  • FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers the shooter used a gun with a "collapsible stock" to carry out the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier in July. One person was killed and Trump's ear was pierced by a bullet.

      I was looking at what it means when the FBI takes over an investigation labeled as "domestic terrorism" and in some definitions in their website they mention that things like the 1st ammendment protect their own research. So in that sense, people (only US citizens!) is literally protected by law from FBI when they may be threatening but that obscures FBI's ability to prevent threats. While the website says nothing about the 2nd ammendment, my guess is that it also implies people are not investigated on grounds protected by ammendments.
      So in this sense, I believe with this system of law, the US allows to have more of a "me above everyone else" attitude, which unfortunately would yield to more expensive domestic protection costs for high-profiles and most likely disappearance of foreign-visits (which can easily become virtual anyway).
      The bottom line is that FBI seems to me hand-tied when it comes to its own people. Perhaps the middle-ground is that everyone has the right to own weapons but they must be registered federally? Would that make any sense?

    He's conveniently leaving out the second rifle fire that came from 75-95 feet past crooks position. You can clearly hear two distinct rifles firing in the audio analysis. If the fbi doesn't acknowledge the second shooter, then one can deduct that shooter to be a deep state actor. Maybe a dhs officer who trained with crooks at the gun range. Or the fbi agent who visited crooks family home several times as well as crooks traveling to DC to meet him several times near the FBI HQ. But sound analysis proved there were two shooters. Whoever the second one was. The fbi needs to find him. Unless he was one of them. Then they'll say crooks acted alone.

    Wray is surprisingly knowledgeable and detailed about Crooks' plans, drone activity, and his whereabouts before the shooting. Kinda reminds me of how criminals make up detailed stories for police interrogations. They definitely created a good story. I wonder if they hired someone from Hollywood to write the script.

    OH NO! Not a collapsible stock something that makes a rifle...slightly more comfortable to shoot and in no way effects the firearm in any tangible way!

  • @woodman1701
    @woodman1701 Месяц назад

    So for those of you thinking a collapsible/adjustable stock means anything at all with an AR-15, it doesn’t.
    It’s simply and adjustment for comfort while shooting.
    There isn’t enough movement to make the firearm hide from view.
    It only shortens the overall length a few inches.
    If it was a smaller firearm than an AR with a long skeleton stock than maybe it’d do what that guy was describing.

    Look at the new footage released from the officers on the roof. The rifle laying a couple of feet away from the shooter ( the one he supposedly used ) did not have a collapsible stock. Whose rifle was that? No scope. Looked like a red dot with a flip up front sight from what I could make out. Also looked like a 10 round magazine.

      from what i read indeed there was a red dot scope with no magnifiers, at his car they found 3 x 30 round magazines so i imagine a same one must be used but he didnt carried any other magazin on him, that is strange...

Dude, this is your only job, if you really don't know, hop on your private jet and go there and look at it yourself, count the bullets ask who collected it, look at the camera footage. You know, do the things that any 12 year old with a cell-phone can figure out.

    This is a false narrative. With few exceptions, all modern AR-15's come from the manufacturer with an adjustable (collapsible) stock. Wray should know the difference between a collapsible stock and a foldable stock. In any case, the stock typically has a fairly small footprint. The bigger challenge (for concealment) comes courtesy of the standard 16-inch barrel. Anything shorter requires specific approval of the ATFE. Trying to get that approval from ATFE (for a SBR) can take upwards of a year.
