I absolutely loved what he said in the beginning, that everything/space should be beautiful but that we shouldn't take it too seriously cause
1. they can be changed, and
2. there are indeed more important things to experience in life than to obsess over perfecting things.
Before this i didn't know doors could be upholstered, now that i think about it, I personally wouldn't like it. That perfect blue sofa is something i would love to own. Such a fabulous piece. He has way to much art but i guess he likes the cosy look. Thanks for the video.

I love the audacity of Miles Redd. He is so confident that it's almost creepy, but in a good mad genius kind of way. Does anyone else get that eerie feeling watching him work? Lol! Miles away from his pinnacle, pardon the pun, he is well on his way to the top!

I love the authenticity...to express without rules!!!! It's how I decorate...staged houses are just to sell the property...not live in them....When you make it home...you have to bring you to the space....You looks like no one else's space....it's not supposed to....wonderfully done...inspiring!!!!!!

Quintessence I love your channel, I am literally obsessed with it! 😁 when I found it a few months ago my world has changed. It helped bring to life something I didn’t know I had. I realized that I can be creative and free and enjoy decorating So I changed many elements of my home decor, I learn new things about color, patterns, i read books about design. I even started taking oil painting lessons a few weeks ago because I had this strange desire to create something beautiful. Your videos set free my spirit of creativity. I can’t wait to watch new ones. I got almost all books by Susanna Salk! Love them all. Reading them was very liberating for me personally. My second favorite video that I watched dozens of times is At home with Carolyne Roehm. Thank you Quintessence! I ❤️ you! (Pls excuse my English, it’s not my native tongue).
I couldn't relax in such a tight and busy environment but it's interesting to hear his thought process and his passion for creating.
Don't forget space is at a premium in New York City. People are being crammed into smaller & smaller spaces / places and it's cost prices are soaring more & more ..

That delicious, sumptuously uber-fabulous red couch! SO wowza. Loved all the artwork, the amount of it showing his love & passion for it, and specifically, that vertical cheetah. Door knob at 2:28, I found it to be a shock for a reason I cannot say, lol. Delightful place. I'm inspired.

I can totally appreciate his ability (success) to layer up accessories, etc & certainly his use of color/pattern but there are places it just does not work. There are so many pieces of furniture in his family/great room! It's hard to understand how a designer of his caliber doesn't see that as a problem. On the other hand, it's clear he feels the rules were made to be broken. I can appreciate him.
Taste ...the gentleman 🕴️ has taste. The only way it works when really it shouldn't. AMAZING ❤️

Miles is a very nice young man with a big talent for decorating in the most surprising way. I liked a lot what he said about doors.. "You can make a real statement by decorating them." The upholstered ones were great. Actually doors are often neglected in modern archtecture. Last not least... Beautiful Susanna was a great guest and interviewer as always. She brings sun to every room with her wonderful hair and her general appearance. Thanks for the vid and greetings from Germany.
