Thank you for this very thorough review. Does the Professional Food Processor have a different pusher (similar to the one you showed in the video). Wondering if I could get something like that for the Detect.
The Pro food processor's pusher is different from the detect one. The lids are all a little different too, due to the passthroughs for the different features of the blender. The newest version of Ninja's food processor has a pretty nice pusher now though... adjustable slicer, too. Might pick one up and see if it will work on the detect processor base.
I have the Ninja Smoothie bowl blender which was great for single serve but always felt limited by the small serving size. I was looking for a fully multifunctional blender from Ninja and you sold this so well! I watched all your reviews on this blender, bought it the same day, and it just arrived in the mail. Thanks for your thorough reviews 😊
I bought a Foodi blender because it seemed like a good multi use tool while our blendtech was in storage. And it is, but...kinda a bugger to clean/dry with so many nooks. Now our ninja blender is collecting dust. The blendtech handles hot liquid and cleans/drys easy and blends better than the ninja. But if price point and multi use is a concern its hard to beat the ninja. Can't wait to see your chef shed build!
Hey! Yeah.... I love the Blendtek stuff. In fact, IMO they are better than Vitamix. More modern design with that same power the Vitamix offers. It really is hard to beat Ninja on price for features though. There might be an issue with durability, but for me, they've held up pretty well. They Studio build is going good! I just hung the ceiling strapping, and insulation is going in tomorrow, then straight into drywall.
Hi Joe and all, Question: Can you compare Ninja Detect system with the Foodprocessor BN800? (Ninja Professional Plus Kitchen System with Auto-iQ) Can't find it anywhere. Thanks you for your great video's.
Very informative, like it .I bot Ninja detect duo a😂nd is missing2 out of 4 suction cups at the bottom of the motor. Joe U pointed 4.I wonder if 301,303 and 401 have same base design. Thank U for unswerving and video
Thanks for watching! Ya know, if it came out of the box missing those suction cups, you can call Ninja and I think they might send some out to you for free. They've got pretty decent service.
So, would you suggest the foodi power blender or this detect system, or what are pros and cons? I saw foodi one at Costco for a good price, but we are researching. We have an older intelli-sense that had pitcher, food processor and spiralizer. We don't really use spiralizer but would be nice to slice veggies. Thank you for video
Hey... Thanks for checking out the video. I actually do have a comparison video of the detect VS the Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System. The blender on it is similar to the regular power blender so it might be helpful. Personally, I'm a fan on the detect. Here goes the link: ruclips.net/video/0enDXjQ5g2Y/видео.html
I bought one on Sunday 2, for $120 from Costco ...comes with 72oz pitcher compare to other ones in Amazon an all comes with 64oz Pitcher an for $100 more , f*n comes to quality/prices and return policy NO one can beats the Costco, i BUY my everything there 👍👌
Hello, thanks for the review - it was super helpful! I was just wondering if the grey small pusher and big pusher combo component (14:11) is also compatible with the food processor on the new detect system. Thank you!
Hmm... That I don't know. I would say maybe not. Looks like the new food processor has a different design on the pusher.. a better one actually... and an adjustable slicer too.
Thanks! Yes... The slicer is not adjustable on that. Their new food processor has an adjustable one though. I though about getting that attachment to see if I could make it work... I know the old ones do, so maybe.
Yeah.. You do get a little in there if you run water over the top.... Definitely if it goes in a dishwasher. They are slightly open for the mechanism that verifies that the lid is lock on properly. I always hand wash and can usually avoid getting any in there, but it does happen.
I have seen videos where they try making rice flour with this Ninja blender, but the result is a very coarse flour that is not suitable for baking. I wonder if you have ever tried making flour in the single-serve cup instead (using dry rice). The blades in that case seem better suited to reducing rice into a fine flour. Have you ever tried it? What is the result? Thank you very much!
The single cup container does the flour waaaay better. It's more compact, so it keeps everyting closer. With the main pitcher, a lot gets missed unless you really making a lot, but still, it will leave some larger harder chunks in there.
I've had this system for just about a year and it still seems to blend really well. I also have the Ninja Ultimate system, and that one uses the same blade tree. I haven't noticed that dulling out either, so I can't say that I've experienced that. In any case, replacement blade trees from Ninja are only around $15 or $20 I think. I suppose it depends on what exactly you're blending, but I do a lot of smoothies with frozen strawberries in them and such.
Thank you for this ! I bought the tb400 model here in Canada, and I just realized it does not come with the spindle, shredding disks nor the top cover with a chute. I'm bummed, but it was my mistake. I wonder if the parts from the tb401 would fit ? It essentially looks the same. I guess I might have to return it and change models...
It's really similar, but the base for the kitchen system version is different. It had the disc functions on it that aren't on the other base. They phisycally fit, but you don't get all the function.
Hi Joe, What an exceptional review! Thanks! I was wondering... Do you use the dough blade? and how you use it? I am wondering if it can be used for preparing homemade baked goods like cookies and cakes, etc. I have a Kitchen Aid stand which I love, but if a Ninja can do the same, I'd consider switching over.
You have to use the slicing disc in conjunction with the chute and pusher on top and shave down the cucumber a little if it won't fit down it. They could have made that chute a little wider, IMO.
I bought this on a whim today after finding out that the blade to my other ninja blender was MIA (how does one lose a blade?). I usually do a lot of research before making these kinds of purchases but needed it today for a meal. I winged using the processor but was so pleasantly surprised at the power of this thing. My old ninja was underwhelming at times when i needed it so it was needing an upgrade and so thankful I made the right purchase! And bonus my old ninja blade fits! 🎉
Hey Could you know that ninja spice grinder attachment fits to ninja Bn805c model. I want to buy spice grinder from ninja so if you can make a video on that then it would be a great help to people like me.
Hi there. I'm not sure about that, but the 800 series had a similar design to the detect system, and the single serve cups for detect work on the Ninja Ultimate system.. That spice grinder works on the Ultimate system too as it connects the same way a single serve cup does. I would say it will probably work, but I'd have to get one and see... Been wanting one so I might see about getting one and checking that out.
Thank you Joe. I have the professional one you show near the end. The only thing I hate about it is shredding cheese, seems to collect a wad of cheese on top of blade that the pusher can never seem to be low enough to push through. I end up eating it while cooking lol
88 dB is on the low end. For comparison, the Ninja Twisti SS150 is on the higher end at 100 dB. Most full size blenders are somewhere in the 90s. Note that dB is on an exponential scale--e.g. 100 dB sounds as if it's about 4x louder than an 80 dB sound.
My question is why woukd u need that blender when u got the food processor? Those blades do the same thing tho? Im seeing the functions, and im thinking well u can shredd and mince in the processor, why would u shred and mince in the blender as well? Like having two of the same machine just different shape? Maybe I'm missing the point or missing something here apologies. Any help is appreciated as to what one can do that the other one cant . ❤️🔥

