This is my opinion, but I've heard it from countless others too. They don't assess people properly during the medicals they're just incentivized to fail us all. So in practice PIP is awarded by how well you can navigate & cope with the system, not how disabled you are. Disabled people are less able to navigate it.
But then new figures have shown there is zero percent fraud rate for PIP (i'm not sure about posting links on here, so I'd encourage you to google it), so I don't know why they're saying there is. It seems they aren't actually trying to deal with an issue they haven't got, they're just trying to force disabled people off benefits because there's too many of us after the pandemic & making up and issue to do so.

I recently had my phone call and I can say now from experience they absolutely do try to trick you by asking trick questions etc even though they claim they don't and the one thing you must do like this lady says in her other videos is record it (do not allow them to just record it because those recordings have atendancy to get corrupted or go missing when you ask for copies) and my assessor couldn't hide the fact that they were peeved that I was recording it when I told them which made me think they had already planned on screwing me over like they did the last time I applied and they also do blatantly lie when writing down your answers so be ready and do not trust them at all.
Many of them work for Capita who are the same scumbags who do the TV licensing which should tell you all you need to know about what type of people they are, people who are happy to make money from peoples misery and will do whatever they possibly can to get their bonuses no matter who's life it might turn upside down.

I have come close to it because of my mental health and the added stress of the strain and personal questions that are asked. It is not just about my mental health, though. I suffer with my heart, asthma, extensive osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia. I have a stoma and need to have my large bowel taken out and an illeostomy made and put in place. I also have stage 3 kidney injury. The list goes on. I am going through the process again with the forms and feel suicidal because I can't take the stress and know I can not survive without the help I need.

Charlie, I don't think you realise how triggering it can be for somebody who suffers with the kind of debilitating anxiety that I and many like me suffer. I know you try your best to help people, but talking about people never wanting to go back to work as if they're faking it makes me feel like I'm about to pass out.
It's not about whether I want to go back to work or not. It's about this thing of people not believing me and going into a downward spiral of self-doubt and self-incrimination. I struggle daily with self-loathing because I feel totally inadequate. I am embarrassed to leave my house in case people see me and think I'm a scrounger.
If I could have a normal life I would give a kidney for it. However, the thought of going back to work seems such an unachievable goal that it makes me have panic attacks.
I'm sorry if this message impacts you negatively. That is not my intention. I simply want you to understand that mere thoughts of normal life are terrifying to me. I truly respect and value everything you do, but some parts of your videos have a triggering effect on me.

The guy who assessed me basically said that younger (my pronouns are type)people are putting really stupid claims down as having a REAL mental health issue. You ladies have legitimate long standing REAL Mental health issues so please I pray you do not worry too much anymore! Just step back and look at all these kids who spit their dummy out as scream "oh woe is me and i have a mental illness" It is THEM that pip are targeting NOT YOU 🙏🤞👍

    • @Sofia-th1fz
      @Sofia-th1fz Месяц назад

But this is because you have an issue, it’s not reasonable. Therefore you can’t expect her to not say what she has to say. Truly, this comment is unreasonable. You’ll probably say you’re not asking her to not say things but if you aren’t, why comment what you’ve commented?
The reality is, so many people suffer with mental health and it’s simply unrealistic for pip to fund. Factor in the fact that mental health is the most faked issue for it and that’s why the government are cracking down. It’s not sustainable.
I’ve been fighting cancer and because of that I’m an amputee. I’ve had three surgeries. I’m not able to work I can’t even leave the house alone because it’s physically impossible. It’s affected my life and my daughter’s life because she looks after me. If I didn’t have pip I simply couldn’t afford to eat, bathe, toilet, leave the house. There’s no point where refusing me that money could force me to magically be able to do so. It’s impossible. Which is why I’m not worried about losing disability benefits. There’s no arguing that I don’t qualify for the benefits or that I don’t need them. People like me are who it’s designed for.
You however could for example run out of your house if it was on fire. Safely access the bathroom. Leave the house physically unaided. Take away your ability to access pip, you would be forced to find a way. This is a fact.
People in impoverished countries can’t sit back and claim mental health. They have to go get the water. They have to grab whatever food possible. The have to go beg borrow or stealing. Because they have no choice. If the pip funding is untenable, people who are physically capable will have to be the ones refused as there simply isn’t the funding.
Don’t say I don’t know what severe depression and anxiety are like because I do I’ve struggled for all of my teenage and adult life and I *wish* that was all I contended with health wise because what I’ve dealt with is traumatising. You have the ability. You can do it. It’s only having alternative funding that’s allowing you to not do it. Without it you’d have to

