Directions - From the West: Take the Long Island Expressway (East) to the last exit-Exit 73 (Old Country Road, County Route 58). Follow Rte. 58 for approximately 1-1 1/2 miles. Right turn onto Pulaski Street (just past Mobil station). Left turn onto Columbus Avenue. Line forms along Stotsky Park parking lot, facing Pulaski Street.
From the East: Route 58 West into Riverhead. Left turn onto Pulaski Street. Continue as directed above.

took my road test yesterday! Extremely easy, my examiner was such a sweet lady. I felt very comfortable, i have anxiety and pushed taking my road test off for years after i failed in patchogue but i am so glad i did riverhead! The test was quick and easy and lasted around 5-7 minutes

@@parisg5569 pay attention to the instructor ... do not go less than 20 or more than 35 then go from 25 to 30. do the stops well be attentive to what the instructor says .. don't get nervous calm those nerves if you lose it the first time It's not a big deal, you have many opportunities, very lucky

This video is a good example of the area. I drove right after it snowed and I was a bit nervous but I passed. I’m grateful for this video because I do not live in the area. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT go and drive in the testing site. My instructor noticed we were being followed and he shared with the people that if he sees them again, they will automatically fail. It’s not worth taking the chance. The area is smooth and if you’ve had enough practice you will do well.

Is this how it is in this video I heard river head was the easiest area to pass the road driving test I already took my 5 hour pre license course in plus I pass my permit test
Yeah, it’s very spot on. It doesn’t show the parking and 3 point turn (broken u-turn) but it’s very accurate. The only thing I’d add is to ensure that you’re going the speed limit. I live in the city and in this area the speed limit changed too frequently. I didn’t get points deducted but I was very anxious about maintaining my speed. Once I noticed I was a bit too fast I just released the gas and let the car gradually slow down as not to have it done abruptly. Best of luck to you! I’m sure you’ll pass if you’ve had the experience.
Also, the roads on this route don't have two lanes to show a lane change, it this part of the test?
I took my road test here and passed after two really rude road test employees at a different location failed me! I went early--and feel it is better to go early when the testers are still freshly into their day and haven't been through the annoyances of their job for hours lol. This location was pretty easy and not too much traffic (at least when i went in the morning). Just left and right turns (w stops), parallel park and 3 point turn. Just be super aware of safety measures (people walking + double parked cars) as the road is narrow. I am writing this bc I was sooooo nervous after my two attempts at patchogue and thought I would never get my license. The driving test is just a test and doesn't fully encapsulate your ability as a driver, even seasoned drivers make mistakes here and there. You can always take it again, be confident in your abilities and drink some chamomile tea right before your test :) its my dads secret to calming nerves if you're a nervous Nancy like me! 🤣 Good luck 😁!!!
Is the parallel park behind 1 car or in between 2?

for the first left turn how much mph should we drive in?
@@user-tx5qf2zn5e its general rule of thumb to my knowledge and what my dad says to always be above 25 but under 35. But u should always slow down for turns! And always look both ways!
yea i failed patchogue too!! i’m going to riverhead the 27th (or sooner if theirs an opening) but my instructor was this girl with long gray hair....wasn’t paying attention, just rude from the beginning and didn’t tell me where to go. so i was in the middle of a small intersection and the light turned red, i went to go since if i stayed i’d be impeding traffic and she stepped on the break and i failed :/ i don’t really like their cars so this time i’m going to use my car. it’s just so frustrating because i know i would’ve passed, even my driving instructor before the road test said id be good. my family was so shocked that i failed 😭 but 2nd time might be different. i’ll need to practice more in riverhead and not let my nerves get the best of me

Thank you so much for this video, I took the road test today and passed by the lords grace. Just relax and while driving if you made a mistake just keep pushing yourself and do your best. This location is easy then other sites. Thanks for the video and the if you have given up on the road test. I am pleading with you to keep trying and not give up.

I passed my road test 3 days ago and the woman was so nice. Her id was 922 and she was really helpful. I was about to hit the curb during my parallel park but she told me to re adjust myself and I did it which only cost me 5 points instead of 15. This vid helped in terms of getting used to the surroundings. I got 10 points off for being too close to the parked cars on the side of the road, so make sure to be more towards the middle. what did they have you do exactly ?
@@kathryn5831 they started by like a little baseball field or something and you line up behind some cars. You can’t drive there or back you must have your parents do it. To start you have to go over a speed bump and turn left. Then after some time she had me parallel park (behind a pickup truck 💀) then after we drove around a bit, we went through flashing yellow lights and stuff. After we entered a school zone so I had to slow down. I did a 3 point turn and we headed back to the start and it was over. The results came out at 6:00pm.

