    FOR HOME MILLERS: this machine doesn't like freshly milled flour from wheat berries. I used mine 1 or maybe even 2 times a month for just a little over a year and the grey splined gear inside the bowl that the dough hook sets on stripped out inside itself and detached from the metal drive shaft. After that the dough hook barely wanted to mix just water because the splined gear wasn't fused to the metal drive shaft anymore and it was able to sort of freewheel by hand.
    Bummer was that it was $42.10 to replace the processor bowl after speaking with a customer service rep and to her credit she was a super nice gal, and was able to diagnose (through video chat) what the problem was.
    Still I'd have to say a $180 investment up front, plus having to buy the mixer/blade attachments separate (like I foolishly did at a local trailer) just to make 10 to 16 1-pound bread loaves comes out to $11-$18+ per loaf before needing to reinvest in a replacement processor bowl.
    Then add the cost of ingredients and you'll feel like you need a smoke break after getting hit from behind so hard.
    Might work great for chopped salads and boxed cake mixes, but if you're into making anything from freshly milled wheat berries look elsewhere.

    What is the model number of the one that comes with the mini bowl chopping bowl? Since there are people on this discussion chain that asked where to find it, I have to assume either you have to get a specific model to get the mini bowl included, or you have to buy it separately. Which is it? If you have to buy it separately, where would you get it?

    • @NinjaKitchenUS
      @NinjaKitchenUS  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your question! We're sorry, we no longer make the mini prep bowl system for our blenders. This would have been for the Nutra Ninja Blender with Auto IQ. Unfortunately we no longer make the model.

      @@NinjaKitchenUS I'm sorry, but I don't think this answer is accurate. This video is for Ninja Professional XL Food Processor with Auto IQ and your video for that product has what I think is being called the "Nesting 4.5-Cup Workbowl", which is what I referred to as the mini prep bowl. I didn't know the exact name until I reviewed this video and others for this product again. That means at some time, you must have had the mini-Nesting 4.5-cup (aka the mini prep bowl) for this food processor; otherwise, it would not have been shown on this video. Also, I've watched videos from other posters, and they show the Nesting bowl and blade came with their Ninja Professional XL Food Processor with Auto IQ. In those videos some of them said where they bought it, but not what model number they bought that included that bowl. Last night, I ordered the NF705BRN from the Ninja Store on Amazon, but I didn't see the Nesting bowl in the list of items for that model number, nor did it show coming with NF701. However, at some point there had to be a model number for the one that has that bowl included, but I could not find it. That is why I wanted to know which item number (model NF705BRN, the model NF701 or another model) is the one that you are showing in this video and that other videos posters said came with the nesting bowl. Do you know if the NF705BRN I ordered comes with that bowl? if not, where do I order it?

      As the video host stated and showed, it does come with the 12 cup bowl, nesting/mini 4.5 cup bowl, two discs - slicing disc and reversible fine and coarse shredding disc, dough blade, chopping blade for 12 cup bowl and mini blade for the 4.5 cup mini bowl. I know this for a fact because I bought one from Bed, Bath & Beyond a couple weeks ago. The model is NF702. It is a new addition to the 700 series food processors. The other 700 series food processors do not have a mini/nesting bowl. You will not be able to see it on Ninja Kitchen's website since it is brand new on the market. I absolutely love this food processor and highly recommend it.