She isn't the brightest lamp in the street, but she is very devious. I know that DWP is definitely going through each claim right now. How can she continue 😂. She won't. She will now go covert. My mum is bed ridden and an oap, she lives in a private bungalow that she has to put £400 pounds to every month to be able to stay there. She has carers 4x a day and a cleaner and pays for the garden to be done. If they stop pip, she will have to move out of her accommodation, live in a nursing home and lose her cat and only companion. This will kill her. Hi - first of all, regarding your claim about there being "too many people faking conditions to claim PIP", where is your citation for this please? Every statistic I have seen has indicated that the fraud rate of PIP is actually very small at 0.2% of all PIP claimants. Statistically, more money is lost due to incorrect payments than is lost due to fraud, so I find this line from you very curious. What figures do you have to back up your claim, please?
Secondly, your rhetoric around "OUR community" as being somehow separate to the "fakers" is disingenuous. You are trying to show your own community as beyond reproach while others as being an 'enemy' to focus on. It's very "it's not us, it's THEM" which is a tired tactic these days. If you have any evidence to back up anything you are saying, please do so, because people claiming that others are faking their conditions cause actual harm - which is something I am surprised you do not know about.
Thirdly, the fact that you like the "sick note" change with the GP's is absurd. You want the same people who do these "degrading" PIP assessments to >> checks notes

For me, the system works. The questions, the format, the wording all works. It’s not the system that’s the problem. It’s the government forcing policy on staff to manipulate people into failing their assessments. You have to go to tribunal. It can take years. Many people that are terminally ill will never reach the end of the process because they’re not accurately recorded. We need every meeting recorded verbatim, and those recordings must be used by both the staff and the user in court. Using leading questions shows the system is manipulated. The system is okay, the framework is fine. It’s the staff and government that get it so wrong.

I had my 1st dose of Chemotherapy earlier this week
lovely girl by the side of me with IBD was in tears, She's worked for the council for 5 years
she's gone on Anti TNF her boss called her in she thought he was going to tell her GL for the treatment he actually warned her the amount of time off if this doesnt work she's basically gone. Mel Stride can force companies to build 400 toilets, You shit yourself what then?
Companies want you at 100% even working from home taking phone calls
"Please hold just soiled myself will be about 20 mins enjoy the annoying music"
I know for a fact because they openly boast, middle class people who retire early with massive pension go on PIP for "pocket money" If the Government clamped down on these people it would save a fortune. They openly boast and laugh about it, but because they are of a certain age they know they wont be touched. Truly this is not me assuming they openly tell you, like the winter fuel payments going on a box of Wine.
I've got about 3 years of life left, If the tories wanted to make me feel like a parasite job done

Too ill to work full time (38hrs) & long shifts. Over qualified & over experienced to do the majority of part time jobs - so my CV gets disregarded.

He said, im not stopping your pip or reducing it, i just want abit more information so i can make a decision if i need to keep your award the same or increase it and please don't worry as their will be no assessment either. I will say, and he must be a one off, but the man was very compassionate. Hey Charlie, I've just recently had to go through a PIP review process (above knee leg amputee) and I basically filled out the form with "no change" without going into detail because my disability is pretty obvious, so I sent it back and thought I'd have the usual barriers they put in the way, I sat back and waited. 2 months later, still nothing, I get on the phone and ask what is going on, they tell me I'm in the right list and my case was soon to be looked at. So, whilst I was chatting to the DWP rep on the other end I said to them, "This assessment? It has come to my attention that this "assessment" isn't mandatory" (they're not mandatory, they make it out to be mandatory so their 3rd party companies doing the assessing get commission, hence profiting from taking people off of benefits), to which they couldn't respond and to further strengthen my claim I then requested a "Paper based Review"... Their tone changed immediately lol.. They said I'd hear back within 2 weeks, well, it's one week later and I've won my case. I'd call that another tail between the legs moment for the DWP.

