    Going in without absolutely anything I would imagine being quite the nightmare! xD and your title is pretty accurate. You died to pretty much everything I can think of off the top of my head. That being said, it's going to happen just starting anything. Nevermind going in completely blind.
    Two tips I'll mention. One being to use your dark sight sparingly. If you can help it just go for a quick 360 to see if you pick up on any orange within the "scan." If you don't see anything in front of you as you spin then you should be good. You can break it up into 1 scan per second if done properly.
    The second tip is also focused around dark sight. But this you can do without the boost as well. When you're fighting the boss or approaching one, it's always good to keep an eye on the boss icon every so often by using your dark sight to see if there's a white or red ping around the boss icon. That'll help you at least know if you've got more than just one big AI to deal with
    Was a well made video though and I was really glad that we got to see yu win one! I was really rooting for yu on that last one and I gotta say xD you're so fuckin lucky! So much shit turned out in your favor, idk how you managed to pull that off. If you've got a horse shoe hidden somewhere or what but that was nuts! GG dude! I hope you still had some fun and you stick around. It really is a great game. Just like anything it takes practice!

      @whiskydouble  Месяц назад

      Haha I'm under no illusions of just how but of a noob I was in this video. I really appreciate the tips! I will try to improve as I know sometimes I was in the dark sight for what seemed like an eternity! Some people like to call the successful raid luck, I like to call it skill..... na I know I was lucky haha, I had a good raid where I got 5 kills (although I think I killed the same duo twice, do people get revived?) but that one didn't end very well. The successful one wasn't that exciting but I managed to make it out which was a bonus compared to previous. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! Thanks 🫡

    There is so much essential knowledge required to play Hunt that the game simply doesn’t tell you. It takes ages to learn the counters to the different AI enemies, how to read and use the map/landscape, the individual sound mechanics, and to find the weapons that suit your style. It means you end up with an active player base that is very dedicated to the game because they’ve persevered through those painful early days, learning everything.

    • @whiskydouble

      Yeah I kinda figured that when that one AI set me on fire haha, I have not played it since the video but will definitely go back to it. I think part of the joy/fun with games is the challenging early moments of them. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Thanks for this video for reminding me how exactly I played during my first few hours on Hunt! I am probably even performed worse and so clueless even with prior FPS experience, nice to have decent aim but it was still very punishing for a newcomer especially solo. Nice showcase for both lowlights and a win! I assume that you might be coming from Tarkov or Destiny as you mentioned raids so I'm pretty sure you'll do well if you invest enough time on this game. Good luck in your hunts! Always remember Hunt giveth, Hunt taketh! See you in the bayou!

    1000ish hours on PC here- I hope you found something rewarding by trying out the game, if you stick with it you will find just how deep the bayou goes. I will say that playing solo is the most punishing playstyle as it affords you the least amount of mistakes before the game is over and you have to requeue, I personally have the most fun with my trio and trying off meta playstyles that are wacky and niche.

    • @whiskydouble
      @whiskydouble  2 месяца назад

      Yeah I figured that solo was the most punishing and will probably keep trying to get better that way, last thing I want to do is get carried too much in games as I don't think you improve that way but trios or duos would be pretty cool in this too at some stage! I’ve been playing for a bit like 1500 hours I think. So the only critique I have is manage your sound better I’m surprised you snuck up on the other player but I’m guessing they were new as well. Your constant slow movement around the boss lair would have made you a very easy target. And yes this game takes a long time to even get to say an okay skill level. My recommendation is basically become the predator and just stalk and watch other players from a distance and you’ll start to correct movement mistakes pretty quickly

    • @whiskydouble
      @whiskydouble  2 месяца назад

      Really appreciate the feedback! I think, but am not sure, that the sneaking and slow play purely comes from me being used to how Tarkov works in those situations. It's how I managed to get better at that and found I was lacking the skills to play a bit faster. I will try and adapt my playstyle to this and hopefully be able to learn a bit more about the mechanics of the game to try and take advantage of them a bit better. Thanks for watching!

      Yes and no.
      Hunt is way more exigent and way less forgivable than a lot of game.
      And it has its own mechanics that need to be learned by playing and comiting mistakes.
      Even the PVE itself need first you commit fatal mistakes then you learn from it actually how to deal easely with it...
      But no one honest can say at the begining he was naturally good at Hunt because of game sens.
      It will make you better than other noobs, but you'll stil be an easy target to anybodie with lots of hours.
      It is not like Call of Duty where you basically roam everywhere and take fight when you see an ennemy.
      Hunt is far more complexe than that, come on.
      For the contrôler, maybe the impression come from à low sensitivity. I play with low sensitivity myself, and yes sometilme It indeed can look like it is a controler ;).
      For exemple when you just use wrist movement to make a turn, instead of all elbow mouvement.
      PS : forgiving*, not forgivable... pardon my french... litterally 😆 🙏😉

    Seems like a new to fps pvp games kind of problem more then anything. Lots of standing in the open and leaving your center of the screen (the place you shoot people) aimed at random walls when walking instead of targeting the corners for players etc etc. Also the beginning cut had a moment when you tried to shoot back after getting hit from long range instead of finding cover and healing. Ofc they just shoot again and killed you. They where already aiming after all. Just lots of pvp mistakes that are not game specific.
    But the video was decent. Editing and voice over good. Bit of a eventless video in some parts. I do enjoy myself some slow immersive tension. But your beginner behaviors was making it rather clear the outcome was more based on luck then anything. So not sure if the long drawn out full round video is a good fit for that. And thats it for my overly long criticism on a random video.

    • @whiskydouble
      @whiskydouble  2 месяца назад +2

      Thanks for the feedback! I'm sure I will improve in terms of general PvP the more I get used to the mechanics of the game. I'm not super new to FPS PvP but fairly new to it on PC comparatively speaking. Sometimes I was thinking more about what/where/how I was going to get somewhere and not really concentrating on the finer details like crosshair placement which, although is never perfect, is better on games I am more versed at playing.
      I totally agree about the drawn out end raid part, if I'm being truthful it was the best "complete" raid I had so far and I was eager to make an attempt at editing a video as this is the first longer form one I've done. Still appreciate the feedback and appreciate you taking the time to watch :)
