very minor sharp edge of a stump can make your 20+ Ton truck stuck.
They could still modify some of this stuff, no? Unless it falls under the classic "no updates on consoles" curse. P. S. And it is also about time they did some content additions for free, instead of yet another DLC.
It's unrelease map made by a friend (Max Power on youtube), He use this map to do his own testing and he shared it with me....In my old videos I use proving grounds which is like included in game.
@@SD1ONE i did But i mean when u play solo u often do that u pull another fully packed track+trailer with ur truck+trailer combo, and in the pulled one the handbreak is on, u switch to it release it, switch back, switch back again, and its on again, so that one, u have to pull it with handbreaks on and its so annoying
@@SD1ONE There is a mod version of modern Gauntlet, Blista Kanjo Coupe, Classique Tahoma, Comet GT, Modded Lampadati Corsita (i don't revember a mod name of car), Bravado Gauntlet classic (mod with Gauntlet model from Watch Dogs 1), BF Benito (Edited BF Injection model, but looks like regular VW Juke).
three words for a missed opportunity, "fire fighting mechanics" the basis is already there with crane operation, just stick a hose on the end of it and boom, you're fighting fires
Hello, guys, I found bug: in coop (Only if I go to friend's map) time in game switched 35 minutes forward and back every 1-5 minutes only for me, not for owner this map. I did not find how to fix this bug on the Internet, who encountered?
Biggest issue is xbox and crossplatform with xbox. We literally cant play the game on xbox without spending hour or more for successful connect. And friend from pc can easy join but disconects in few minutes
For me, Season 9 is a misunderstanding ... The lack of mechanics of fires and extinguishing them is a mockery. And machines such as CAT 745C or 770G with water additives are suitable for DLC focused on Mines, Quarries and Strip Methods. And the maps don't remind me of Ontario at all... There should be dense and coniferous forests...
I don't know how Ontario looks in real life but yes CAT water tank was first thing in my mind when I heard about water being used as cargo, I thought they'll add it at some point which they never did, atleast not yet.
Dlc is probably pretty good as users have said, but... im just wondering how the zikzs got thru import laws and fees.😂 cuz ontario doesn't like its imports 😂
Mate, I normaly don't comment on your videos, and in general I like them. Informative and I do know the game enough to tell it takes patience to test like you. My question at this point is: How come after so many videos, and having the game in english, you are still making grammar and spelling mistakes ? I know not everyone lives in US or UK, and/or can be fluent in more than one language. Hell, I don't even mind errors in comments (i probably made more than one) were u have all the time in the world for corrections. Get grammarly, or even find a discord server or a forum with english tutors to check text. We have the technology. One up final quality.
I can't help it man, My mind just skips these errors and just understand the meaning behind even if I recheck them my mind still skips the errors. Although I did improve a lot if you compare my videos from few years ago and will try to improve further.
I have no issue with difficult terrain but what the devs tend to do is make missions repetative and repeating missions on easy terrain is one thing but It's very frustrating in difficult terrains such as some maps of Amur region.
I know it s been said a million times but they need to stop nerfing the American trucks with the lack of mud tires. It' s not realistic at all and based on nothing. I get the feeling there is a Dev, or dev's, at Saber that is Russian and thinks Russian trucks are the best and should always be shown that way in the game. That s why the best trucks with the most power and mud tires are always the Russian ones.
There's 2 things i cannot understand 1: the amount of water into the tankers is ridiculous, i got to play With the mod of water tanks blue/White from creator guldknol because is desperating to see so Big vanilla tankers With just 2000 litres, wich in real Life is nothing, is just ridiculous 2: a truck is as good as it's diff Let me explain, all the trucks With "permablock" diff are good in all situations, no Matter what, but the others, With "only low block" need that, and that makes the truck a Direct sell to me, mudrunner got It right, you want It, you block It, don't want It, just free It, but you can use the difflock in any gear, that's how It should be done, and that's why the derry and zikz are way far behind as the ones With "permablock"
You were certainly playing casual or arcade mode in Mudrunner. In hardcore more, the difflock wasn't available in auto too, and it could overheat on solid surfaces as well
It's not in same league but It is one of the better heavy trucks for american side, supports a lot of addons and can be used as excellent oil tanker in hard mode....Also there're 2 Paystar in game the one I am mentioning here is Paystar TwinSteer. The other one is a 6x6.