I have a quick question, if I have a back camera in my car can I use the screen during my driving test when reversing ??
Its okey to have back up camera in the car however you wont use it while you doing broken u turn and/or parking. You must must move your neck to the right when you are reversing the car.
I have a question. In your video, you double stop at every stop sign. I thought you weren't allowed to double stop. Are you allowed to double? If not, then when is it okay to do so?
For regular stop 🛑 signs you MUST stop 🛑 2 (twice) 1st for pedestrians 🚶 2nd time for clear the traffic both ways than processed. For allway stop 🛑 sign you MUST stop 🛑 ONCE ONLY than processed.
Also you should look left right left.

Took my road test here last month. Roads are easy, two way mostly. My examiner just asked me to the the turns (make sure not to hit the curb, and turn in L shape if your crossing), exaggerate when looking for traffic at stop signs, parallel parking but not between cars, and 3 point turn (that better be 3 point, maximize the space since most of the roads are narrow). My road test lasted about 8-10min. Focus and pray. Good luck!

You are required to do all the maneuvers such as parallel parking and broken u turn of course Right left turn, pull over to the right or left, Also following all the driving rules and regulations
Took my test here 12/10/21 and passed. Went in the morning around 7:15 and was done in 5 mins. Go here guys!

Hey everyone I just took my road test here yesterday and passed. Just please whatever you do try and avoid an older lady that works there, she was rude from the get go, I never had someone belittle me and talk to me with a disrespectful tone and demeanor to the extent she did in a matter of just 9 minutes. Don’t let her get you nervous or out of character. I understand they need to be strict with the testing but that doesn’t give them a license to mistreat you, talk down at you or disrespect you. Her examiner ID was #364. I’m going to submit a complaint about her behavior while testing me.

I took my road test here (6/7/22 - AM). I passed. The area was very quiet. I mean barely any traffic, pedestrians, hazards etc at all. The examiner was extremely friendly. The double stop examples in this video is a little misleading. I stopped once at each stop sign - there was one turn that may have warranted an additional stop if there was oncoming traffic. While my route was a little different to this one this is a good example of the roads and area around the test site. Good luck!

@@evelynmerinofarfan4031 Yes. Parallel parking and a three point turn. I think these are mandatory road test maneuvers. The entire test was completed within 10 minutes.

@@joemartino8330 is it because you are meant to stop completely once and then yield/slow down and check instead of stopping? should all the other stop signs be double stops?
When I stopped the first time I was fine and hadn’t failed yet but after the second one I was told, “DONT CREEP UP” I didn’t even know what do do after that. The coast was clear to get through regardless so I just continued and made a left hand turn where my instructor then said “we’re going to get hit” as we proceeded to not get hit and have about 10 feet of space between me and the other car after the turn. She just led me back after that and I didn’t even parallel park or 3 point turn so I clearly failed.

Parallel parking always request on right side of the street
Do I still pull out to block the other lane while making a left turn
They will instruct you where to pull over to the right or left
ANY ADVICE? so i live in patchogue and i failed there because of a reason that i can’t explain because it’s just so stupid and i’m mad about a certain instructor there but i’m taking it in riverhead and i just need some sort of advice that you’ve learned from taking the test here or from past experiences, etc

it’s a really easy course. a few left and rights 3 point and parallel park and then i was done. passed with no problem. they give you a card and after 6pm that’s how you check if you passed or not

Im from queens and today I had to take my test, had an automatic fail just because the instructor was looking down when I got out of a parking space and after parallel again he was looking down and said oh you need to check your blind spots which I replied I did looked you just were looking down and he just mumbled something and took me back ,was very rude from the very beginning .anyone taking a test in white plains please avoid going there .I got my appointment for riverhead and I went through everyone’s comments hopefully I don’t get the rude ladies and hopefully I’ll pass it this time ☹️ .it just suck when you get failed only because of rude instructors just not fair for someone that have been practicing constantly for 3 weeks for every single day .thank you to everyone sharing their experience and all the tips I honestly drove back home feeling very down even doubting myself on my driving skills but knowing that I’m not alone in this makes a little difference .

what is the speed limit here? i live in queens and ours is different
and on average how long is the road test
City speed limit 25 MPH but Long Island 🏝 usually 30 MPH try to drive 23-24Mph but never exceed post speed limits
Usually 10-15 MAX if you are good and best you might little fast 💨 it’s fair game

I took my road test here last month and passed. You DO NOT do a double stop at the stop sign then at the blinking red light. You stop once at the stop sign. It is a good road course, though. Good luck.

Road tested here a week ago, this old lady ( I think her Id was 722 ) was so rude and absolutely impossible, I got 45 points off from her and everyone else was failing, I went to another location under a week later and only got 5 points off and passed. Honestly it just depends on the person you get, so never take a fail to heart and pray you don’t get a miserable dmv employee.

@@LifeAskmarieI see everyone talking about being failed for double stopping at stop signs are you supposed to only stop once then creep up and look left and right before the turn or one full stop looking left and right and then continue your turn that seems to be the only confusing thing I’ve heard about this site. Also did you take it in the morning I’m going to do the morning hoping for minimal traffic.

I did not even get to make the three points turn or parallel parking either of the two occasions. She’s very rude I have been driving for two years and in both occasions
