I have had these for almost 3K miles. I wikoed out and had them mounted 🤣I would not say they are true 50/50, when compared to some others, but aside from mud I have found them to be amazing. And inexpensive too. - Frank
Almost 300 miles on them now, I'm really liking them. I didn't fare so well in some deep sand, but other than that they've been great so far. Thanks for watching. 👍🍻
Love these tires. I put 12,000 miles on the rear tire and I have 16,000 miles on the front tire. I found them to do well on road, gravel, dirt roads and light mud.
OMG I did a whole season on my Tiger 900 and I didnt even know you could pull out the rubber inserts. Jesus christ its going to change alot next season! Thx man!
I have these on my 1200xc. Great tires I got 8500 miles out of them. I don't do a lot of off-roading but I wanted some good tires when I do. I got stuck multiple times dumped it twice with the stock metzlers. I just like that when I'm on the highway they don't make noise or track funny.
It was, and there's no shortage of dirt roads here in South Jersey. I'm sure you've got some good spots in your area, you should give it a try! Thanks for watching. 👍🍻
It's all perspective. I think the trailmax is the most street tire like riding of the 50/50 or more off-road tires I have ridden. I ride them just as hard as I did Anakees on pavement and don't think twice. They hold and lean over just fine.
After putting close to 100 miles on them now, they feel much better on the street. Can’t wait to get back on the trails in a couple of weeks. Thanks for watching. 👍🍻
They definitely get to be easier turning after some miles. I’m up to 5000 miles on mine so far and they are great. They are somewhat tough to mount though I would agree.
Good stuff and now you're tempting me to get on some knobbies. For tire changes I've used the ziptie and prayer method which actually wasn't too terrible. Also digging the setup with the Garmin, keep safe and have a blast on the dirt!
Nice going. I have been thinking about going with the Michelin Road 6 for my GT Pro. I am looking forward to how you use the bike with the 50/50 tires. Keep the videos coming.
Can’t wait to hit the trails, and make some more videos. Didn’t plan on this dirt ride, so I didn’t have my other cameras with me. I’ve heard good things about the Road 6 tires. Good luck with them. Thanks for watching. 👍🍻
Impressive you changed these yourself, I would still be trying to take it off. 😂🤙 Great first impressions video. That feeling you felt that is hard to describe I felt as well. It does get better. Great roads for sure, look forward to meeting up in near future 🤙
Taking the old ones off was the easiest part. 😅 The new ones were a bit of work. That strange feeling really seemed to get less as the miles went on. Can’t wait to meet up too. Thanks for watching. 🤙🍻
Nice tires … usually pull my tires off a let shop mount and balance… my T120 is going away next week and will have a tiger 850…. You influenced my decision…. Put 60K miles on 2 GS Beemers so I’m familiar with the breed… thanks for vid.
Nice! Congrats on the new bike! The Michelins from the factory were great on the road, and not bad on hard packed stuff. These are pretty good all around, though I did dump the bike in some sand, that’s in my 1K mile update. Thanks for watching. 👍🍺
Did you consider at all lowering the tyre pressure when venturing onto dirt ? I recently completed a trip west to east and return here in Australia on a set of Mitas EO7+ tyres which are even more dirt orientated than the Trailmax Missions and I was amazed at the kilometres I got with better wear endurance than I anticipated from such an aggressive tyre. Initial planning was for some dirt roads in remote areas (Nullarbor crossing) but time and space issues meant I had to remain on the black top. Having done 8K km on the Mitas I am impressed, but with yet another crossing (with a lap of Tasmania thrown in) planned for later this year, this time on my T700 rather than my SuperTenere, I am torn between the Mitas and the Dunlops. Single tracks do not enter into the equation on a long and solo journey such as this so I am leaning towards the Mitas EO7's purely for their better dirt ability on formed roads and in muddy conditions. Maybe I will fit the Dunlops onto the SuperTenere as they get such good reviews. Thanks for the review, and contributing to my indecision LOL.
