Super video!
Great shots Dan
Cheers David 👍
Old good movie. Thx bro😁
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Another great video Danny. When did the 121 class locos retire from service ?
Cheers Rob, 124 & 134 were the last ones standing before they were withdrawn in 2008. I last caught them on film in 2006 when they worked the last of the cement trains down here.
@@TheIrishMainline Wow I didn't think they were still in service that recently. I remember them pulling the anhydrous ammonia tanks through Blackrock as a kid in the early eighties. They used to put the sh*ts up me lol :).
What the 121s did or the fact they were hauling deadly toxic chemicals? 🤣
Both lol :)
😂
What’s going on at 5:35? Braking problem?
Prime example of the lack of maintenance at the time. Brake blocks were let wear back to the metal hence the sparking!
My word, a 121 on passenger service as late as 1995???
One of the last sightings I seen of them in passenger service with the arrival of the 201s months later.
Was the driver at 4:04 wearing ear defenders? I suppose the cab of an 071 may have been pretty noisy
He was yeah, some drivers just don't appreciate the music of the GMs.
