Haters will say the intro was lipsynced
AI
They love syncing each other's lips
😂😂😂
Lovers will also say that
Tommy mouthing the intro was hilarious
now they need guests to do sound bites for it (imagine matt mouthing sainz voice) 🤣🤣
@@Bin-G78 they gotta get a driver to do it next time they get an interview
Last video was that too
@@Bin-G78so good! Great idea!!

The intro woke me up real good
AM's one lap pace is great here, and their long run pace is still very good, but nowhere near Red Bull. A few laps in on the mediums Alonso was losing 0.3s to 0.5s, and Max was cruising at almost exactly the same pace lap after lap after lap. It was the same with Checo. He was consistently slower than Max, but his pace never dropped off so he still ended up having better race pace than anyone besides his teammate. They are getting so much more out of the tires than anyone else, that's why they're untouchable right now
AM is a second slower in race pace.
like anyone is near redbull
@Shadowleecher 0.5 tenths. It 2 was 1 second in baharain. But they will make setup changes so will rpabbly get better.
@@ChiXGotnoplanBahrain was also very cold and it seems the AM is easy on it’s tires just like last year when they had problems generating enough heat in cool conditions.
Were did you see 0.3? On the FIA website laptimes Fernado was on 34.7-35.2 on his run and Max 33.7-34.3’s, which is a massive gap, Lando, ferrari’s and merc’s were quicker but also 0.5 slower then max
Ferrari and RedBull just like the last two season are notoriously known for not turning up their engines on friday (or in this case thursday)
Alonso is 1 s behind on race pace !
@@calgar42k but can they keep the same pace when redbull keep chasing behind them and no tyres degradation at all and when they do push Alonso he has to maintain tyre and max fr behind.😅
Quick reminder, mercs were 1&2 in Bahrain. Trams are learning largely revised cars. Dont think P2 is actually as representative as it should be just yet
George has been incredibly consistent since Vegas. He’s been very good. I’m sure Lewis can be up at the front in Jeddah too when he finds a setup that suits his style.
Agreed
And Lewis will always complain about the seat and tires when he underperforms
I feel mercedes have improved from they were
Ik lewis lost power but george was driving the rails off it
@@obiwankenobi7425how about go fvck yourself. How many wins does George have? Lewis has more wins than all the drivers on the track combined. If Lewis says there's an issue, there's an issue. There's a reason he's leaving for Ferrari, Mercedes has fallen, and Toto is the reason because he didn't keep his employees from fleeing to other teams.
@@vanbalzup6481 who are u talking abt
Alonso & Russell did incredibly well in practice. But it is only practice so will have to wait and see how it looks in quali.
It's bahrain all over again ig. And I believe this will be the story throughout the season. Amr24 looks mighty on short runs with quali mode. Alonso will continue to deliver excellent one lap pace at par with Checo and Ferrari. But On race trim, that Aston is nowhere at front.
@@Urgrannytrannythey need more down force.
Like at least 20.points more to find 7tenths in race trim
imagining matt mouthing the intro, and hearing sainz voice.... we can make this happen.
Surely it would be Charles’s voice?
Get Conor Moore to do it in Max's voice
This track is insanely cool imo. Seeing those cars fly around those corners with rocket speeds is awesome.
Shame it's in Saudi though
Why is it a shame in saudi ?
There’s no shame in the Middle East except what happens in Gaza.

Seeing Tom give the intro ❤❤❤
Max said exactly the same after FP2 as he did last week after Merc put fastest time: Others did turn their engines up already.
Alonso was/is 0,6 sec of last years pole, same as Hamilton in FP2 last week.. So no difference there..
@@inflatable2cheers sorry I thought it was 1 tenth. I still maintain though Mercedes had to raise the car up during P2 as it was literally on the floor at the start. Crofty also confirmed they had to change something for legality reasons…
Alonsos lap was quick
It's another way of saying they turned theirs down , we know this fenomenon as sandbagging ;-)
It would be great if you guys can get F1 drivers to say the intro lines so each time there is a new voice😂
I think more tracks need the walls closer, the drivers need to stick in the white lines and it'll help keep the racing honest
I very much disagree on putting walls closer on high speed tracks. If people exceed track limits they get times deleted, warnings and penalties. No need to make tracks a death trap just so they don't exceed track limits.
@@cidiracing7481drivers would drive at 300mph with a wall an inch either side of them if they could win doing it...
With safety concerns, they wided some corners to make the visibility better. Some off the corners are still a concern. All it takes, is one driver to hit the wall and stops sideways. Then another car hits the driver in the side.
@tomklar9584 So? That does not make any more reasonable to add an absolutely unnecessary safety risk.
Now, thats what I call pod racing!
Y’all too funny for the voice swap idea. Keep the humor coming!
Tommy does a great Matt impression to be fair to him

