I will miss Amy as an MLP writer. She can make episodes that portray real problems and elements from the world and give solutions that teach good morals and lessons, without relying on the stereotype. It would have been easy to make Svengallop the bad guy just because of how awful he treats everyone, but beyond that, he was the bad guy for the specific reason of disrespecting RaRa to the point where he was using her (and deceived her) to manipulate the ones they serviced. In my personal opinion, Svengallop's true evil was completely disregarding who RaRa really was and choose to try and create her in his own image, as one of my classmates in High School lead me to my greatest regret with much the same idea. I struggled to understand how to socialize and wasn't really accepted as myself. As I tried to become accepted to my classmates, I lost myself under the manipulation of that one person who was the star of the class.... It's been the worst mistake I've ever made.
The Ponypalooza Rock concert thing was actually a reference to the MLP book "Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza", while still being a reference to Lollapalooza.
"Peel and de-core HIM!" That was possibly the best line I have ever heard you say. In your next Shenanigans you should totally dub over his voice with Donald Trump and then use this clip again. Oh my god that was beautiful.

How many times has that happened only for the main character to have his/her friends immediately back them up? There's no suspense! Here, Svengallop's words hold weight, Rara CAN'T do anything without her- but it takes a friend to make her realize exactly what she CAN do.

The finale OMG. The horns were lit swaying to the music. Ponies cheering while the Piano plays. Even Applejack crying! And they said she cried from the inside!

Having Tony Award winner Lena Hall involved in this one episode is INDEED magical. Hope the crew decide to bring back her and character Ra-ra in a future episode. The moment AJ and Ra-ra started tearing up and hugging one another afterwards, THAT had me sold. Friends to the very end. Didn't have me joyful crying, only gave me intense goosebumps. I have a feeling this isn't the last we've seen of that stuck-up manager of hers.
I think any punishment for the manager pony was cut because of time. However, maybe it's good to have a portrayal like that for a change. There are many people in this world who act like jerks their whole life, and never change or get what's coming to them. However, you can still learn to not let these people effect you, and to try and be the best person you can be, even if they can't. :) I'm also be sad to see Amy go. She and Larson have really been the top two writers throughout the entire series. She wrote 17 episodes all in all, and never really one that wasn't great or at least VERY good. Many of her episodes were my personal favourites, in fact.
I'll write a version of this episode in the POV of Rainbow Dash and my OC, following Svengallop around and Quick Draw constantly wanting to punch him in the face, but Rainbow keeping him at bay until he leaves and then coming at him all Vegeta style.

Definitely one of my top ten favorite episodes of season 5, Lena Hall did an awesome job, loved the message and Amy Rogers last episode was great. (Not as great as Crusaders of the Lost Mark) that is definitely my favorite episode of season five. (Even if I do think that the redemption of Diamond Tiara was really fast they handled it and giving the CMC their Cutie Marks really well. At some point a couple of months ago, all of my Adventure Time reactions so far suddenly got blocked pretty much worldwide by Turner Broadcasting. I lost my appeals too. I decided to quit while they weren't giving me strikes (some other reactors weren't so lucky)
Uh, wait. 500 apples peeled and cored in 24 hours is impossible? How? "24 *minutes*" or "500 *thousand* apples in a day" might be impossible (depending on how many others you rope into helping you peel and core those apples)
I love this episode for the character interaction and amazing music. I love how we learn that it seems like Applejack is great at planning large events. I love how once again we see how random Pinkie Pie is with her calling for her friends and herself in a mirror. I like how we learn about another famous pop-star in Equestrian with in my opinion a really cool name. I love how we see more of filly Applejack. I love how Lena Hall is the voice for Rara because I think she brought the best singing and possibly the best song to the show. I literally got chills when she started singing Equestrian The Land I Love. I love how much like Lady Gaga Coloratura's entrance was. I love how immediately when Applejack talks to her we can tell that Coloratura is the same person she used to be and the manager is the one behind her supposed changes. I do not like the song The Spectacle because I just don't like synthesized music or auto-tune. I really like how close to real life Rarity's statement about Coloratura elements is. I also agree with Applejack that simple is not bad. I love how we are able to tell how nice of a person Rara is just from how she acts especially about holding the contest for the school ponies. I really do not like her manager because he is a terrible pony. Also this kind of me that someone online said was true which was that the writers had a bet on who could create the most unlikable character. I enjoy how the conflict came about because it's natural that Rara would not believe something bad about her manager because to her it appears he was very helpful to her. I love the plan Applejack comes up with to expose to Rara what her manager was really like. I really think that any moment there Pinkie Pie was going to go into Pinkamena mode. I love that we learn that unicorns can use magic to record things and I love how Rara just tells her manager to fuck off when she realizes he is unrepentant about his actions. I love how the manager does the classic villain thing of saying we’ll see how you do without me. I love how Applejack convinces Rara that she will do fine without her manager. I love the song The Magic Inside because I think it is literally the best song that has ever been in the show. I love the lesson of the episode as summarized by Rara. I love how as a surprise for Applejack she sings the song they sang when they were young with the CMC. I did not think of it until I heard it again but this song is probably the Equestrian National Anthem.

Definitely one of my top ten favorite episodes of season 5, Lena Hall did an awesome job, loved the message and Amy Rogers last episode was great. (Not as great as Crusaders of the Lost Mark) that is definitely my favorite episode of season five. (Even if I do think that the redemption of Diamond Tiara was really fast they handled it and giving the CMC their Cutie Marks really well. Anyway great reactions Luffyiscool, can't wait until your next one. Until then, cheers!
This is a fantastic episode. Svengallop is really awful. The entire conflict is well presented. The ending is just stellar.

I love this episode for the character interaction and amazing music. I love how we learn that it seems like Applejack is great at planning large events. I love how once again we see how random Pinkie Pie is with her calling for her friends and herself in a mirror. I like how we learn about another famous pop-star in Equestrian with in my opinion a really cool name. I love how we see more of filly Applejack. I love how Lena Hall is the voice for Rara because I think she brought the best singing and possibly the best song to the show. I literally got chills when she started singing Equestrian The Land I Love. I love how much like Lady Gaga Coloratura's entrance was. I love how immediately when Applejack talks to her we can tell that Coloratura is the same person she used to be and the manager is the one behind her supposed changes. I do not like the song The Spectacle because I just don't like synthesized music or auto-tune. I really like how close to real life Rarity's statement about Coloratura elements is. I also agree with Applejack that simple is not bad. I love how we are able to tell how nice of a person Rara is just from how she acts especially about holding the contest for the school ponies. I really do not like her manager because he is a terrible pony. Also this kind of me that someone online said was true which was that the writers had a bet on who could create the most unlikable character. I enjoy how the conflict came about because it's natural that Rara would not believe something bad about her manager because to her it appears he was very helpful to her. I love the plan Applejack comes up with to expose to Rara what her manager was really like. I really think that any moment there Pinkie Pie was going to go into Pinkamena mode. I love that we learn that unicorns can use magic to record things and I love how Rara just tells her manager to fuck off when she realizes he is unrepentant about his actions. I love how the manager does the classic villain thing of saying we’ll see how you do without me. I love how Applejack convinces Rara that she will do fine without her manager. I love the song The Magic Inside because I think it is literally the best song that has ever been in the show. I love the lesson of the episode as summarized by Rara. I love how as a surprise for Applejack she sings the song they sang when they were young with the CMC. I did not think of it until I heard it again but this song is probably the Equestrian National Anthem.