My first choice was going to be the Mitas E07's, but they were out of stock everywhere. I didn't have my inflator with me, so airing down the tires wasn't really an option on this ride. These tire were great on the road, but I think for the sand we have in my area something a little more aggressive would have been better. Overall I liked the tires for the time I had this bike. I've since moved on to a touring bike, and am looking for a lite dual sport bike to play around in the dirt with. Thanks for watching, and sorry for the increased indecision. 👍🍻
Thanks for the video Any wet road riding yet? I am really between these DTM and the Road 6, as I do mostly long rides in asphalt with sporadic 10 to 15% light off road. I really rather be safe on the road under rain and standing water, I wonder how these DTM do in the rain.
I really didn't get much wet road riding, but I have heard when it's cold and wet they're not great. Dry roads even when cold they were pretty good. Sorry I couldn't totally answer your question. Thanks for watching.
Suggest a tyre review after a few hundred km’s. I have theses on 2017 v strom 650. Initially front felt heavy to turn but now higher pressure and they are excellent traction after 1,000 km
You're in luck! Here's my 1k mile update on the tires. ruclips.net/video/sBdW2Rn5MYE/видео.html Just like you said after a few hundred miles they really started feeling good. I don't have the bike anymore, as I opted for a touring bike, and picked up a small dual sport to hit the trails. Thanks for watching.👍 🍺
LOL the word is "KNOBBLY" :) Yep Totally normal. After you put about 200 miles on them, you won't even notice it. Payoff - you will love riding offroad!
Ha! Knobbly love it! They really started to feel normal to me as I got closer to home. Put about 65 miles on them the day I recorded this. I think I could feel it already. Need to get into some more gnarly stuff. Thanks for watching bro. 🤙🍻
@@MisplacedMotoVlogger Whitebog looks pretty cool. If you wanna dip your toe more into some sketchy stuff, try Stephenson road off of 72 (the road you took the pic from in the air). It's not super hard, but in the middle there is about a 1/4 mile stretch of rideable sugar sand (maybe 3-4 inches deep steady) - it will give you a good feel for the bike in more sketchy stuff - then there is an easy water hazard in the middle (it dries up fairly quick) and then after that, it is a really cool road, loose enough to have fun, a few holes and dips, but you can kinda tear down to to Oswego road. Definitely one of my fave bigger fire roads.
Only if you have have bad teeth. 🤣 They were always "knobbies" in the states in the 60's, 70's and 80's, as the tread pattern, is alas made up of protruding "knobs". A few things in life, actually make sense. 😎
No point in a tire review that reviews a new tire. Waist of time. Review a tire after it is going to scrap, then you have insight. Now it is just jabber jabber.
I thought it was a good review, making it obvious they were new tyres, and told of the feel they provided at that stage. Was never promoted as a long term test, the words "initial impression" being clearly stated.
You’re definitely my hero mounting and balancing your own tires!!! Do you do a lot of off-road riding that you would need 50/50 tires?? Great video Frank, hope they work out for you👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥

Thanks for watching, but I traded the bike in for something different. It was a great bike, but I wanted to go a different direction. 👍

Great video! There are lots of good back roads behind Pakim Pond as well. I've been lost out that way quite a few times.
Oh yeah, and Mt Misery. Can't wait to get more exploring in. Thanks for watching bro.🤙🍻

Probably more gyroscopic effect as they are very heavy tires. More resistant to change angles and turn
It quickly went away after a few hundred miles, they're really good on the road. Thanks for stopping by.👍🍻

Awww, shucks. I drop my bike alot! lol
When I replace my stock tires on my Tiger 900 GT Pro, I am considering these tires. How are they at 75 MPR?
Surprisingly smooth. They seem to handle steel grated bridges pretty well, no wandering. Thanks for watching.👍🍻
Take that sticker off the tank lol
😂 I left it for the next owner. Thanks for watching.🤙
