Trepanation is so wild. I think I’ve seen the same documentary if you’re referring to the film in which the English woman shows the film of her self trepanation in the 1970’s. I’ll admit that before I learned about this practice I’d imagined it as a desperate measure toward migraine relief.

Lol, I've had 2 brain surgeries and still have a hole behind my ear on my skull..I'm so glad they put me to sleep 😂😂 I guess you get used to it..if I had to watch it that would be a totally different thing.
Grady fuxed me up my first surgery..Emory was a bit better...

Me: If I needed another hole in my head, God would have put it there when I was born.
Also me (while eyeing my drill bits): How big of a hole are we talking about to get these magical powers?

They still do “Burr Holes” now, to relieve pressure on the brain. Head trauma where there is bleeding. I have taken care of 3 Patients who have had this procedure. Before I left this Nursing position in 2006.

First I had heard about it. I guess the skin is pealed back and they use a Dremel tool with a core bit, yeah kinda scary.

Head wounds always bleed a lot. I can't imagine having this done! I had a shot in my neck once, and it was so traumatic. I got sick in the parking lot afterward. Interesting topic, but I'll pass!

I looked at the doco you posted below of Trepanation 🤔. It all makes sense with the old sayings “like a hole in the head “. Interesting that they feel clarity etc. Peace, .. I’m not gonna do it 🤣but I guess it’s up to the individual. I am not as horrified as I thought I would be 🤔

Jeffery Mischlove had a really good video on this on his New Thinking Allowed channel recently where he interviewed her, i think--i absolutely know nothing about this, & he deletes some videos after a while so u have to 'view quick'--& she treppaned in san fransisco in the 60s & said it was marvelous & has something to do w/increasing blood flow to yur head like 'LSD' does! (her words.) also, in the movie, 'Scanners,' the antagonist has a treppaning scar on his head thru the whole movie & i watched an amityville doc recently where the presenter had just treppaned. weird! check out 'scanners!' . . .
