Imo if you would nerf long ammo rifles fire rate just a bit it would make it feel way less oppressive (maybe to like centenial firerate). Long ammo rifles just dont really have a weakness except for when u get in shotgun range which is most of the time your own fault. I dont think its bad that they are the best because they are the most expensive and most players arent on 100k+ dollars and the game shouldnt be balanced around those guys anyways since the broad player base isnt that imo.

Not super competitive (0 pen is so brutal when even wood stops you) but definitely so much fun. The 'kill people who are on fire' bug is annoying though. 😒 I also tried the loadout on 6 stars but it's less fun when playing against either slugs or mosin big boys (and girls) most of the time. 🤪

I’ve been having an issue with hunt. I used to average 140-160 fps at all times but now I average 90-110 fps. Same graphical settings…. I have an 11700k and a 3070. 32 gbs of ram as-well.

In the American community it is usually referred to as MN1891 or Mosin 1891. There were many versions of it on the market and it was in production for a while but if you were to say Mosin that's what people would refer to. Doesn't work as well for Hunt since the MN pistol is a thing. But just interesting that gun lingo carries over for so long sometimes.
Pistol is just a nagant, no involvement by captain mosin, so it's still perfectly fine to just say mosin, I don't really hear people ever refer to the moist nugget as a nagant, so it kinda just works out fine in the end.
My opinion the lebel and mosin are both good weapons, and both do the same thing in the right hands. Both those wepons are "easy" if you play them enough just saying
For me my best loadout as a 4-5 star player with 1.2 kd is: Short mosin ,short hatchet romero. And then as i get traits i transition to long mosin ,fanning lemat .Or lebel quartermaster romero.I love my mosin.
I got bored of the Mosin a month after Quickplay got released, but I would never consider using the Lebel just because of that. In an actual fight, the difference is non-existent. The only big difference is the ammo pool. It is not the Mosin's stripper clip that carries the bad players you talk about, but the ability to shoot 2 long bullets at your target within 2 seconds.
Mosin is indeed boring as it feels so generic. I loved the old clunky weapons of Hunt but they are just bad compared to the "modern" weapons. I wish mosin, dolch, crown and all those newer weapons were not even in the game. Also its extra boring as long ammo meta have been the dominating meta since 1.0 on PC.

Mosin is boring for everyone who isnt permametaslaving. Its literally the best in every situation except for 10-15 metre range and even then you can get headshots and do the hunt: tradedown. Some people just like the variety that the game gives you without wanting to hear the entire server on mosin/shotgun. But at least shotguns have a range that you can kite away from, long ammo doesnt. Buff medium ammo, without special ammo it sucks complete ass, compact is honestly fine since all the compact guns have higher firerates and nerf long ammo rifle firerate by a bit so it at least has some disadvantage (IMO). Most of the time when u die to a shotgun that is because 1) u have a shotgun yourself and sucked/traded 2) you didnt respect it and let it come too close

The only counter to prenerf explosive ammo was to be behind a fence or have higher elevation. It was completely overpowered and should never return
