I loved this event compared to the previous ones. It had something old, something new. Crytek proved to me that they do know how to implement new ideas. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, but it was different and fun. They're on the right track.
I think that out of everything form this event, I enjoyed the fact the the wildfires prevented Bush campers and you had people bringing more interesting loadouts not just the regular meta. I think that Necro should keep its self-res capabilities, although upped to 6 points, but its a use it and loose it situation. You can self-res as many times as you can until you run out of health but it you do use it you have to re-buy the perk. It makes playing Solo less un-inviting to players whom otherwise wont play the game, unless they're in a team.

Great video ending off a great event! I was super happy with the challenge system overall and the amount of time it took to finish the battle pass. I think having events with game play changes is definitely preferred to the alternative with the only issue being that they're going to kind of have to add solo self res to the game now in some form. Should be interesting

Hey hornet, what revolver do you think is the most effective at range with fmj ? Since the Pax got fmj i'm considering using it instead of the caldwell conversion, but does the dammage drop of medium ammo affect it a lot ?
they are both pretty damn good overall for me personally its how i feel is what im gonna use for the day but its interesting to note that conversion has 18 reserve compared to pax 12 but pax can 2 shot more reliably since u can do lower torso and arm shot at about 40m for it to be lethal with fmj which is ridiculously good for how fast it is
I thought the event was great. Unfortunately I did not get to finish it. Only having one night a week to play didn't help. Really enjoying all the videos, Hornet. They make me want to play even more.
I really liked the progression this time around! I didn't feel a rush this time around, being able to play it somewhat casually but I did have some gripes. Of course, streamers were probably done with the entire 50K points by midday on launch, I kinda had to go for the challenges instead. I feel it resulted in some kinda stupid matches. Some of it not too bad (Killing AI with certain damage types, shooting coops etc...), that resulted in some kinda gimmicky stupid loadouts (full poison, full fire, or god forbid a mix) but the 150+ headshots I felt just detracted too much. Resulted in too many scoped players, that wanted to fight at extreme ranges. I know some people hated the wildfire map, and I know why, but it just felt so fucking cool walking through it. Kind of hope it stays around after some tweaking. All the guns feel cool, and I love the direction they took with long ammo this time around (Springfield Krag low ammo count, low damage but great handling, etc.). Overall I really liked the event, despite the somewhat frequent crashes I had this time around.

The Idea of Solo Rez and the other traits was good but not balanced I think solo Revive should be used 1 or 2 times only and not. Buff the other 2 Traits or Nerf solo reviving. Overall I think the event was good I had alot of fun playing it. Also thx for the Content u do all the Time Hornet really Apricciate it!

I've said it in Twitch Chat, but I'll compile my thoughts here because I know how much hornet likes my rambling: Inferno: Best map change I've ever played. It was beautiful, made Stillwater bearable and pissed off snipers and bush campers. My only issues were Friday 100% days (That was overkill) and lack of randomized fire. Would've been cooler if the regions of the map that were on fire were different every match. Pacts/Traits: These were really fun, but they needed live tuning after about a week and we never got that. Grounded needed a nerf and Infernal needed a buff, but instead they stayed the same for 2 months and it got annoying. Also, I refuse to play solos until Self-Rez is back. It was not OP, you're just bad at KILLING SOMEONE WHO IS ALREADY DEAD. Crytek should use events to test more traits in the future. Event Grind: I think the event duration was slightly too long, both in time and grind. I would rather it be 6wks long and take roughly 3wks to complete with a slightly faster progression. Also, make event points multiples of 5 for fuck's sake. (+5 from totems, +10 from clues, +15 from Hunters and Bosses, etc.) Skins/Cosmetics: The Centennial Trauma should've got a better skin.
My problem with the self-revive as it was in the event was that if you were a solo yourself, you couldn't go get a lamp or something to burn the body, because while you did that he revived himself. Same if you were in a duo and he killed your teammate. If you revived your teammate the solo would revive himself too. Poison bombs didn't always work because of resilience. Poison and concertina is a bit much to carry for just one guy. If you encountered another solo you're f'ed. All of this resulted in camping a body for 10 minutes. Not fun. Also, solo-ing is playing this game on hard mode. Hunt is a team based game. Why shouldn't it stay like that? Anyway, I wouldn't have too much of a problem with it staying in the game if they raise the amount of time you need to wait until you can revive yourself. Edit: Fixed a typo
Honestly in my opinion the event was one of the best in terms of this battle pass sistem I never felt pressured to play or buy any lvls event had time to take breaks whenever needed And both the gamely changes and skins were pretty good
Same man. I was reaaaally busy these last couple months so I could only play sparingly, yet I still got to level 25. I had enough bonds saved that I only had to pay $3 for a bunch of skins. That's a net positive to me!

I think the event was a huge success. It was a lot of fun playing in the inferno and the new traits were cool, even if Grounded were the best ones. I'll be glad when all the level 50 Grounded hunters from the event are dead too, if only to get them out of the ecosystem. So. Much. Fanning. So. Much. Leavering. 😂

Pax fmj is very nice. FMJ medium ammo feels like a true middle ground between compact and long.

The aim assist for hip fire is really cool, hitting with fanning at 40+ meters even through walls would be very useful
