Interesting. Thank you. Q: I was given a tube with New England Rope instructions on splicing and two ...fids? They are different diameters and lengths and look like your blue tube EXCEPT, they're not hollow. The have a brass? hook in the end opposite the blunt point. What type and for what purpose are these?
I was wondering about the Selma fid. Thanks for showing that. It seems to be more expensive than a tubular fid, and I wonder about the effectiveness of the little hook.
I much prefer the Selma fids to the tubular. Brion Toss' wand though makes things a lot easier, IMO. Pricing is about the same for Selma Fids and Tubular Fids.
🤷🏼♂️ Wouldn't a SOLID FID be called a SOLID fid? A Tubular would be the SELMA HOLLOW Nesting FIDS... Come on, this is simple. 🔞 Definition of TUBULAR tu·bu·lar /ˈt(y)o͞obyələr/ Learn to pronounce adjective 1. long, round, and hollow like a tube.
Thank you. It would be good to see one with double-braid.
Great video Nick. You make everything look so easy! :-)

Sounds like what I would call a hook fid.

Where did you get that tape dispenser?
Potentially interesting topic. Could you possibly get organised before starting. I gave up at 1:28. Sorry.
Get organized? For the video that I took time out of my day to make for free for you guys? I’ll keep that in mind for next time!
What a rude comment. Shame on you. And the result is that you missed a good overview.
@@arayan83079 Nick. Ignore that oaf. There's always one.
