After reading the comments and realizing the kicker is a walk on, I feel doubly bad for him and his family. That was his “hero” moment and he blew it. I always think about how awkward it must be to be the family members in the crowd after something like that.

It was a textbook pass interference, he interfered with the receiver's ability to catch the ball. You could not find a more textbook, easy, straightforward example of what a PI flag is. It's in the name! The flag was late I guess, meaning they debated it for a few seconds and it wasn't an instant flag, but that happens often and whether they waited 40 seconds or they threw the flag instantly, the call was still 100% correct- and it is a call that has to be made with a minute left in the 4th quarter. The crowd was correct for 'wanting the flag' like the announcer said or whatever. Sometimes home-field crowds at these College football games boo at stupid things and have no idea what they're saying, but this is an example where the crowd was actually correct.

Maybe not for FSU. If they can keep the good offensive play up and keep the defensive intensity up high all year they can wind up going undefeated. And even if they do lose 1 it's not the end of it all. We've seen a 1 loss Alabama and Georgia team sneak in the playoffs. Much harder for the Group of 5 teams to get in there with a loss obviously.

FSU: 2 wide receivers, one 6'4", the other 6'7". 2 tight end, one 6'5", the other 6'7".
Instead of taking under center then 6 or 7 step drop. Snap, ball delivered the Qb can scan the entire field.
Run option: I formation. The RB already back with the Qb, hand off follow the blocks.
Gives you extra time and space in case they pressure. In football, split seconds matter

I thought it was going to be an obvious pass interference, and it probably would've been...if the pass wasn't deflected at the line.
This is something that used to be talked about a lot in relation to PI that doesn't get explained as much, I've noticed, but once a pass has been deflected, it's no longer pass interference, probably for a similar reason why it can't be called if a pass is deemed uncatchable.
Im a Gamecock through and through, but if Clemson cleans up their act they can still be a good ball team. People saying theyre doomed are crazy.
That being said, I have a huge grin on my face watching them suffer, haha!

@@OhSayWhatIsTruthDabo probably SHOULD be in the hot seat. They’ve been overrated the last 4-5 years.. basically since they won their last one.. that was the last great Clemson team. They’ve just had no real competition in the ACC.. so they don’t get as exposed as they would be elsewhere. That being said, they still find a way to lose 2-3 games a year.
IMO….Dabo might be thinking about going somewhere else. Possibly an SEC team. He’s won a NCP twice at Clemson and doesn’t have anything else to prove there. If the right SEC gig comes calling, he’ll go. That’s why people are saying Clemson’s dynasty is done.

I think Klubnik might have a bit of a "hero" complex. That choice to throw it on 3rd & 1 really showed it to me. I get that he wants to show what he can do and be a winner, but he's made questionable decisions that don't necessarily take the team into account. Not sliding when running, throwing into triple coverage, consistently taking the pass option when you have reliable backs for short gains. He needs to work on the mental game. If he does that, I think he'll be a fantastic QB.

@@Black_Caucusno. There was mutual hand fighting. There was no grabbing that prevented movement. No pulling of a jersey. No bumping him off the route. Just hand fighting that happens on almost every play and is never called. To call it differently because it’s late in the game is absurd and to mention the point in the game as though that is relevant is also absurd.

Dabo's god awful decision making is what cost Clemson this game, and it is not the first time his incompetence has the cost the team especially over the last few years. Yes, the kicker missing was costly, but the use of their last time out for no reason and really bad playcalling is what cost this game in my eyes.

What a hard fought game and my NOLES prevailed. Say what you want about Clemson’s miscues but they were ahead the entire time until the end. We definitely had our own mistakes, but it was hard work, endurance & skill that got us the win. If we had been a lesser team we would of lost. Hats off to Clemson for the way they played. We came, we saw and we overcame the adversity and won. So proud of FSU! GO NOLES!!!

Remember commenters that if the refs wouldn’t have thrown that late B.S PI flag this would of looked much different and that missed kick likely never would have happened. The ball was thrown behind them so the WR had to try to come back through the DB making any contact look more substantive. Hence why I say bad call. This is the same ref that threw the earlier B.S flag

Refs were obviously trying to help Clemson at the end with the bs PI call and not calling holding on FSU’s last regulation play. This game just showed how weak Clemson is. FSU’s quarterback is playing with an injury and Clemson still couldn’t win even with ref help

On the Clemson 3rd and 1 play in OT: There are 3 Clemson eligible receivers in a bunch formation on the left. The two Clemson receivers who do not catch the ball (#80 and #6) are responsible for blocking the 2 DBs opposite them on the line of scrimmage to free up the ball carrier. FSU DB #8 comes running in unblocked to make an easy tackle. Looks to me like Clemson receiver #6 was supposed to block the outer DB, but blocked the inner DB #21 instead. This freed up the outer DB #8 to make the tackle while receiver #80 doesn't block anyone because #6 took his man. After the play, you can see #80 gesturing in frustration and saying something to #6. Probably: "You blocked the wrong guy!".
Unfortunately because the QB missed the late adjustment by the Florida State defender, even if they had blocked the correct people it is likely it still wouldn't have gained the yard. Looked like he made up his mind before the snap that he had a 3 on 2 out there but that advantage disappeared just before the snap which should have changed the read.

Clemson was the better team it feels like but fsu took advantage of Clemson not scoring in key opportunities and especially that fumble that cost Clemson an extended lead too. Fsu congrats on the win and hopefully we’ll be back next year
