    I think many fellow Buckeye fans have thought this OSU team was as good as the 2019 team. I'm retired so I watched all the games and lots of video. I warned my friends for weeks that Michigan was going to win and that it would SHOCK many Ohio State fans. The victory machine of this team is the Michigan Offensive Line. I wish that commentators and sports media would recognize this and point it out much more. This O--Line from tight end to tight end magnifies the skill position players of Michigan, some of whom are considered good, not great. This Offensive Line is going to win the National Championship. It reminds me of the Nebraska 1995 O--Line. The defense is very good, but it is not the quality of the 1997 Michigan team, nor is the QB, nor receivers, the Offensive Line Play magnifies the play of those skill position players. It is why Michigan won't lose.

      Hard to compare against the 97 team, wasn't it like 10 or 12 of them ended up in the NFL and 3 or 4 hall of famers? This o line is definitely the best, but I give a lot of credit to JJ. Cade McNamara had that o line also and didn't get it done as good as JJ does.

    • @scooterbee2777

      Very hard to compare to the 97 team. RBs, DTs all favor 22.

    • @aegon4
      @aegon4 2 года назад +1

      JJ is actually a great quarterback, he might need a little more practice on ball control but it’s understandable considering the typical Michigan offense, but we’ve all seen throughout this whole season that McCarthy has an arm and a great eye when forced to throw.
      But that’s not even what makes JJ a great QB, it’s his play making ability, and his legs and heart that make him a 5 star quarterback. The games against OSU and Purdue displayed this in spades. Out of the pocket he becomes the most dynamic QB in college football.
      I agree that all of this is magnified by the amazing O-line, but I think it’s a stretch to say Michigans skill players aren’t great, Edwards, Johnson, McCarthy, all 5 star players.
      Disclaimer; I only leave out Corum because of the injury..

    • @BowensBlvd
      @BowensBlvd 2 года назад

      @@aegon4 they were to confident going into the TCU game, jj forced passes and TCU had great speed at corner.
      The o line was suspect of the awards they got. Didn't seem in sync after the first play of the game.
      Coaching let us down big time. Preparing for bowl games with a month off was apparently not crucial for Michigan staff. They looked green, like first game of the year jitters. Refs didn't help them, but you can't fumble the next play.

      Play-by-play is hard. Karsch says the same phrases again and again. He’s also a raspy tenor which gets lost whereas this guy has a deeper clearer resonance. I don’t know how much prior play-by-play he’s done. He’s not horrible, but he needs to work at it. If he listens to his tapes, he would hear where he can improve.

    Michigan alum here, class of 1994. Please my fellow Michigan alumni and fans, don't let their smooth radio voices and seeming professionalism fool you - they still work for and support pure evil - that being Ohio State. Those people HATE us and many want Michigan to cease to exist. Even these very announcers, for all any of us know, very well may have a VERY different tone when not being recorded.

    OSU you got in...deservedly IMO, go beat that GA team. Hopefully we will beat TCU, and the 2 best teams can match up again! were all tired of HEaring about the SEC. I for one am rooting for you guys! Def have the team to beat GA, just need to clean up those missed defensive assignments/coversges.

    I can’t tell you how many times I watched this and then TCU happened. First possession and on 4th and 2, we finally choose to be creative on offense. Double reverse, TE pass? After choosing to run up the gut win or lose all year? Now we get creative? 8 plays on Rutgers 1-yd line to get two TD’s? A TE pass and changed the entire game. 3-4 OC’s later and the offense hasn’t progressed. It’s Jim, its always been Jim. This win (OSU) now means almost nothing after the collapse against TCU. Thank god Georgia pulled it out because can you imagine us beating OSU, we shit the bed against TCU and somehow OSU wins a National Championship? I realize it didn’t happen, but my god can you the narrative for us Michigan fans if that actually happened? Always Go Blue!!
