- Graeme Boardman is one of the most mysterious but fascinating characters to come out of Manchester's underworld. A man his best friend Paul 'One Punch' Doye claims is psychotic and has a violent thirst that cannot be quenched. In this episode, Boardman and Doyle take on a whole rugby team in an epic fight in Salford.

Graham worked for/with me for a few months about 1991 at a club in Chorlton in Manchester, Shades. No doubt about it he was a character, frightened of nothing and a very scary man to get on the wrong side of. I really liked him.
We had a big kick off with some goons from a local estate one night, they got a good tanning and inevitably the old bill got involved and they wanted his (Graham) name and address, I threw a name at them that I made up off the top of my head and that name was "Joe Clinton" and I told them I had no idea where he lived and that he was just filling in (pun intended) for that weekend. I moved on from the club and the staff all signed a card when I left. Graham signed it to "The best boss I've ever had, signed Joe Clinton" which amused me no end.😁
So I'll sign off on this with RIP Joe Clinton (he would find that amusing).......Sleep well pal.
Great Post mate was graham from Manchester originally
@@enquirer2.0 He never really talked about himself or his past much mate, and I didn't pry. The less you know the less you can say is the way I always looked at things. What I do remember is his accent was not a blatant northern accent, to be honest he had what I would call a posh accent he was quite well spoken. I had the impression he had a bit of a middle/upper class upbringing but can't testify to that.
I worked the door in Manchester for best part of 20 years (late 70's-early 90's) and knew some old school legends from back in the day before the Doorsafe registry came about and the agency thing took off. Danny Ford, Lenny Howarth, Graham Lenagan, Italian Pete, Cardiff Pete, Tiny, Johnny Whin, Jimmy Howarth, Frank Heeny, Crazyhorse, Billy Heeley to name a few and there were plenty others. All named there have gone now other than one or two and they are in their 80's now.
Graham came along later on just about the time I was getting out of the game. He was like a lot of the old legends but in a new wrapper. Almost like he was born a bit later than he should have been. He wasn't everyone's cup of tea but as I said I liked him because he was a character and he didn't give a flying f**k. I was gutted when I heard what had happened to him.
I’ve heard from a couple of people that he was an expert in martial arts. Do you know what styles he trained in? Cheers
@@benj2006 Not a clue mate.
Cracking story that mate
Graeme did come from Irlam and in his youth he was what you would call a gifted natural athlete, good at all sports and I work with him over the years along with Paul and found him to be sound, just a person who would not back down, never started a fight just finished them and unfortunately I know about his demise so RIP pal, thankfully though one of people involved due to their activities along side a criminal family in the news is now in jail, also Paul's book is a good read and the only accurate account of some activities which went on in Mcr during that time, not like all the other story books, Respect to Paul and Graeme
I like the story Doyle tells about when a car full of Manchester's finest pulled up, I think, outside the Inn of Good Hope, when he and Graeme Boardman were on the door, and they intimated that they wanted the door on one of the clubs that Boardman looked after. Boardman offered them all out there and then, but none of them fancied their chances in a street fight with him. I believe it was Dessie Noonan, Paul Massey and Paul Flannery in the car. I think that speaks volumes of how handy Boardman was with his fists.
Was defo Massey and Flannery, but pretty sure it was Damien not Desi, think this was just before Doyley and Damien went at it

Graham is mentioned briefly in the excellent "Gang war" book. Pretty sure it described him as well spoken guy who pumped weights and boxed! Also has a bit about him taking out some Manchester hooligans with a hammer. Interesting character.
He was from Irlam near cadishead which is a bit out in the sticks Salford, his parents still live there apparently.
Seen him on jimmy English podcast one punch is fascinating story/character well worth a watch.
Top quality work again mate..... keep up the good work 👍
Graham would defend himself and those he loved ie his family and close friends. When i visited Irlam after a fews years after I'd moved my mate told me what had happened to him. I couldn't sleep for 3 days. Graham was anti drink and drugs so couldnt get my head around the reasons he was dead. RIP Graham
Graham got lynched as he threatened a family of a very well known person ( MENTION NO NAME) after it got presented with a gold hammer
I lived with Graham for a period of time. Me him and another guy who I won't mention above a post office near Cadishead. Yes, Graham was unpredictable but a nice guy all the same.
Mate could you drop me a message contact@enquirermedia.co.uk would like hear more
On a Wednesday at a pub called The Hollins Green they would have a DJ on and it was full of nice girls and lots of guys of course. Whilst me and others would drink beer Graham would have milk. He was never on edge or violent to anyone ever in there. Maybe coz they knew of him or he was just relaxed. Real charmer with the ladies.
Great stuff mate wud love to hear more @@tillysky1

Mate I have watched a lot of videos from a channel similar to your own, it is a Dutch channel, videos all about drugs and crime in Holland. I can't remember the name of it and have not subbed to it, but if I see it on the feed I will send you the link. If you knew the name of the Dutch guy who is suspected of doing away with Graeme you could contact them, they would probably know the story. If I see the channel I will send it to you.
i caught a piece about Graham ,, in i think Gang land or gangster of UK ,, possibly by Wensley Clarkson ,, but dont quote me , it mentioned his little half hammer , he kept up his coat arm ,
When he beat 4 Man citys top boys up together
..
Great upload again mate 💥💥
The guy that killed Graham , was possibly named Nightmare 🤐🤐
Yes spot on mate either Wensley or Graham Johnson I think

