Greetings from a Dominican boy in New Jersey I want to invite you to my town in Dominican Republic you see I've been waiting for the arrival of many many people who are arriving there or who could be there already
2:19 I want to thank Yohan and his team for keeping those beautiful beaches clean. Such a shame that so many people are irresponsible and throw litter everywhere.
I'm loving the whole vibe of the video. Especially the music. Usually, other RUclipsrs would play Hispanic music like salsa. The instrumentals played so well with the drone shots. Great video.
Lovely beaches there. We were there in 2011 and stayed at the Millennium Hotel and resort in Cabarete and it was lovely. I am glad residents are cleaning up the beaches.
William, on minute 4:14 you are at the boulevar and right behind you is a big mall named `la sirena` that is the place you shoulded gone when buying food, because you wnet to touristic places but that mall is were we go, they sell cheaper and they have all kind of food.....already cooked or ready for it.
Hi Willliam , nice video. I stayed at that hotel you show in the peninsula of playa dorada. Please do not miss the lift that can take you all the way up to the mountain. The view of Puerto Plata and playa dorada is amazing.
This was a very low key, calm video. Very nice. This is really you in your element. One of the reasons this works so well is we generally trust calm people. So many RUclipsrs are putting some shocked expression in their thumbnail and it looks so fake when you see it done so often. Basically its crass. This video was calm and classy. Everything you said seemed 100% believable. So rare these days. Thank you for standing out from the crowd. Its was great that you looked at the prices and the minimum wage. This gives the viewer a stark reminder of how hard it must be to live in some of these places for the locals serving foreigners. Talking to poor workers about how they get the things they need is often a great way of saving money in these countries. Like buying your food in an air conditioned place can cost twice as much as a place without air conditioning, like a large, open air market.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. We appreciate you so much. You’ve become a household name on RUclips. You’re so informative we thank you for your knowledge and educating us 🙌👏👍
William....Thank you for the video! I've been to DR twice but didn't visit the northern area you just showed us. During my next visit I will visit there so thanks for your information. Always enjoy your videos and keep them coming! Cheers!!!

Fun Fact about the DR, they are one of the few countries in Latin America, that has been growing fast but at the same time, they have also grown their forests, reason why no matter where you go in the country it looks so green.
Great video, fun and informative...! Please be careful and even if for an athletic guy like you climbing a palm tree is "easy" do not take the risk of doing it when you are alone in the middle of nowhere...

There are small restaurants ALL OVER the Puerto Plata downtown area, but not a lot in the part he was staying. Within a 10 minute walk there are dozens. Also, there are several supermarkets in POP, including the very large La Sirena (like a WalMart) which he showed in the background of his video while he was walking down the Malecon. That one is a 5-10 minute walk from his hotel. For a quick bite to eat, there are little Colmados ALL OVER THE PLACE there that have convience foods. A colmado is like a tiny convenience store. I think William just picked a couple of the wrong streets to walk in his search for food.
Ha ha, the way you shimmied up that coconut tree! 🥥🌴🤣 And while holding your camera too? Well done!! Interesting comments about Christopher Columbus and beautiful scenery as usual.
Hey William, nice to see that you decided to explore Puerto Plata for a little bit longer. I'm heading there tomorrow on a field day to the beach with family. You seem more relaxed and that's a good thing.
Awesome William!!! We are going in a cruise to Puerto Plata next week and I can't wait to see those beaches, thanks for sharing. Great video and great views like always...blessings 🏝🏝🏝!!!
We are going to Tortola and St. John on the Virgin Islands and to Great Stirrup Cay, a small cay on the Bahamas from Norwegian Cruise Line...I am exited!!!

A man of many talents - climbing a coconut palm - oh my word. That looked so very scary. Really nice video informative. Had to watch it again as the scenery was so fantastic. Keep it up William your videos are the best. Take care.
Good stuff, I was wondering, aside from playa dorada, which other beaches you visited would complete your top 3? Do you know or heard if there are any other nice beaches on the west side of the town?
Hello, I see that you are very adventurous. Although climbing a coconut tree is somewhat risky, especially being alone. I grew up in the Dominican Republic. I used to climb almost all the fruit trees except the coconut palms. In the Dominican Republic, many people cannot afford to eat out. On the shores of the street there are many cheap fruit stalls, just ask about the price ( CUANTO CUESTA )beforehand and if you avoid paying tourist prices
The beginning of the video was very relaxing watching the different coasts and beaches...then you climbed a palm tree and it made me anxious. As for the wages of the locals, I don't think they ever buy food at those cafes, its mostly for tourists.
I’m also from Ottawa, Ontario Canada and the flights and all inclusive packages from Ottawa to DR and Cuba are dirt cheap!. Btw I was at the edge of my seat watching you climb that tree while filming😮😮
Thanks for another great video! Sometimes the local restaurants offer local residents a discounted price not posted on the menu. Tourists pay the posted price on the menu. That can help with some of the cost of living for locals.