It's actually smaller than a water semitrailer. And doesn't get bigger when you build more towers.

Snowrunner log crane is no match to Mudrunenr cranes (except Armatsu crane). but the whole mission stucture of this dlc is off IMO.
I'm just glad they didn't add water missions to earlier maps. I finished those! I really don't need more water hauling in my life.

I think it's a big missed opportunity to not have you 'extinguish ' the fires in some way, a water cannon addon with crane like controls and just have to spray a percentage of the building, a bit like the farming in phase 8.
Yes...A firefighting mechanic would've been good but seeing the bugs in this update...I can't even imagine what would happen if they went after some new feature.
If its broken already why not go big? XD
I felt like firefighter mechanic would be useless if you already exhaust all fire then fire trucks become useless later after complete contants or tasks. Not sure about contests.
Even just a cutscene showing the truck spraying water at the very least.

The water booms work, but in a weird way. Some of them are connected together, some are not. They can be indeed used in a multiplayer, if one of the players transfers the water from the infinite source to a temporary storage, the other can take it from another temporary water storage in the same pipeline that's closer to the fire.
Have you tested them yourself...They should've explain all this in game itself...the page that explain all game mechanics is not updated for a long time now.
@@SD1ONE yes, I did. It was fun to use this mechanic as intended. Too bad the water disappears. I was putting out the fires, running back and forth to the closest water boom, while my partner on the other end of the map was hauling water from a tower to a connected boom.
I didn't play this season yet, so what I'm going to say is only based on this and some other videos.
When I heard about a firefighting theme I didn't expect we'd do the actual firefighting, but I did expect to at least see the fire. To see firefighters at a fireline and moving that fireline further every time you deliver them water, giving you access to another section of the map. Instead we have contracts that make no visible difference and we have to deliver huge amounts of cargo on the same route. Which the devs have been doing quite a lot and it was never fun.
I disagree on the water contracts on old maps. When logging was added, devs also added logging contracts to old maps, but they were just boring and felt like an afterthought. Especially compared to the natural logging contracts on newer maps.
Even the regions are uninspired. When players got tired of the America-or-Russia approach, instead of anything remotely new we got Technically-not-america and Technically-not-russia. And in case of Belozersk I'm pretty sure they only rebranded it as "central Asia" to avoid controversy related to the war in Ukraine.
Add to that some issues and player requests that have been present since the launch of the base game and Snowrunner just starts to feel like the devs are trying to milk a dead cow.
Thanks for your review...I think I would like to clear that about water missions on old maps is instead of overusing them on these 2 maps...they should've divided the mission in old & new maps...I mean since their mission structure is not very creative at least we would have gotten the opportunity to go to old maps again.
Maybe this has already been mentioned, but on the Burned Forest map all effects coming from the truck are also blocked. Exhaust smoke, heat haze, seismic blast, all shut down. At least for me on the Playstation 4. Is it just me? Basically, the Ontario maps are very nicely designed, but the many bugs clearly dampen the fun of the game.

Xbox Series has horrendous crashing bugs in Albany River too, to where it's best to just constantly save after doing ANYTHING and staying off the map entirely if you can as it's constantly crashing. Being around the town makes the game chug too. Couple that with the fact the water disappears in some of the trailers during restarts, and those missions are nightmares. The meat is good here but there is just a lot on this update that feels unpolished and rushed. I know that's kind of a Snowrunner thing, but even by its own sliding scale its pretty wacky.
This is buggest update after Phase 2 / yukon IMO...In Phase 2 yukon update there was 15 cabin bug that keeps us from completing finishing the update and even when they do fix it, It wipes all trucks, trailers from yukon maps.
Despite everything the Zikz has become my new favourite heavy scout and with some trailer mods a really good small load carrier
Just don't use it's top engine as that one only has 100 damage points and it also gets red after like 50-60% damage.

I would like them to do a official Desert DLC like Arizona or Southern Utah similar to that great Mojava Mod map. Also official boats would be nice.