Heya Davie. The Processing pitchers discs won't work in the pitcher since the lids and the sizes of the discs are too big for it. Also the processing blade is a little different from the main blade in the blender since it's designed more for chopping. The other discs I tried out in it were from my old 5 yr old processor, so in that case at least you can eliminate having a separate processing unit. If you wanted to dice stuff in main pitcher, you can still do it with the blender blade, but it tedious, and the speeds are so high, that you end up liquifying it really easily, also. Hope that helps!

The 2 extra discs that I was showing? Those would be accessories for the "Ninja Professional Food Processor". If they don't have them on the website, you might be able to pick them up on Amazon.
@drmorena26 I just squirt a little dawn soap in the pitcher, fill it about half way with hot tap water and blend a couple of cycyles. Takes off all but the most stubborn stuff.
That other pusher was from the Ninja Foodi Ultimate System. Sadly, it doesn't fit on the detect though. I haven't seen any improved accessories for that part yet, either.
Hi. Yes, it has those programs in the mode area of the dial. The two systems are very similar, except that Detect is a little more advanced, and it has a better food processing bowl with a pusher on it, and it also has a processing disc.
It's dishwasher safe, but over time the hot water in the dishwasher will start to turn the plastic cloudy. Also, the metal screws are screwed into plastic, and that dishwasher heat makes those a little brittle over time too. Since I just started handwashinf my plastics, I've managed to keep everything looking new.
@@hydrojet7x70 not sure... But the one from the ultimate system will not, and I'm gonna assume that it's similar, if no the same... The ultimate system is part of the Foodi line, so probably not I'd think.
@@JoesPhenomenal meaning someone can buy this new powerful machine and order a set of blades. Because they're designed and likely marketed for the older machine, they'll likely be less expensive.

Great Video, I just purchased this from Costco at the Sale Price. BTW, when purchased from Costco it comes with Two of the 24 Oz Single-Serve Cups. I haven't used it yet. FYI, I've owned a Blendtec (from Costco from long ago (returned it to Costco a year ago, received a lot of grief and shaming from the most disrespectful woman Costco Manger that I've ever encountered that doesn't believe or fully understand "Costco's Customer Satisfaction Policy", I truly had to argue and force the issue to make the return with a failed bearing (defect not required to return an item BTW). I actually Liked the Blendtec product very much (had Costco still been offering Blendtec now I probably would have opted to purchase one again. Our local Costco was having a "Fruniti" Smoothie Road Show with a gentlemen making Smoothie Samples using a pair of old Blendtec units which prompted us to go see if they were selling Blendtec again (sadly no, not online either). They had an expensive no thrills "Vitamix" unit and this very affordable Ninja Deluxe Kitchen System on Sale so we picked one up knowing that I can return it years later if i decide that it no longer meets my Satisfaction.
Vitamin mix can interchange pitcher. Vitamin wins bought this because Costco had it on sake was going to use it in the camper so I would not have to take my blender and food processor nop taking it back my 10 year old vitamin makes better ice cream almon butter and more.
It's definitely big.... That one is surprisingly big. Wasn't sure why... It looks like they could have shaved at least 2 inches off that pretty easily.
that sucks. sorry to hear about that. Costco has world beating service though, so you shouldn't have any trouble returning it... just some inconvenience
Oops! Didn't try that... I'd imagine that would work better in the single serve cup though... Unless you're doing a lot. Otherwise they won't make it up to blade level.

