Bro I can't thank you enough for the PACE of this video. Every guide for every type of tip is like twenty minutes long and doesn't even cover a third of what you just got through. Guides like this respect the viewers ability to use the pause button and have a brain. Thank you!

One of my proudest PvP moments in Sea of Thieves was sinking an absolutely loaded Reaper brig with one chain shot. They had a couple of stronghold barrels in their crow’s nest and I just happened to be trying to take their mast down. It might have been an accident but it was an awesome one!
This video was fast-paced but not too fast to the point where I can't understand what is going on. You gave a perfect explanation of the PVP moves that most decent players use, and helped me out a lot more thanmost videos that cover basic and common-sense things, such as one i watched was all about repairing your ship when there were holes in it, 35 minutes on just the best "repairing strat". Thank you for this video, it was so fast paced that i will remember most of this stuff.
I always recommend to keep your sails trimmed as well! It's much easier to lower sails than it is to raise them, and should your mast go down the higher your sail is the less wraveling you'll have to do in order to hoist your mast back upwards! Trimmed sails also allow for better visibility and are necessary on masts like the first mast of the brig where the sail can completely obscure your vision over the bow!
i disagree with your statement on emissaries. from my experience people just try to kill you anyway so the only factor in deciding wether to raise an emissary or not is 'is there a reaper on the server' if there is and they aren't farming skeletons serverhop. if there isn't raise it and get that extra rep and gold in on your way to pirate legend since 90% of the time you're marked for pvp simply by existing.

@@kigut7443 Yeah I’m a noob. I am like on day 3 of the game and I can confirm my experienced buddy and I absolutely nuked another moon boat for absolutely no reason. He figured they had good loot. Turns out they were flat broke and poor carrying barely any supplies and we wasted a powder keg on them. The whole affair took less than 3 minutes because I don’t even think they realized we were attacking them until that charge went off and they sank before they could respawn. I am both ashamed and oddly satisfied with knowing a good powder keg can deal insane damage to a ship. In the words of my extremely blood thirsty friend “ Welcome to Sea of Thieves fools “ 😅 but we made an alliance later with a kid who out classes us and he saved us from getting sunk by these other two who kept attacking us, then running away, attacking us, running away, while we were trying to hit a skeleton fort for some loot. Im french so i played this video at 0,75 speed to make it easier for me ! At that speed , blurbs sounds drunk and its hilarious ! Thanks for everything sir !
ok this is the most embarassing thing i ever post on the internet i think but i just let it be: ive played for just some hours sea of thieves with a french guy who had 8k hours and i just reached 50. we played arena and he taught me so many things in just so little time, aswell as you blurbs, and after some time he said he wanted to sleep. He said enjoy your rest time on the sea and stay safe, catch a good sleep. After that i was crying because i knew ill never see this person in my life again and i havent seen anybody being so wholesome like him in many years dude i shouldve not forgotten to add him
That’s nice I wasn’t so lucky. My first time playing sea of thieves I was solo on a sloop and had “open crew” turned on. A random player joined my crew while I was midway through a voyage and already had a lot of loot on my ship. He then grabbed a storage crate and put all of my materials into it from my barrels, threw the storage crate overboard, then threw the rest of my loot overboard and then hit a rock and set the ship on fire, then left. By the time i noticed what had happened the loot was super far back and my ship was filling with water. I had no wood since he threw it all overboard. I sunk. Lost a bunch of hours for a toxic player to have a laugh.
I think a more approprate term to use at 3:15 is you should start Bailing, not repairing, I've seen new players start repairing as their ship is moaning out in pain and they sink because of it
This video is absurdly good! Oh lord. THIS is how you do guides. Just info, easy-to-digest explanation, visual/audio examples, and repeat. Perfect! The only tips I can think of from another videos is breaking mast by shooting chainshot straight up on the boarded ship and grappling with harpoon and wheel straight to make a circle around enemy ship.
Super helpful. I get so nervouse at pvp..i pull everything but my weapons out 😭. Will try your tips and hopefully, they will get me more confidant in pvping.
They won't. This game is horrible, and so is the community. Don't expect to ever get better because the only people that play this hot garbage are things like this guy that eat breathe and sleep this. You'll never gain a foothold in this unless they leave, which they won't because this is all they know.
Two essential handy tips I learned today. 1 - Buy a storage crate and run around an island or outpost and just use the “store” option to hoover everything from barrels and crates, then bring it all back to your ship in the single box and effortlessly distribute it into your containers with the “stow option.” 2 - When you’re closer inland, you can grapple the ground to the side/back of a ship and reel to cause the boat to Initial-D Drift at a VERY sharp angle. You can do a complete 180° with this but it makes you lose virtually all your speed and you have to take a moment to recover. Works better than anchoring imo, but with an anchor you start back up faster once raised so it’s up to the individual.
Dropping a comment to say thanks for doing what should be far more common on RUclips, useful info that doesn't stay on a single point for 5x longer than needed.
One of your best videos yet! Love the 1.5x voice speed that you manually set by talking fast ;) It helps jam all this good info into such a short video!
It makes you a target for reapers because they’re a pvp faction. They just assume you have something and even if you don’t the whole point of being able to see you is so that they can kill you for the sake of experiencing more pvp
The only thing you need to know about SoT pvp tips is to not play solo. The game is so punishing to solo players I basically refuse to play solo at this point. You just can’t 1v4 you don’t have the man power to repair the ship, return canon fire, keep the other crew off your ship, and stop the other crew from repairing. Not to mention if you die or get blasted off your ship in a 1v4 it’s over you going to just get spawn camped till your ship sinks. They really need to do something to help solo players deal with this, because it’s not fun to just lose by default because they have 4 people.
there is a thing you can do when boarding, when the ships gets a little water go to the bottom deck and do a hiding emote ( preferably a fast one ) so with a quick look the enemy wont know you are there and you can geta easy one blunder
Another thing, there is something in this game called hit registration (hit-reg for short) Theres a chance that a bullet that hits someone doesnt count and does nothing to them. They are NOT cheating, just a bug that has yet to be fixed and it might be that way for a long time. Also, don’t be that guy that assumes everyone that is better than you is cheating, there are many people that are stupidly good with their shots.

I find ramming to be incredibly effective against other sloop crews. The biggest problem with a ram is the approach because youre bound to take ship damage from approaching a broadside or be shot/killed when descending onto the aft of a ship that's running away. However, your ship damage vs their ship damage will always be even or in your favor if you make contact with your bow, and with only 2 people to deal with max it's not so hard to get a full slayout and return to your boat before peril comes to it.
