Peter Frampton was a pretty boy. Ah yes very handsome but will be remembered as an incredible singer/songwriter and brilliant musician. He will go down in our history. Thank you Mr. Frampton.
I kissed my first true love to this song in concert in Seattle Sep 3, 1979. Local Seattle group Bighorn opened up the show. I am still friends with her but our relationship ended that same year. This song will always be special because of her.
I was at this concert with my baby sister R. I. P. Peter did it for free to thank the fans of the Bay Area for making Frampton Comes Alive the biggest selling live album of all time! We waited in line for 18 hours, ha ha, hard to believe, it was worth every minute! Thank you Peter Miss you Sis❤
I don't remember it being free, although i won the tix from a radio station. I do remember there were 2 shows that day, one started at 7pm i believe, the one i went to started around midnight, think we got out around 3am. We slept outside cause we had no hotel, we didn't know we had tix to the late show, were planning on talking the bus back to sacramento after the concert, but that never happen. Was my very first concert.
@@johnnyb6989 - Both concerts were absolutely free; however, the promotion company Bill Graham Presents, gave around 200 tickets for "premium seats" to the radio station (that you apparently called - IIRC it was KSAN), that the radio station awarded to people that called in. My twin brother worked for Bill Graham so I did not have to spend hours calling the radio station to win front row seats, and he escorted us right in backstage at the Oakland Auditorium past the line that wound around a whole block! It was special for me because my then girlfriend and I were in the audience both nights at Winterland; approximately 3 years before, and were part of the soundtapes that became the still legendary "Frampton Comes Alive!" 2-disc live album. I remember looking to the side while embracing my GF and... every single of the dozen females; including her, were crying during his performance of "Lines On My Face". NOTE: Both August 31, 1979 concerts were more than 2 hours long - that I remember.
Remember apprx.1975 at rich stadium.super performance! Lines on my face is differently my favorite by far.sorry he's feeling all great.very close to heart.keep the faith,God bless Peter!,
When he brought me back to the beach in Laporte TX ,Morgan's point and Galveston in 2006 30years after I got my album at a loca! Stop & rob he played this song and I remembered & cried. Thank you Peter. You are the great guitar player.
Same here. Especially amazing is that Peter always "embellishes" the intensely melodic solo; in a live concert, so that it sounds even better than the previous tour's performance of "Lines On My Face"!
He is very witty and has this intense "knowing" look in his eyes. He could be the poster boy for "a people person" = very engaging and warm-hearted when you speak to him.
Remember this from High School what a great time to grow up...... such great music in the late 60’s through the 70’s...... go look at a list of Lp’s released just in 1973 it’s mind blowing!
Frampton rips so hard. I remember growing up hearing him on the radio all the time. Memory/tear jerking stuff. So nostalgic, yet he just still keeps on ripping! Still has his voice, and chops!! Rock on and thank you Peter.
Oh Peter, We love you so much! Thank you for bringing heaven to earth to share it with us. I know you're having to shift gears but you will always have the music in you because it's who you are. Whatever you're doing now, I hope it brings you joy. And to the person/people who recorded this and kept it in such great shape? Great job! Thank you!!!
Frampton is one of those under~rated guitarist that is sooo talented...that watching him play...then listening with your eyes closed...the sounds are nothing short of chimes from the heavens☆
Takes me back to a very exciting time in my life. Concerts twice a month. Pretty sure I was blessed to have seen this tour in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before The Who catastrophe in '79... ✌
The greatest live albums were recorded in the 70's. Frampton comes alive,Rush- All the world's a stage,Humble pie- Performance,Foghat- Live,Allman brothers- filmore,Ted nugent- Double live gonzo, the Who- Live at leeds,Deep purple- Made in Japan...and so many more!
I Seen Peter Frampton at EMU Football Stadium it was 90 plus Degrees and We Ran out of Drink's = People we're getting Heat Stroked -- Than My Brother Got a Cold Budweiser From Someone and he Gave it to me and When I Drank it -- it Seemed as it was going Down my Throat and I Felt like it Cooled Me Down ✅ Such a Great Feeling 👍
Ends on a Tierce de Picardie ( major chord) after being a minor ballad: a sense of hope or growth after the relationship struggle depicted in the song?
I was 16 years old when this came out, wow, what fantastic memories! Frampton is the best!
Makes me happy then makes me sad that I can`t go back.
Everytime I hear this, I feel the same way...
Absolutely
Back when music was great. This song was the best from Peter.

Peter Frampton, is one of the best musicians ever.
Have listened to this song hundreds of times and it never gets old.
Totally agree

Peter - Congratulations on the announcement that you will be Inducted as a member of the prestigeous "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" in October !
It's been long overdue huh!
I just had a fabulous conversation with Mr. Frampton. A very kind man that always asks about my family. What a jewel.
