6:15 tell me another broadcaster that celebrates a solid save or hockey play by the opposing team with more respect, enthusiasm, and grace than John Shorthouse? Man was built to call the NHL playoffs. He never tilts the ice. He tells the story.

Enjoyable voice, witty, insightful, perfectly matches his tone with that of the game. For whatever reason, he reminds me of Bob Costas calling NBA on NBC in the 90s. I’ll shut up - drop the puck!

I keep thinking back to last year when everyone was fretting over the whole JT Miller signing and trading of Horvat, leading to the pickup of some unknown commodity in Hronek. They've come a long way since then. Myself, i fret about Pettersson. Maybe all his problems aren't just on the ice, but in his head. I think he overthinks everything to his own detriment. Needs to just let it flow baby, let it flow.

Full disclosure : went to a close friend's funeral today. It was very cathartic. Watched the game with my 88 year old Mother up til it was 2-0 for Boston. Then I left because I could sense I was going to lose my temper and say something stupid which I'd later regret. Later on, Mom calls to tell me they won in OT.

Yeah, okay. Solid effort by Vancouver. Love J.T. Miller’s style of play. One thing though, Nucks fans. I know Marchand did absolutely nothing in this one. And I know fans of Canadian based teams love booing him and yuckin’ it up if the gets hit. Feels good letting him know he’s not welcome. But it’s just a loud lamentation because they remember how Brad has pretty much had his way with these Canadian based teams throughout most of his very storied career. So congrats. You beat ‘em. That was a massive, massive win for a team that had come in on the back of 4x straight losses.
I would be intrigued to know what exactly was said in the changing room before the 3rd period, because up until then, we saw pretty much a continuation of a bland and toothless unit that simply did not look like making a comeback in any way. But that they did!