I knew Graeme he lived near me in Irlam was a top lad and a great footballer sad how his life ended
What was he like ? Honestly the most fascinating character of the book.
@@MikeSmith-go8wk I knew him when he was younger when he lived with his mum and dad tbh you’d never have guessed how he’d turn out he was a quiet lad was a fantastic footballer his dad used to run the Irlam Town football teams pub it used to be a massive wooden building nicknamed the Hut and when it was rebuilt out of bricks it was still known as the Hut .I seen him in the Inn of good hope one night he bought me and my missus a drink sat talking to him for ages and that was the last time I ever saw him a fantastic lad but what a difference when I seen him he was full of muscle and was still seemed the lad I knew as a kid you’d never have known when he was a kid what a machine he would become I’ve always got on with him and as I’ve said it’s sad how his life ended apparently he crossed the wrong people. But to me he was still the lad I knew as a kid.
Thats great info mate. Great comment. If they dont make this book into a film i dont know what deserves to. Amazing book@mufcgeoff5258
Thanks for this interesting. Very sad what happens
I'd love to talk about other stuff but I'd rather not have to watch my back in my old age! 😂👊
the real deal, terrible end for him.
Yeah, right, well done
Spain boat copped up put in sea
Rip graham they've nicked the guy responsible big up Paul d both were a firm not to cross👊
Also, I was told Graham was from Irlam. There’s a fella going by that name running an MMA gym somewhere round there. I got the impression that Morrissey would set his underlings up when he didn’t want to pay the Yugoslavs or wanted to pocket the gear by telling the Yugo’s that his underling had stolen the shipment or the money, allowing him to either kill them or let the Yugo’s kill them, getting him off the hook.
Interesting. Tried find out his background but came up with nick.. Can't find anything about his family
Doyle said it was for a load of wiz that got robbed
thought was wilhelm dutch firm
@@anthonyheathcote1932 nah the boss is Johnny Morrissey he’s been putting people to bed in Europe since the 80s. His son says he’s had Mi5 protection since then because he helped them get hold of the IRA who bombed Manchester (helped by the QSG) and he was allowed to operate as long as he didn’t kill anyone in England. That’s why he’s been so brazen for decades and has only been disowned by Mi5 and arrested since the Americans got involved. He’s the one who loves torturing people.

there is not a lot of info out there about boardman. i done some digging myself trying to find out more about boardman. he disappeared in spain in sep 1997. i think he was lured there. he was then killed.
The only crime bosses from Holland I can think of are Goldmember or Mr Van Kleefe from To Hull And Back. Not sure if that helps ?
I know who it is but can't say it cus not been charged with it

Strange you can't find his name as a player etc, most clubs (of any sport) usually have lists on past players, members down to junior level.
Lol yes mate I know. Interesting someone just posted he lived with him for a bit
Hit the bloody like button people. You are getting this for free.
Just wanted to say keep up the good work... don't fall for Ray's game wants a reaction for views will apologise then ask you to do a podcast.Half the people he talks about he has never met all his info from facebook & friends and other people's content.👊
Cheers mate 👊
I don't think Ray means anything by his comment,I saw it as him expressing his own opinion. I,like many people enjoy different styles of content presentation, Shaun,Yammy,Ray,Dodge,Enquirer,CSTCR and others ,I get different things from each as to the different delivery. So all is good for me and keep it all coming from whatever angle you come at it from.
@swimdeep189 I'm not bothered by it mate we have two completely different channels and ways of delivering content I don't do youtube beefs. Ironically enough I did live in the same life as Ray for three decades different eras and spent a considerable amount of time behind the door but I got out and didn't look bck and went legit. Unfortunately for Ray he had personal issues and ended up on ipp a terribly unfair punishment for prisoners which should be removed from past prisoners in my opinion.
Wasn't G a relative of that female TV star in the 90's? Or am I thinking of another Boardman 🤔
Not sure he's an interesting character well spoken not sure where from played for coventry second team or youth when younger apparently
One dangerous man he was mate but yeah i heard he had a terrible death did"nt he fall out with massey and his firm over some door wars

Curious to know which rugby club it was?
Probably one of the many amateur clubs in the area
It was Salfords first team I've got the book it's a very good read
Probably Salford..the willows was literally 2 minutes away from the Inn of good hope
Or De La Salle, literally a few hundred yards down Lancaster road from the Inn of Good Hope.
Terrible end,but what and interesting character, it takes underhand tactics to take down someone powerful
Was it a Rugby League team or union!!!
Good point lol
Was his murder to do with JM
Allegedly

it was deeper than that
I've heard of Stan Boardman, but not Graham. I wasn't a fan.

Thankyou mate top man
Old bang bang ray is just jealous because you have never done anything about him when he thinks he's the hardest man in London and he could beat all the real hard men you do videos on but he got sparked by John bindon when he was dying with aids so that's how hard he is so blank him and keep doing proper videos about proper hard men not wannabes 😂
