My Rossi RS22 works great, but sure wish I had reliable large-capacity mags go go with it. The Mossberg 715t 22-round mags just don't work very well. A lot of good used guns not mentioned here are under $200 right now -- Ruger EC9s, LC9, LCP, Zastava M70, CZ Vizor 70, S&W Bodyguard.
I’d get a Savage Mark II before going after the Rossi RS22. The Savage is a bolt action rifle but much better quality IMO. I regularly find used S&W SD9’s for just over the $200 mark, and I’d definitely recommend the SD9 over the Hi Point C9.
