- Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is 1,250 km long controlled-access highway connecting the national capital Delhi with India's commercial capital Mumbai. Foundation stone of the project laid by union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley on 8 March 2019. Under construction Vadodara Mumbai Expressway has been subsumed in this project. The total cost of the project is expected to be ₹1 lakh crore.It passes through the states of Haryana (80 km), Rajasthan (380 km), Madhya pradesh (370 km), Gujarat (300 km) and Maharashtra (120 km) connecting the national capital Delhi with India's commercial capital Mumbai.

It will hold for 50 years, I hope there is constant maintenance because the roads are maintenance free for atleast 10+ years.

Construction work of 1,350 km long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is divided into 4 sections:
1. DND-Faridabad-KMP (59 km)
2. Sohna-KMP-Vadodara (844 km)
3. Vadodara-Virar (354 km)
4. Virar-JLN Port (92 km)
The DELHI - MUMBAI Express highway really a big boost to an Indian Economy and development of the Nation.

Which one is better expressway not considering the length
1) delhi mumbai
2) Samruddhi mahamarg
Samruddhi in terms of alignment as it is designed for speed of 150 km/hr. DElhi Mumbai is better for rain water harvesting , tree plantation and way side amenities.

Meri ek query hai ho sake to pls reply kariye. Apne bataya is expressway mein har 5km ke baad ek median opening hai!! Agar ye itni sari median opening denge to iska matlab vehicles har 5 km mein dusri side cross kar sakti hain? Isse accident ki possibility bahut bad nahi jayegi? Expressway ka to udeshya yeh hota hai ki vehicles bina kisi rukawat ke speed se move kar sake, wo udeshya itne sare breaks ke saath kaise pura hoga?? Kuch samaz nahi aa raha hai..

good info brought to public, you should also make videos on the quality of these constructions after few years of use, and how are existing highways performing. Is maintenance happening, or only toll being charged by toll companies without much maintenance. In India we make things and then dont maintain, exceptions being Army and delhi Metro.

इस Expressway के दोनों तरफ fencing लगाने का प्रस्तावित है। पुरी तरह से एक्सेस कंट्रोल होगा। सिर्फ Interchange से ही entry पॉसिबल होगी।

Why there is a median opening in this expressway....they could provide underpass vehicles could go from one side of the road to another side by using the underpass....in some national highway there is no median opening there are only underpasses..

I don't think this will last two monsoon seasons because of the design and quality work. See the quality of the perforated pipe used it won't last a couple of years.
The rain water comes with lot silt and mud and will block the holes of the pipe and will start over flowing and will never go underground and fails the very purpose of rain water harvesting.

Why median is so small?? Mumbai Pune express way has large median so that car does not end up on other side of the road. Does not seem to be possible on this express way.
Please watch full video.They provide Crash Barrier both the side .Median width is 4.5m it's Enough for expressway.
