    All other YT demos of this were poor. Finally, a guy that truly showed us what it’s like. I like it. I’m giving it very serious consideration. I would really like to hear a bunch of pedals pushed at it. Does anyone know of a demo doing that?

    This is the best review of this amp that I"ve found. I've watched several. Thanks.

    Really well-done review and video. Thanks for using both the Les Paul and the Strat, and going through all pickups on each and all settings on the amp. Best review I've seen by far.

    I love the fact that you didn't dive straight into the hi gain setting. I play 335's too and that amp sounds amazing clean and loud. Spent about 20 minutes with the 50w in Guitar Center yesterday with a 1960's style Les Paul, a SG and the new CuNiFe Telecaster Fender is putting out. The middle drive channel is straight butter.

    I know it would have been taking it a little far into Fender territory, by in board tremolo would have taken this amp over the top!
    Very nice, thorough demonstration.

    it's a nice concept for product Demo I have to say, but I was definitely missing, for the drive- and high- gsin modes, the neck pickup for some singing lead tones?

    It sounds really good I sold my lone star special cause my back went out bad, I would like to get this seems much lighter and more useable then lone star . I have a 64 deluxe reverb reissue hand wired , I just wanted something with more head room ,

    So each 3 setting same like the another previous setting when you max the gain ie clean at max gain wounds like channel 2 at half gain so on etc but this sounds just like my F50 or Express, it's not high gain like a Mark V or Rect.

    This amp kind of reminds me of what Fender was trying to do with their Prosonic from years back....which is funny because when I owned one I felt it was as if Fender was trying to make a Boogie. And here, it's like Boogie is trying to do a Fender. 🤪 But like with the Prosonic, I felt the the amp could have used a bright switch for some guitars. Or maybe the presence dial takes care of that.

    14:06 Okay, if I do this within 20 feet of my Rectoverb with a strat in Bridge position I get a horrifying shriek of feedback that sounds off anytime I'm not hitting the strings.

      @spada60 5 лет назад +3

      really? I think all the vids I've seen sound phenomenal which is why I'm thinking of getting it. Different strokes for different folks I guess. U obviously do not like vintage tones cause this amp has it in spades

    • @addictedtogear
      @addictedtogear 5 лет назад +2

      I love vintage tones. Although the amp has some great points, I prefer my Friedman Dirty Shirley followed by my Brunetti Pleximan and finally my Mesa Triple Crown in that order.

    How does this compare to the Lonestar or Express 5:50+?
    Seems like the clean and crunch channels of the express.

    • @kindnick58
      @kindnick58 5 лет назад

      I said the same thing.. They explained that it has more of a vintage tone than the express 50

    • @samroney6644
      @samroney6644 5 лет назад +3

      My Fillmore 50 sounds nothing like my 5:50+ or my Lonestar, other than the fact that they are all guitar amps. The Fillmore clean is a lot more "blackface-ish" than the Lonestar. The Fillmore drive setting is somewhere between tweed and JTM 45. Both modes are closer in tone(and design) than anything else from Mesa Boogie. Both modes take pedals great, even better than my Lonestar. I don't know what to compare Hi mode to, which I don't really use much. This amp is vastly different from anything MB has made, at least in the past 25-30 years. They say its more like their early stuff. I don't know about that, but it has replaced my Bassman RI and my old Deluxe Reverb, which will likely go up for sale now.

      @@samroney6644 I'm a little torn between the Fillmore and the TC 50. I like the valve variety of the TC for the studio but man that Fillmore sounds great! Just wish the channel and reverb were on the same foot switch.. Rock on!
