@@idowuayobami9612 because there were players at that Arsenal team that needed to leave before Arteta's project could really get started. Unai Emery signed flops like Pepe, Torreira and Guendouzi and it set the club back.
      1) Ten Hag replaced Cristiano Ronaldo with Wout Weghorst
      2) Instead of keeping DE Gea, he unnecessarily signed Onana when we should've signed a Center Back
      3) He wasted big money on signing Antony and then favoured him over Sancho, which obviously backfired
      4) He keeps playing Rashford and Antony even when they're not playing well. It's no longer based on merit.
      5) He never takes accountability and would rather blame others before blaming himself.

ETH has his faults, but when you have almost 3 quarters of your players injured at 1 point or another, you can’t do much. Not to mention he also inherited some players that got Mourhino, Van Gaal & ole fired. His biggest problem is clearly his emotional signings, like Antony.
Otherwise he deserves another season with players healthy, and new signings to replace the underperforming players. They can fire him but they will be putting immense pressure on themselves too, because there aren’t many better & proven managers than ETH in the market.
And even if there are, how many of them would are willing to take on this job that has recently proven to be a career killer for most. I say keep him 4 at least next season, but don’t hand him the final say on new signings because he’s clearly been a hit & miss on those with signings like Antony, Malacias, Amrabat, Eriksen, Casemiro, etc.

0:43 That's all you need to say - The players have let him down, and several of them have let other managers down who then faced the sack. This time round it needs to be the other way round. Players need to be sold who do not put effort in, then if Ten Hag isn't working, he's had a fair shot with good players move him on, but not now, not before the players go first. Starting with Rashford, seen enough to warrant him leaving and it's a statement piece as well to the other players no one is safe.

Not making millions if whether they play or not. Stop signing mercenaries. Stop signing players with bad attitudes. Every manager will fail with this structure.

His biggest mistake is not buying the leading number 9. Who can score 30 goals a season with Bruno as the number 10. This would gave him some time to find the Number 8 who can scorers and assist with the current team.
They missing the two key players. The number 9 and 8.
They have the backup players for those poistions but not the first choice team players.

And let fix all the other issue before we even think about managers .. ETH just needs help build his vision like he had with Ajax in Van der Sar and Marc Overmars ..

How do you expect a manager to perform miracles with the number of injuries we've had. Who do you replace Erick Ten Hag with. The guy needs time, what happens if we bring in a new manager and things don't work out. Like we have to come to terms with reality, because we have new ownership it does not guarantee success. Football does not work that way, Brighton is well structured club but the team has struggled this season because of injuries. Ajax are horrendous at the moment after Ten Hag left.
We've had Van Gaal and Mourinho. They both failed but they are brilliant managers. British Media don't actually want Man United to succeed. This proves how much Man United traumatized many people when we were successful.

  • @tomscott4438

The team clearly are not playing for him. That's on the players, and I think the lot should be moved on, but that's not happening. The results haven't been there, and the performances are inconsistent. Injuries have played a part, but every manager deals with that, and ten Hag has not adapted to what he's had available. The players HE brought in (Anthony, Garnacho, Casemiro) have been a bust, and Sancho is out on loan and staring for a club in the CL Final. Sorry, but that's all on him. Not a fan of "dump the manager" but I don't see how he stays on.

If you think about it , Ole is still to blame for a lot of Uniteds problems. The backbone of our team : Rashford, Varane, Maguire, Mctominay, Martial, Sancho ,Dalot and Lindelof. These were all players that were either brought in by Ole to be leaders or young players in crucial phases of development. Ole was supposed to guide these players and instill them with professionalism and a desire to be winners. Instead, he created a culture of laziness and unwillingness to take responsibility. A bunch of cowards who wouldn't flinch to throw a manager under the bus.

Erik should be given more time under the new structure imo. The off field issues and lack of structure he’s had to deal with over the last 2 years is more than what some managers would face in multiple jobs. I’m not saying Erik is perfect, but I don’t see a better alternative out there either. Tuchel? No thanks. Potter? Southgate?… Seriously!? This would be a huge mistake for INEOS.
These players have shown in the past they’re lazy and will throw a manager under the bus when it suits them. I’d much prefer to see most of the squad sold before a change of manager. We need players with a positive mentality, unlike most of the overpaid divas we currently have. If the manager keeps being changed every 2 years the club will never move forward. Patience is needed.

The reality is the same issues have plagued every manager we have had, its time to understand that sacking the manager doesnt work. back him, clear house, get rid of the bad apples and petulance in the dressing room once and for all. People can blame Ten Hag, apparently Mourinho was no good, Van Gaal, Ole, Moyes, how many more, who do we turn to next, Potter? How long would Potter last? The same things would happen, we need to get rid of a core of spoiled players, Sancho, Rash, Shaw, Martial, to name but a few for whom when the going gets tough, they clique together and undermine. The work rate and effort the willingness to do anything they don't understand or want to do, isnt there, weve seen it time and time again nobody can fix this squad without clearing the decks. I dont believe for one second Ten Hag is a bad manager, I believe the club is rotten in the dressing room and for once the manager needs to be backed and the rot stopped, a message sent to all incoming and remaining players that there will be zero tolerance for attitudes and petulance going forward, if we sack yet another manager it sends the opposite message that once again, the laziness and weakness won. Those players have had their chances, clean house, im sick and tired of making excuses for players who wont run, wont fight, wont play, id keep Bruno and the younger ones, Martinez, even Casemiro who I dont blame for the lack of anything around him to work with, but overall, just get rid of the trash.