My understanding of the water booms is that it is a bandaid for the issue that water dissapears from trailers when you change map or close the game (and all vehicles when map transferring), and you're meant to store excess water there instead of loosing it. most of the time, it's not worth it.

@@SD1ONE It has at least 2, i know one sits near the factory and warehouses on map 2. I do agree that it's practically useless, rather just go back and get another full tank.
Also the cargoes bigger than 1 unit are bugged in some places. It should be spawned horizontally to fit concrete platform (like in craft zone in first map) but they are vertically so once my container jumped and landed on environment (+bugged metal fence forcing it to shot sparks xD)
I also had a few crashes of the game on my PS5.
I think although this season took extremely long to finally get rolled out, it still seems like this was rushed.
On the other hand I must say, that I wouldn't want to maintain the codebase. It has dynamically grown into a monster it wasn't designed to be at the beginning. Now try to imagine you need to test all platforms with all possible combinations of installed or not installed DLCs, skins, season passes. A real nightmare! And even if they do utilize automatic testing frameworks, it just adds to the development effort, as they too have to be designed, coded and maintained with every patch and update.
As such, developing updates takes ever longer and the underlying engine would really need an overhaul. Especially as some of the fundamental problems need to be fixed, which would require modifying the game engine.
I would also wish, that Saber Interactive would concentrate more on new gameplay features rather than expanding upon the old. This can be done by the avid community.
My final verdict is, that I really like the new season, but totally agree upon the points raised in this video. Let's hope, that Saber Interactive watches the latest news on the Unreal Engine 5.2 and the demo with the truck/lorry. They could have physics problems outsourced to the engine and concentrate on gameplay functionality and creating tools for the community to more easily develop their own content.
E.g. what about a map editor built inside the Snowrunner game? How about dying options for changing colours of trailers and maybe even their wheels? What about manual gear shift, the possibility to permanently remove obstacles like rocks, even out pits, fix and even extend damaged roads, dig tunnels? This could be done in Unreal Engine AND it supports VR aswell aa development for multiple platforms out of the box. The automatic hinting system of the new Unreal editor as well as automatically generating maps would also free up capacity of the development team, so they could focus on other elements of the game development.
Now don't get me wrong: Using a licensed game engine for your game can become costly. On the other hand I see so many companies making the same mistake over and over again: reinventing the wheel because they THINK it saves them money.
But if you have to develop and maintain your own game engine, this can be a daunting task at best for AAA games. You may also lack the know-how to develop a good engine and therefore the game cannot unfold its full potential.
Ya. The water boom missions could have been much better utilized. The booms link together towers. Making it so you "could" save hauling distance, but don't seem positioned to actually provide that benefit. Also, it's very hard to tell which booms are connected.
Man, this really makes me want to do the Ontario map. In time. My one disagreement would be on the adding DLC missions to previous maps. I get adding the maximum amount of content, but I find it a little aggravating when I've completed a region and moved onto the next, and then a DLC drops, and the previous region goes from complete to like 85%, and now I gotta take a bunch of trucks BACK there just to do one cargo's worth of tasks. I still haven't done the log missions on Kola yet, even though I completed Kola like 2 seasons before logs came out. I just don't want to go back there.
For logging, I use mods as in-game attachements are not good enough and I don't want to use that loose logs exploit.
@@SD1ONE When you say loose logs exploit, are you talking about carrying like a dozen logs in a sideboard and cycling the loads at the destination, or something else?
@@MultiPurposeReviewer yes that one...It's been a thing fromdays of Spintires & Mudrunner but I feel that not the way it should be although devs has left us no choice other than mods. There's no short logs addon in game, we're only have body frame addon and yet we get contracts where we need to deliver 5x short logs, etc from one map to another.
@@SD1ONE I don't think I would consider that to be an exploit though. It's like carrying box cargo by stacking 2 more layers on top of what's in the bed and holding it with your crane. It's an alternate way to carry cargo to avoid making more trips, but it comes with its own drawbacks. Carrying multiple loose logs is really tricky when they can bounce/fall out so easily, and if they do, you need a crane to load them back in. I imagine the devs more saying "That's a different way to do it, and you do it at your own risk," rather than "That's not something you should be able to do. Our game isn't supposed to allow that."