The biggest problem is getting a full diagnosis for complex conditions. The PIP payment does not cover the cost of living. I think the existing approach is disgusting and just laying down and accepting the changes without challenge is wrong. It took me over two years to get my claim for PIP and I got it purely on the basis of my Epilepsy, but since then I’ve have kidney failure and complication that require its removal to reduce the other healths issues because of the complications that it caused.
With all this I was denied ESA. I have been dependent on my Wife to live and feel like a burden on her. What she’s saying in this video is if they decide to not award points for using aids, she would support that because once acquired, the aid doesn’t cost maintenance money therefore, if the owned aid makes you able to complete a task independently thus making your daily life no more expensive or restricted than an able person in regards the task, there’s no need to award points.

It's a shameful act, not only because she appears to be operating in a moral grey area-or outright illegally-but also because she charges exorbitant fees for her services. Her brazenness on her channel is baffling. This behavior could very well be contributing to the stringent measures being imposed on benefit recipients. It's clear she's exploiting the system for personal profit, which is deeply concerning. So, people, please think about this before asking for her so-called "help." The old style DLA was better care wise having 3 stages. I get the higher rate but I’m no where needing proper 24/7 care that some people do. It’s still could have a top tier that’s double what it is now. If you get 12 care points or 40 it’s the same result.
Their consultation doesn’t seem mention many people give up all their care pip and chunk of their ESA already. Not going save money if we have a voucher to give to council to pay care fees.

@Charlie Anderson. I have a friend who had a stroke some years ago that left them effectively in the 'locked in syndrome' state and in a nursing home. He was turned down for PIP/Disability benefit payments as he was judged not disabled enough! He needs to personally apply for an appeal, which he obviously cannot do, and also cannot get 'Power of Attorney' as a doctor decided he was able to manage for himself despite having no motor ability or speach. Again, to challenge this his family have been told he needs to apply in person, which he is unable to do, trapping him in an endless loop. Any advice anyone can offer would be appreciated.

Hi you should seek legal advice. My mum had a stroke in late January, she lives at home now but is in a hospital bed in her living room with 5 carer visits per day. My brother got power of attorney over mum's bank account and to deal with all the health professionals on mum's behalf. Her mind is ok and she can still have the final say if for example she needed to go into a care home that would still be her decision . Hopefully this helps , good luck

“ITS JUST A PROPOSAL”.It’s something what the tories have just proposed. What you have to remember “when” the tories lose power then this green paper proposal may as well be ditched.
You have to remember it takes at least “3 Years” to change something like universal credit which took five years to be implemented as it has to go through many channels ie cross party meetings,House of lords meetings etc and then finally it has to be passed through a budget. If PiP does change then it will take at least 3/5 years and if labour was to still be in power they would not take away money from people with disabilities.

Maybe the Government whichever party should address the actual underlaying problem and fix the length of time for hospital treatment be it surgery to access mental health professionals. And not pitting the vulnerable against each other. The longer you wait you heath deteriorates often to the point you fail any preop then your surgery is postponed.

To cook and prepare a meal means chop, wash, cook fresh ingredients or even pop fish, chips in the oven and cook peas on the hob. But according to the gov website, what needs to be taken into consideration is if you manage it in no more than twice the time of a person without a disability, to an acceptable standard - not burnt or undercooked (this could be due to fatigue or cognitive issues rather than just being a poor cook), the impact it has on your health doing so, if you can repeat it throughout the day as necessary (in this case breakfast/lunch/dinner) and if you can do it in a safe manner eg not have a seizure which would put you at risk of harm.

The only plus side, of course, is the big sum of back pay that you'll receive! Every cloud, eh?

I spend money on aids to be as self-sufficient as possible, yet PIP don't give 2 shits, but hopefully second time applying will work in my favor... fingers crossed. I'm also going down the Limited Capability for Work route too with Universal Credit, as I work part-time and they want me to increase my hours in accordance with the Administrative Earnings Threshold, but I have Fit Note's every 3-months to say otherwise. My UC advisor gets frustrated with me as I know too much about UC rules, they can't get away with anything.

Careful with LCWRA as the Tory green paper has essentially downgraded those with severe mobility issues in the future from LCWRA to LCW due to “work from home” jobs that the Tories themselves are campaigning against with their return to the office mantra. LCW also means not getting the extra money each month.

I have a mortgage and on my own with two kids so I can’t give up work, yet don’t know how to continue.. however without my disabled badge I would struggle to walk the distance to work from parking etc, I get my shopping delivered as I struggle to do that, I have a sit down job as I struggle with breathing and I have joined a gym and go swimming to try and open my airways as per asked to by my consultant.. it’s scary, without someone coming in and doing the jobs I cannot manage I could not work..
