Tony, thanks for making the video. In a few weeks, the 3G prepaid wireless network that supports my SolarEdge monitoring is shutting down. I don't want to pay for an expensive new card and wireless service. I'm looking at installing a Zigbee. Your video is helpful. Thanks again!
Hoping someone is monitoring this! Like others, I have no interest in paying for a cellular change that will just need to purchase again, and this looks easy enough. I am having difficulty, however, finding the Zigbee Wifi Kit. Can anyone direct me to any that are for sale, even on ebay?
for anyone following, WiFi is indeed integrated into the motherboard on my SE 10000-US single phase inverter. So, no additional zibgee card is required.
@@revpaddle my inverter is the 11.4kW version and the WiFi kit was definitely required. If you get the WiFi connected without any additional zigbee hardware, we would be happy to hear about it. Thanks for commenting 👍
@@tonythrasher3913 yeah, I was surprised that it had onboard WiFi. As mentioned in an above note, the side panel had a pw for WiFi and MAC address, so I suspected it might not require a card. Sure enough below the cell card with antenna screw on, there is an antenna screw on coming out of the motherboard for WiFi. Was very pleased.