Now be honest, I haven't played this yet, I am too busy recently, for the sake of money for new project IRL. From your video, I feel the Devs are just lazy, they probably get tired of this game. Hope they are busy with a secret project, the next generation of off road trucking game. If not, I can just say, they are not match the dev of ATS&ETS2 and Beam.NG.
You can wait for them to fix the major bugs I mentioned in video. If the dev team is same who worked on mudrunner then they still have potential but I am realising that it might not be the same team as Mudrunner because those devs were very keen on little details.

For me, The maps are the best thing in this DLC, trucks are second best still I think they should've work more on water mecahnics and those bugs are seriously annoying and are suppose to be fixed in PTS.
The water to me is just to tedious in the base without mods as you have to dive from one side to the other many times without any way to change that.

Again, Most people would say they hate farming and thats because devs overused the farming on phase 8 maps. if they distribute those missions in different maps, it would've been less repetative and more fun for player.

You know what would be interesting in the next season of Snowrunner? A location that isn't in the USA, Canada, or post-Soviet states. Maybe even some non-US non-Soviet trucks too!

Yeah, The heavy trailer mission makes me feel the need of those kolobs, etc high sadle trucks in game but there're like fewer and fewer such missions in new phases.

Idk if others share this opinion but i‘d like another military themed map like Kola, the devs missed alot opportunities there as it was mostly exploring.
There for example could be some more challenging missions, like recovering an destroyed tank or something and it would also be an good connection to adding tracked vehicles
there won't be any more military themed regions due to obvious reasons, also tracked vehicles won't be added as the game's physics aren't compatible with them. 🤔🤔
I remember I pulled of the heavy cargo mission in Michigan black river to factory with fleetstar in all terrain tires without raised suspension through ridiculous mud and highcentered my truck as well as cargo in woods near the logging are.
I managed to complete the mission somehow, but god fucking damn it was a journey full of frustration for 1 stupid hour 🤣
after hearing that this map is easy you got me hooked all the other maps are very hard and with some of the terrain i don't think trucks is what you wanna use i just play on maps like Michigan Alaska just because there easy which for me i like makes the game funner and not making you focus on the difficulty

The biggest „fuck you“ saber throws in our face is that in the game files there even is a model for an water tank on the cat
The water booms being useless also boggled my mind. Most of them quite literally have pipes and pumps going to nearby water sources.
And the water disappearing from trailers quickly became the bane of my existence. When it's more convenient to switch between maps because the water tower is closer that way, that's just sad.

yes this season pass system is pressurising them to release updates on deadlines and that's why bug happens and instead of fixing previous bugs they've to work on new updates again, The cycle continues.

ask the devs...to craft 1 unit of consomables which is a 1 slot cargo you need 1 long plank, 1 metal beam and 1 metal roll....so you need to craft total 3 I think and I always take 1 extra in case of surprise missions.

i say the biggest missed opportunity is the cat rock trucks. they are irl an actual water tank but the game says fuel only. the water spreader is actually modeled in game grrr
Before adding rock beds, they have to have rock as cargo...As of now they should atleast use that Rock trailer of 770G in other regions as like mission trailer.
@@SD1ONE bit of a misunderstand my friend. I just called the two large cats (745c and 770g) rock trucks as they are found in quarries and heavy excavation jobs. That being said actual mining missions would be incredible.
The way they're going with these updates, the biggest thing I can hope for is the return of the E-7310. It was such a cool truck and is only available as a mod. Would be absolutely awesome if in any of the 3 upcoming phases it was there. The king of mudrunner coming to challenge the king of snowrunner
They announced a new Zikz DLC heavy truck, so maybe it will be this.
That's a paid dlc and most of the paid trucks have some kind of limitation which don't even make sense....I hope they don't pull that stuff with this one as well.

