People should stop hating on Martin's voice. He may not sound as good as he does on his recording, but that's not the point. Martin performing live adds power and energy. He puts so much energy and emotion into his performance.
I've always said this - CHVRCHES gigs don't even get going till Martin performs. His dancing is infectious :D

If you get the 10 year anniversary edition of their first album the include a mother we share demo with Martin doing the vocals. It's really good
His stage presence is so great. I wish she would get a little crazy like him sometimes. This is my favorite CHVRCHES song, it always gets me through the day.

This is one of the best songs performed live when they're touring . He and the crowd goes mental. I missss themmmm
Never seen so many ridiculous comments in all my days, Martins voice sounds superb live. I appreciate how Chvrches split the singing amongst themselves, adds more depth to their songs.

I love his voice and how thick his accent is! Rad tune!
Martin is what makes Chvurches special. He adds a geniuineness and madness, this is somehow the voice of the modern scotsman - and its nice when Lauren backs him up when he's gushing with all that energy. Without Martin it's a decent hipster/retro (or whatever you want to call it) band, but he takes it to another level.
It's not about how the voice sounds, but what it means: what is behind it, and how his whole being manifests-through

His voice may not be the best but his energy sure makes up for it. He will go berzerk live I tell you hahaha!
Such an amazing performance for a brilliant song
I love the passion that Martin and Iain radiate. Lauren is probably passionate about the music too, but it doesn't show as much.

This version doesn't sound very lively, but watched them at a more energetic concert, this song was really intense.
Nope, I'm sure they made the right choice in letting her do most of the singing, he sounds great on the record, not that great live, but still l love how he has two songs on the album, definitely my favorite new band.

Well being a band where the front sings the most it's always intimidating singing a couple of tunes but he does a great job. In a world where a lot of people lip sync or get paid a lot of money to sing other people's songs, I think Martin is doing pretty well for himself.
The other guy sounds like he has a decent voice maybe he should sing a song, he is good at the like yeno background singing

Though Martin's vocal performance lacks the polish of Lauren's, this song works well as a nice juxtaposition. His animated live performance (this was tame compared to many) is a highlight of most shows.
YES! She's so rude in her interviews. She told us to stop moving around last time I watched them. She said "No mosh pits." Buzzkill. Lol.

he sings really bad in this, but the studio version feels very intense
with the hat he sorta reminds me of jacksepticeye sometimes
Love his Dirty voice
After watching a lot of her interviews and reading over a lot of her lyrics, there's a certain arrogance/snottiness that I've noticed. Like I get it she has a PHD/ and shes in an awesome band,but there's an essence about her that makes her come off like she thinks she's better than everyone else. Just my opinion though. I still love the music.

Not really...although he's not attempting to sound amazing.
Love them, hate this. For me, guy should not be singing. But I guess we all have different opinions. This is more on the "no" side than near the middle willing for debate for me though.
They shouldn't let him sing.
