    Dear Prof. I am modelling bias-extension for in-plane shear deformation in fabrics. Could you suggest a method to generate the model?

      Hi, thanks for the question. I have not done such a video before but it does sound interesting. I think you should look at this link from ScienceDirect and read more about it: www.sciencedirect.com/topics/engineering/bias-extension-test
      It will require setting up a tensile test and doing it normally. However, due to the woven/textile arrangement of the fibre 45-degree to test direction, you will experience in-plane shear in the guage section of the specimen.
      I will start with a simple homogeneous material to learn first and then find a way to incorporate the woven/textile model later. Good luck.
