Amber Cove, Dominican Republic / Carnival Cruise / Private Beach, Punta Patilla

Nice little secluded private beach located near Puerto Plata, Punta Patilla on the north coast of the Dominican Republic about a 50 minute drive from Amber Cove. We did the Mega Truck tour which takes you on a slow bumpy ride to this destination. Some stops along the way include scenery, cigar rolling, eating some local cheese and jewelry shopping. Mario was our guide and he was excellent. Excursions are offered through Carnival Cruise Lines.

Beautiful place, the entire coast of the province of Puerto Plata is full of small and wonderful beaches, mostly virgins, thanks to these reports we can enjoy.

50 minute drive is too long, there are other beaches within 20 minutes from the port.

Mike Ferguson, about 15 miles west of Carnival Port Amber Cove. Look for a place labled Coconut Cove and Punta Patilla on google maps.
