    I love these views into living situations in South Korea. This space looks AMAZING. And wonderful for game nights with friends.

    People who say this is cheap are forgetting that the Korean salary is nowhere close to the US for this to be worth it. It's a nice apartment, but not the norm. Typically foreigners can afford to pay more rent.

      But see the difference is you can live in korea while working remotely lol and new york salaries are NO JOKE when u consider them outside of new york.

    That's dirt cheap. $1,700 won't even get you a one bedroom in a nice neighborhood in Chicago these days.

      I pay $1900 for a pretty nice one bedroom, but it's not even in Downtown Chicago, rather in the Hyde Park "district" that surrounds University of Chicago

    yeah except not many people will pay $1700 (2.3 million won) in Korea monthly for an apartment. The rental system is a totally different kettle of fish here...ultra high deposit (called jeonse) usually and pay little to no "rent" or half jeonse/half rent. Most people I know certainly pay under 1 million per month or ridiculous jeonse. If you live outside Seoul then that's different

    Yep, when we went house shopping you would be surprised at how huge the apartments are on the 'well to do' side of town. There is a quite a large gap between middle class and those that are in places like this. To compare, just think of how much a month that place would cost in the USA.

    yongsan maybe a prime transport location but most of the homeless are in yongsan and also north side of seoul is old. normally prices are much lower than those of gangnam areas. if you lookin to southern rich parts of seoul, you can find equivalent rent prices to that of NYC today. 1700 in yongsan is really a scam for a 4 bedroom apt 10+ years old no matter how close to the subway.

  • @EGAWEF
    @EGAWEF 7 месяцев назад +1

    and 1700 for an apartment built during early 2000 ??? he was scammed.. you can get places like that at 1000 in seoul prime locations. probably another scammer budongsan ajjumma. Gimme my bok bee, or ill not let you rent a house! lol