Same problem was with spintires before . They lost creativity and game stopped in blind point then they buy it renewed put some fresh efforts to the game and now it is this what eas happened to other developers

@@SD1ONE I tried the big mod crane but it was still too high. I actually deleted the container to try to restart the mission so I may have messed up! I didn't realize until after that I could have tried Limes mobile ramp mod to launch off to hit the container. Maybe that can work for you. Good luck! But I may have to wait (or hope) for Season 10 update for a fix.
Glad to see I’m not the only one haha. Happened to me when I manually loaded container into game, trying to avoid bringing large truck into the quarry. Stuck at 98% completion.
the opportunities the devs missed are sad, but the fact they still haven't fixed the major bugs that have been there since day one is ridiculous
The whole thing with the imperial units is frustrating. Also, when you go to that setting, if you look to the right when you mouse over it, it says "Preferred Metric System" not "Preferred Measurement System". And then with the water missions, the mission goals of 4000 do not change when switching systems. And all of it was reported on the PTS.
The misson goal does not follow a unit I think...it says x4400, x2200 not litres or gallons although you're right It should swich the units.

I feel stumps are the worse because they're impoosible to spot specially at night...also very minor sharp edge of a stump can make your 20+ Ton truck stuck.

It's unrelease map made by a friend (Max Power on youtube), He use this map to do his own testing and he shared it with me....In my old videos I use proving grounds which is like included in game.

But i mean when u play solo u often do that u pull another fully packed track+trailer with ur truck+trailer combo, and in the pulled one the handbreak is on, u switch to it release it, switch back, switch back again, and its on again, so that one, u have to pull it with handbreaks on and its so annoying

Hello, guys, I found bug: in coop (Only if I go to friend's map) time in game switched 35 minutes forward and back every 1-5 minutes only for me, not for owner this map. I did not find how to fix this bug on the Internet, who encountered?

Biggest issue is xbox and crossplatform with xbox. We literally cant play the game on xbox without spending hour or more for successful connect. And friend from pc can easy join but disconects in few minutes
For me, Season 9 is a misunderstanding ... The lack of mechanics of fires and extinguishing them is a mockery. And machines such as CAT 745C or 770G with water additives are suitable for DLC focused on Mines, Quarries and Strip Methods. And the maps don't remind me of Ontario at all... There should be dense and coniferous forests...
I don't know how Ontario looks in real life but yes CAT water tank was first thing in my mind when I heard about water being used as cargo, I thought they'll add it at some point which they never did, atleast not yet.

It's a super old truck, so maybe it got through at a time when laws were not that hard....just a theory, I don't know anything about Ontario TBH.

Mate, I normaly don't comment on your videos, and in general I like them. Informative and I do know the game enough to tell it takes patience to test like you. My question at this point is: How come after so many videos, and having the game in english, you are still making grammar and spelling mistakes ? I know not everyone lives in US or UK, and/or can be fluent in more than one language. Hell, I don't even mind errors in comments (i probably made more than one) were u have all the time in the world for corrections. Get grammarly, or even find a discord server or a forum with english tutors to check text. We have the technology. One up final quality.

I have no issue with difficult terrain but what the devs tend to do is make missions repetative and repeating missions on easy terrain is one thing but It's very frustrating in difficult terrains such as some maps of Amur region.
I know it s been said a million times but they need to stop nerfing the American trucks with the lack of mud tires. It' s not realistic at all and based on nothing. I get the feeling there is a Dev, or dev's, at Saber that is Russian and thinks Russian trucks are the best and should always be shown that way in the game. That s why the best trucks with the most power and mud tires are always the Russian ones.

There's 2 things i cannot understand
1: the amount of water into the tankers is ridiculous, i got to play With the mod of water tanks blue/White from creator guldknol because is desperating to see so Big vanilla tankers With just 2000 litres, wich in real Life is nothing, is just ridiculous
2: a truck is as good as it's diff
Let me explain, all the trucks With "permablock" diff are good in all situations, no Matter what, but the others, With "only low block" need that, and that makes the truck a Direct sell to me, mudrunner got It right, you want It, you block It, don't want It, just free It, but you can use the difflock in any gear, that's how It should be done, and that's why the derry and zikz are way far behind as the ones With "permablock"
Yes, tankers capacity is also weird but It could be part of the bug too...not sure though.

You were certainly playing casual or arcade mode in Mudrunner. In hardcore more, the difflock wasn't available in auto too, and it could overheat on solid surfaces as well

It's not in same league but It is one of the better heavy trucks for american side, supports a lot of addons and can be used as excellent oil tanker in hard mode....Also there're 2 Paystar in game the one I am mentioning here is Paystar TwinSteer. The other one is a 6x6.