Hi Mat & Tommy,
Where do you both coming from?
I/we come from the Netherlands an it's nice to listen to you both.
I always can't wait till you upload a new video.
Thanks for that.
Greetings Pé
THANK YOU!!! for giving us the inverse intro tooo
This and the last intro caught me off guard. Awesome idea ! 😆
Loving the new intro lads 😅💪🏿
There has to be a balance between Paul Ricard and Monaco when it comes to runoff. A lot of the older tracks do it really well, you can make a track safe without destroying the visual impact
Suzuka is the best tracks for track limits In my opinion too much runoff at 130R and spoon but that’s it. If you want to see tracks with good limits look at any Indycar racetrack
Since the first moments of cars on this track - I'm convinced that someone is going to get terribly injured or killed. That in-car from Logan???...damn
loved that intro ❤❤ 😂
Rookie of the year at it again. Give me HOPIUM
Love me some Matt and Tommy after work
Tommy’s intro was amazing!!!
I really love your videos, and you have so many good insightful comments. Would you do some around F1 Academy, I think they could yours the exposure and it's a really interesting competition
They should give the drivers a heads-up display build into their helmets, with a ui like you get in sim games 😂
I watched the start ifnthe video in the home

Why does tommy look like hes gonna sing "Monday left me broken" at the intro

Omg goated intro 😂
I can't wait for them to react to the press conference
love that intro
The circuits perfect. It rewards the person with the biggest balls in qualifying and that's the very essence of the sport and what we love to see. People putting their life on the line, pushing every limit possible to chase the win
love the intro🤣
What an intro. Also rooting for the king of the streets to do his thing and give us a great RB fight
it s done Verstappen has 4 tenths more race pace than anyone else on the grid !

@@cruz3r. MOMMY IS CANON
That intro boys, fantastic.
This track gives me serious Imola vibes since the first time i saw the track..
Still its an amazing high speed circuit
Love, that, intro 😂
we need those convex mirrors on this track. you know, those mirrors that are used at junctions with large obstructions and significant speed differences...
First, these mirrors are meant to be seen by cars that are stopped, waiting for a gap to cross. Second, how are drivers supposed to see something so minuscule like that when they're hurtling through corners at 150 mph?
this intro was less cursed somehow. i still really enjoy it !
Love the cheeky intros
Max is Thanos. He's inevitable.
Hope all the drivers are safe and there are 0 incidents. I've not been so nervous as I am today to watch some formula on in saudi arabia.
Instead of walls, they should simply add sand traps outside the track. They both have the same effect of being unable to continue at speed, but there's no risk of dying.
Doesn't sand/gravel cause the vehicles to roll at high speed? That's why they got rid of them
@@tomklar9584 I think so. That's also why I suggested it. Because you still don't wanna end up in them. Unlike gravel, which doesn't do that much. But rolling in a sand trap is infinitely better than a concrete wall causing immediate death
@@rdspam Yeah but then there's no inherent penalty for leaving the track, except track limits (which don't do anything in a race). There should be a reason for drivers to not want to risk leaving the track.
Sand can cause problems for everyone else behind them, reducing grip if it sprayed across the track and cause more cars to slide off.
@@vanbalzup6481 But walls do restrict how far a driver can see an accident further ahead, that is almost guaranteed to be stuck in the middle of the road

That intro was a shock 🤣
I love the new intro 😂😂😂😂
That clearly wasn’t lip synced, that was a pitch perfect impression! Well done
What a great intro 😂
Tommy has never concentrated on the camera so much. 😂
Put big screens with live camera feeds on blind fast corners so drivers can maybe keep an eye on them
The reason that the cars look faster hear than any other trak is because the cameras are right up against the edge of the track so moving the walls out would destroy the spectal
Hey, matt and tommy. I must say that I love the constant content and I couldn't be happier to be watching you guys.
But I should say also that I fear that with the amount of content you guys have been putting up, you might get too tired and burnout. Please just make sure you're doing content in a comfortable

