- After everyone finished watching Avengers: Infinity War, all had one thought, which was the fact that Thanos was extraordinarily evil and strong. He soon went on to become one of the deadliest supervillains in the history of films, making the likes of Ultron look like puny mortals. However, there is someone who is far eviler than Thanos. Someone who won’t just kill half the planet but wipe out all of humanity if he wanted to. Someone who doesn’t need the infinity gauntlet or the need to snap his fingers to kill. This person is none other than Thanos’ very granduncle, Uranos. Yes, you heard that right. Although Thanos’ has his family back in Titan, he does have an Earth family which is comprised of the Eternals, each more potent than the other. But what happens when you are introduced to the strongest and most evil Eternal there is to exist? He didn't whip out half of EARTH. It was half of the universe.
And he did it for Mistress Death. He did not kill the entire universe because that would destroy Mistress Death also, with Eternity/Infinity.

Thanos destroyed half of the universe for Mistress Death. He did not kill the entire universe off because there needs to be balance. If everything died in the universe Death and Eternity would die also.

Probably a new character though there was an Eternal named Uranos which appeared in comics before the 80s I think but I am not sure if this is the same character. I think this is a new character or new version of that character. His background is different from the old one I remember which mean that he might be a new character all together.

The narrative of erasing half the universe was very oddly written in Infinity War, given the only wipe we get to see is Earth based. They couldn't film more scenes showing random planets getting wiped?!

This wasnt really his origin. more like first appearances. Im very curious about how the eternals have children... i thought they couldnt... or was it the ones that went to Titan could and thats what the eternal civil war was all about. But also... without the stupid Deviant Gene cop out... why does Uranos and Thanos look like monsters... did they retcon that gene thing... i hope so... i LOVED Uranos design when i first saw it for that reason. hoping that it isnt some stupid throw away thing... but maybe build on that... a defect in the programing of the Eternals that maybe showed up BECAUSE they started having children... or maybe Uranos is the reason they DONT have children and when the ones on Titan DID have kids BAM, we got purple nutsack chin man.

Uranos looks the way he does because of the attacks he did on lemuria and the cracks in his face for other attacks, if he were to be killed and resurrected he wouldn’t look that way anymore but he has never had to go through the resurrection protocols
Also, Legion didnt get whooped off panel, the pacing and story telling for this event is different and the behind the scenes of what their fight was, was just released today, if that helps.
Final thing, funny you say Magneto isn’t godlike, It was literally him and storm that killed Uranos in the last issue of X-Men red. respect him.

Chronos is the grandfather of Thanos and brother of Uranos who is also a cosmic level entity due to an accident using celestial energy. Not on the same level as eternity but somewhere slightly above skyfather levels in terms of power.

Maraco is Mars right ? Im caught up to xmen alittle pass X of Swords. I liked it but really miss the 80s, 90s, 00, 10s style of comics... Even the 70s... This shit is just not as good. I miss the days of Apocalypse, Sinister, Nimrod hell even Onslaught being the crossover big villains, Magneto being a good guy/ villain switching... Omega Red, Sabretooth, Juggernaut etc beings the mid card villains etc... I miss the days of Xmen TAS, Xmen Evolution and even Wolverine in the XMen. I couldn't expect any of my non comic friends to have any comprehension of wtf is happening in marvel or dc these days...
