"Like gasoline you wanna pump me, and leave me when you got your fill..."
@@RastaSaiyaman hahaha yes. There was also an abundance of cherry pie in the 80's too for some reason! ha :D
I remember being in the US when "Sledgehammer" hit the #1 spot, while at the same time, "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael was banned due to its explicit contents ... Gabriel flew under the radar in the most elegant way possible ... :D
@@edgarvanoostrum8450 Sometimes when the air was clear, we could get Utah radio stations down in Arizona. They bleeped out the sex word. lol I want your ..... >.< What's even the point of playing it?!
@@becks7394 True ..! Censorship is so silly ... :D
I didn't realize how innovative this video was when it first hit MTV. This is a visual masterpiece 👏🏽
Solsbury Hill another great one.
You'll love this one Leo!
Love your reactions bro 🤣🤣🤣
One of the all-time best pop songs and music videos! Do ALL the Peter Gabriel!
I know people have issues with Wikipedia, but: "Sledgehammer" won nine MTV Video Music Awards in 1987, the most awards a single video has won. It ranked at number four on MTV's 100 Greatest Music Videos Ever Made (1999). "Sledgehammer" has also been declared MTV's number one animated video of all time.”
Awesome to see how universal this groove is. If you don't start moving when Tony's bass line kicks in, you need to be tested for a lack of soul. Some music is just undeniable. Those who can feel it will feel it. This is one of those songs.
Watch his concert Secret World. You'll be mesmerized!!!
Absolutely amazing. I agree.
It really is awesome 💛
Great concert. I had it on VHS. Wore that tape out.
omg yes! I recommend In Your Eyes from that concert.
I had the biggest crush on Peter Gabriel back in the day. He's a weird cat, very artsy, very much does his own thing. He ha been largely a "fringe" artist aside from his stint with Genesis, but this video (hell, the whole album) really put him in the eyes and ears of millions around the world in no time. I am so glad you enjoyed one of my favorite artists from that era! Oh, and I really didn't parse what he meant by "sledgehammer" until you said something. I'm a little dense :-D
You gotta watch Peter Gabriel ‘in your eyes’ video. The ‘Secret World’ live one
Thank you for starting my day off with your reaction.. laughing. Loving . Your expressions..🙏
Love you Leo! I appreciate you mixing things up and being so open minded . You keep things interesting!
R.I.P. Peter Gabriel. You definitely gave me some wonderful memories in my youth. Gabriel is a rock Icon!...
You should check out his song "Shock the Monkey."
Thumbs up for your reaction, your right we got one, one hell of a song. Great ending with a chorus of other singers joining in. Genius move Mr Peter Gabriel. Sledge Hammer Rocks
"In Your Eyes(LIVE)"
You can thank me later.
‘Be careful with this guy. He crazy. He got chickens dancing’😂😂😂🤣
You should check out Phil Collins, I Don’t Care Anymore...think you’ll love it.
Great song
Just discovered this song properly a few days ago (only remembered the dancing chickens in the music video lol) and it is without a doubt a masterpiece of a song 🤘❤.
This was THE video back in the day before computer animation. It's not the same kind of video, but check out In Your Eyes. It's his most famous song.
Oh man... Peter Gabriel! The bass tho...
This is still probably the best video ever made.
It is so creative for the time
He's a great singer. Had a number of hit songs.
I find your channel to be unique in what songs you choose to react to. It's refreshing and I enjoy seeing you rock out 🤘 keep it up and enjoy the music!
One of the biggest songs and videos of the 80’s! A top favorite of mine- yeah, I have many- 🤎🤍❤️✨
Digging In The Dirt needs to be in your future.
"You can't make a song where every single line is a euphemism for sex!"
Peter Gabriel:"Hold my beer."
I love this song. There are so many good ones out there that I have totally forgotten about. Thanks for this 😁
This is my favorite Peter Gabriel song ever!! I grew up during this time I was born in January 19 70 so I had the pleasure of being a teenager in the 80s rock into the best song living the best era. This is one of my favorite songs ever and still is.
The hairs in between Peters eyes (beginning of video) make me want to get my tweezers out😂🤣

Mr. V. You are the light in my day 😋. As crazy that you are. I love the hell out of you. 💞💞💞
Classic love this thanks
Yeah, Peter Gabriel is one of the Giants. You really can't go wrong with any of his songs.
This video was considered state of the art during its time.
Man, this is one of my all time favorite music videos! Always takes me back to when MTV played nothing but videos. This song is so easy to jam to!!!!
Lets go!!!
Peter Gabriel peaked on his album "Us," from which this song came, along w/other amazing songs like "In Your Eyes," "Red Rain," "Big Time" and "Don't Give Up" with Kate Bush. Other great songs by him include "Shock The Monkey," "Steam," "Digging In The Dirt" and the soundtrack to THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST.
hey leo! his 80s pop songs and videos are fun!! but he went on to create some real spiritual beautiful songs as well. real contrasting stuff.thanks leo for reacting to peter gabriel.peace ; )
Love love love Peter Gabriel! Creative genius!
Nah man your first interpretation is correct he is the sledgehammer as a analogy the chickens as a metaphor for his schlong. Lol. All have a double meaning pertaining to his pp. Lol. Love your videos man keep up the great work. Much love from puerto rico, used to live in the bronx nyc.
