This 1911 is so slept on. It’s extremely well made, great finish, great machining/fitment at an insane price! I have the 45 and everyday I love it more. The only issue was the main spring bore and plunger were rough making the hammer crunchy when cocking. I sanded the bore and plunger, added a little gun grease and now it’s smooth as butter.
I have a 9mm and a 45 enhanced model and I am impressed with quality, fit and finish at this price point. Any first time buyer of a 1911 will be pleasantly pleased with this brand.
@@joeyphillips1181 My Tisas is 100% reliable and I heard this from all the people I know who owns Tisas. I also have Colt and Kimber, Tisas is nothing short than these two.

I have a 1911 from Tisas and it’s terrific! And we are enjoying the great exchange rate now between us and Turkey. If they were made in the USA they would be at least double the price!
That model has the UPSWEPT safety tail and that is so much better than mine. I have the A1 service Tisas and man that downward turn safety tail is digging into my skin! Tisas won't so anything about it and suggested I get an armorer to modify it and install the UPswept tail. I will just sell this one... lesson learned.

I'm buying one because I like the rounded corner in my hand, just feels better. And this gun still has great parts and good trigger pull. I was going to spend money on the Wilson Combat edc 9. This one changed my mind
I have to agree as I shoot a atlas Titan a zev hypercomp I purchased a Tisas 45 carry and the shot the stingray and love it a spring job and a polish job and it will be a great gun for under 600. I’m shooting 4 inch groups at 25 yards
Thank you for keeping alive on chanel, sir. I have I ways enjoying your chanel. Right now, my old country is going rough times due to an earthquake. Greetings from Texas USA. Sir, God bless you and your family.
I enjoy your videos so much because you are such a nice and kind southern Gentleman. also, your reviews are always spot on. thank you, Sir. Blessings to you and your family.
I've always liked the way the Commander size pistols feel and balance in the hand. I've carried a full-size 1911 as a duty pistol before and the 1911 platform just FITS. I have an RIA Commander sized .45 but with a steel frame. I bought it as a retirement gift to myself and have been slowly doing some light customizing on it. However, with the steel frame that otherwise excellent pistol is heavy; only one ounce lighter than my 3" .44 magnum wheelgun! This TIsas, with the aluminum frame (I think total weight is just shy of 1.7 pounds?) seems just the ticket. Great review! Keep 'em coming!
As a note,1911's don't need bi-lateral controls. The left index finger can run the gun. Being a "NorthPaw",I practice using the left side just in case my right hand is incapacitated. The sainted John Moses Browning was truly a brilliant designer.
My brother Jeff was a Southpaw. An ambi safety was important for him, but he did just fine running the mag release and slide release with his left hand. He actually preferred right-handed rifles, especially bolt guns.
Tisas is doing a great job with these 1911’s.I got my dad a B45 it’s the stainless full size with the rail.he really likes it had no issues it’s made really well from everything I can see the frame fit is solid there’s no barrel movement.
Thanks for the video. I have the Stingray (9mm) and the Devilray (45acp). Both function well. However the 45acp version is a steel frame and has a little more umph to it when it shoots. The 9mm is lighter, smoother. and much easier to control if that is important to you :) Otherwise they look identical :)
I just purchased a Stingray a few days ago. They now come with two 9 round magazines. Because I had seen other people received 10 rounders I questioned Tisas about it. Tisas confirmed that they come with 9 rnd mags now. I was a bit disappointed in that. Also the trigger pull weight on my gun was measured with a Wheeler gauge at 4 lbs 6 oz average across five pulls.
My Stingray tigger isn't that light. I tried to smooth it out, but it only saw little improvement. I've ordered a Wilson trigger, disconnector, sear, and hammer along with springs. Should feel a whole lot better once I've swapped all the parts in.
I bought this and a bobtail commander 45 by them to match, the 45 is steel frame and doesn't have the trigger the stingray has but it's a reliable shooter and at 492 after taxes from anacortes gunshop the bobtail 45 was a steal.
Probably mu Ruger "Buckeye" Blackhawk 10mm/38-40 convertible SA sixgun. Or my Smith 610 DA revolver. As far as 10mm auto pistols, I really love the S&W M&P.
Bouge, correct me if Im wrong ;but just watching your ejections I'm guessing this pistol LOVES hot rounds. Even though your practice ammo cycled perfectly , all the defense rounds seemed to eject with force far and away while a couple of practice rounds empty casings came back towards you. Nothing wrong with that in IMHO defense guns should be made to shoot defense ammo.
You are correct, this pistol loved the hot loads. I had several standard-pressure empties drop down into my overall bibs, and as demonstrated, the sub-sonic stuff would not run reliably.
I would agree with you on the magazine disconnect, only positive I can come up with to have one, if you got into a situation where you were wrestling to keep the gun and felt you were losing you might be able to hit the mag release and render it useless for the guy taking it from you, but ideally they wouldn't get that close to begin with.

Then I attempted to put another box through it. Same issue. Then it was them responding very slowly and finally saying “what ammo did you use?” I told them Winchester white box 230 grain, pmc bronze 230 grain, PMC bronze 185gr jhp, Winchester silver tip 185 grain, Remington UMC 230 grain. By then a year had elapsed and I got the “we only warranty firearms for 12 months. I’d been speaking to them for over 3 months. They were stalling so the year would pass and they didn’t have to warranty it anymore. I’ve purposely and will continue to purposely stop anyone from buying Tisas 1911’s and I’ve gladly sent each person my correspondence with sds imports (tisas’s importer) and I’ve saved a couple dozen people already.