@changemaison lol.. Yep
What app do you use to check the noise
It's an Android app called “sound meter"
Will the two part pusher from the Ninja Foodi fit the Ninja Detect system?
@@hydrojet7x70 not sure... But the one from the ultimate system will not, and I'm gonna assume that it's similar, if no the same... The ultimate system is part of the Foodi line, so probably not I'd think.
Damn good review!
Thank you, kindly
Nothing beats the vitamix. I make true soft serve ice cream with vitamin thicker in the vitamin more power....
That smoothie looks so good. I have a Ninja Blender, but now I'm tempted to upgrade.
The disks can be purchased separately for the older system?
The disks from the older Pro food processor? Yeah. Last I checked they had some in their store, and I saw them before on amazon as well.
@@JoesPhenomenal meaning someone can buy this new powerful machine and order a set of blades. Because they're designed and likely marketed for the older machine, they'll likely be less expensive.
@@kewlztertc5386 yep. As long as those older ones are still in production... I swapped mine out and it all worked fine. Some models after this one have a few changes though.
You said the smoothie tamper from the foodi ultimate system is compatible with the detect blender can you show us what is like
Do you also make it with a glass jar?
All of Ninjas stuff is in plastic. I wish they did glass, too.
I actually bought mine here in France for 159,00 euros the 3 in 1 which I think it’s a reasonable prince, I can’t wait to get it.
It's not sold out/ out of stock?
@@MarLa-lq7nx at the actual ninja website it is but there is many other companies that sells like, Darty, Amazon, Fnac etc… I got mine from Fnac.
Nice!
Mr. Phenominal You are Phenominal. LOL LOL Does the Ultimate System use 1 72 Oz. Pitcher 4 Both Blending & Food Processing??
lol... thanks. The Ultimate system just has the 1 pitcher, so it does everything in that 72oz one. You just use a different lid. This one has the separate processing container
@@JoesPhenomenal: Thanks a lot Joe.
How tall with the processing bowl?
Oddly enough, almost the exact same height.... The processor bowl has a taller base paet.
ninja kitchen systemModelCO905KS vs SS401 Comparison would be great please
Will have to look into that.
Does the old feeder fit in the new model?
Unfortunately not... It's a slightly different shape.
@JoesPhenomenal thank you so much for replying, I was thinking of buying the feeder from eBay. Now I know 😊
Thank you very much for the great video.
You got it!
CAN YOU USE THE SPIRALIZER FROM THE INTELLISENSE MODEL ON THIS???
I'm going to guess that you can't. Looks like the pitcher design is a little different. I'd try putting in a call to Ninja on that one though.
Super great video and wonderful information
Glad it was helpful!
Vitamin mix can interchange pitcher. Vitamin wins bought this because Costco had it on sake was going to use it in the camper so I would not have to take my blender and food processor nop taking it back my 10 year old vitamin makes better ice cream almon butter and more.
I loved ninja products but I hate that they are too bulky and bearly fit on my counter under cabinets. Wish they made a smaller version
It's definitely big.... That one is surprisingly big. Wasn't sure why... It looks like they could have shaved at least 2 inches off that pretty easily.
The gear on my ninja food processor broke right off, hoping Costco will return it
that sucks. sorry to hear about that. Costco has world beating service though, so you shouldn't have any trouble returning it... just some inconvenience
@@JoesPhenomenal keeping my fingers crossed🤞🏼
@Worldgonecrazy1968 me too!
Very helpful, thank you sir.
Glad it helped
great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
How to order?
What's the difference between Ninja Detect and Ninja Deluxe Kitchen Systems?
Tengo este combo y con el vaso grande todo se derrama
Solo he tenido este problema si lleno la jarra demasiado alto a través de la tapa.
I just got my ninja yesterday
Nice!
Far out that is loud. That’s almost ear protection levels 😂
But you didnt try to mix seeds into powder 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
Oops! Didn't try that... I'd imagine that would work better in the single serve cup though... Unless you're doing a lot. Otherwise they won't make it up to blade level.
Do you think this is better than their Foodi system?
Noise will eliminate this as a purchase.
@@sandyparker6622 very understandable.... It's a loud sucker.
That was very GOOD JJJOOOOEEE, coming from a guy who is NOT watching too many kitchen gadget videos I am satisfied, will look up other items on your feed. Tnanks.. I meant to say NOT watching....edited now.
Awesome! Thanks for checking it out. Appreciate ya.
Excelentt video
Thanks!

It sucks
Brilliant review, thank you 😊
