Volvo V50/ V40 Throttle Body Problem.

I was not sure about posting this video or not, but finally I decided to do so just because it is an interesting idea to try. Perhaps it will be useful in other situations. This car is a Volvo V50, 2.0D, from 2006.

Have exact same problem, sluggish respond, enormous high fuel economy, the rpms are not stable at constant speed... i looked under the bonnet and i saw alot of oil leak on the throttle body, right side under... no fault codes either.. i'm going to buy a new one and hope for the best that will be te solution. Btw great video.

I have had this also.
Faulty TPS on one occasion and split turbo hose on another

What terror codes did you have? P0124? This relates to the TPS/throtle position sensor that results in limp/service mode and check engin lamp.

I have v50 2.0d same car,removed dpf,removed egr,my throttle is fine,changed 2 turbo valve solenoids...no luck..my car looses power only in the low-mid range rpm and smokes badly,there are days that its tottaly fine,very very strange case...

Check the injectors for the smoke. Yes there is always some problem with this model 😅

Limp mode , no acceleration.no power. But the problem still persist.

I have an identical problem on my Volvo. Did you solve the problem by replacing this part

I did not replace it yet. I just remove that clap. Sometimes after the engine is warm it works after a restart. But the fuel consumption is very high.