Into was amazing gents
I love that what people look forward to is if someone besides redbull can qualify 2nd. What an exciting series.
Alonso P1 would be amazing.
That intro had me checking if I was in a dream still. 😂😂
That intro was HILARIOUS and unexpected😂😂😂😂😂
I agree with Tommy, if you take the walls away of course that’s the safe route but it takes away from the spectacle and you would end up with a track very similar to Paul Ricard. With race results left to the stewards rather than on-track action
Hearing matts voice, and tommy voice acting seems so weirdly soothing
P1 can create a "1 lap championship" . Award points for top 10 qualifiers same as race points . Boom . End of year we can have a qualy/1 lap champion. You can update the 1 lap championshop after each race weekend
There were plenty of track limits during F1A quali, especially at the pit lane entry. And those cars are quite a bit smaller.
I love Tommy ❤❤❤
After Matt's jinx the race will be chaos.
This is intro is the sequel we all need
Best intro
Golden intro
Weird how "sandbagging" was the go-to term for a slow mercedes in pre-season testing (when you absolutely do not want to sandbag) but is not used when Max does it in FP (when you actually should sandbag) and waits until driving means something to actually drive. 😂
I think in practice and qually, they should introduce “slow zones” for these safety issues of slower cars. Basically set areas that the drivers cannot be slow in (aka the fast blind corners) and then the slow zones are in safer areas (aka a straight). Can be dictated by signs on the side of track and/or line markings on the ground.
tommy is hella excited in the intro lmao
random thought: make the walls “transparent”, as in put the ads higher, paint the barrier fences dark
5:03 the onboards are INSANE
Best intro ever. if they ever go back to the old intro I won't watch ever again
We still have to wait and see what will happen in practice 3 and qualifying...but that being said, I think the pace is genuine
Man Q1 is going to be nuts with the traffic jam. Cant wait to see if any car is gonna come close to 1.27.
pls do a full video with switched voices xD
Was not expecting that into lmaooo
Just a idea:
But why not place screens infront of blind corners with a camera showing whats going on behind it. So you dont have to move the walls and still ad some safety or am i wrong
Yes to the intro 😅
Max Verstappen winning by a lap in a race without overtakes would truly solidify him as the best driver ever to exist 😂
Would someone being in the pits be classed a overtake…
@@JokerOrTickle Oh no😱, if not that would mean it is actually possible, its gonna happen...😭
matt's voice coming out of tommy's body is the new most cursed thing ive ever seen
The Sargeant-Hamilton one was just wow. At those speeds the reaction time needed and if it wasn't avoided would not have been pretty. Closest call I've seen in a while.
Well ya saw what happened in fp2 last weekend, didn’t correlate in quali lol!
Based on long run simulations I'd guess we'll get Bahrain reprise on Saturday - Max P1, Checo P2, Carlos P3 - of course unless there is some higher power intervention (technical, human, nature whatever).
HE HAD A TOW ON HIS LAP AND WE LEARNED IN QUALIFYING LAST WEEK THAT WAS WORTH A BAZILLION SECONDS PER LAP!!!!!
That was sarcasm, in case it wasn't obvious.
Off topic a bit, but I was watching F1 Academy and F2 qualifying and I was a bit shocked to see the delta from P1 to last was about 2 seconds. For everyone saying F1 isn’t close, I would argue that it is quite the opposite. The 2 series having spec cars the deltas were huge.
0:00 Yes it happened again
ive been saying it forever, the tracks where passing isnt plausible, should just be time trials instead of races... have a day / night time session where there are points for each session and the fastest 1 lap time takes the pts, you could do a different points system easily
Tracks like this for qualifying should have a bypass for in and out laps. Once you finish your lap you can peel off into a bypass that let's you slowly make your way back to pits in an "infield loop". And for out laps you take same bypass that spits you out on 2nd to last corner to do push laps.
Long point short - 80% of the track should only have cars going at full speed.
Don't worry our dreams will be crushed tomorrow at quali
