Interchanges are a pain for me, but somehow, at in the end, you nail all of them, what patience you have ! ( you can see the rage in the erratic mouse movements though 🤣)
I think this is 10x speed. So it took a really long time.
I am glad I'm not the only one struggling with tunnel entrances lookiing even close to decent. For me, I just put boulders all around it.
This guy is actually the only person who actually knows how to build good looking cities in 5b1c
🖖
It's unfair to compare any other cities skylines player to imperatur lol, the other builders are all amazing too when compared to anyone else.
the tunnel part at 16:30 reminds me of the one from gta
Why build highways when there is zero traffic? 😉
Pretty epic!! I'm glad you pushed through all the difficulties thrown in your way!
Thanks for sticking with it despite the frustrations!
This game seems is not going to be fixed soon enough. That's why many youtubers returned to CS1 or other games.
A nail on the head, the tunnel system is the most frustrating thing in this game next to the 2000 cabs always transporting just a single passenger. Its true, i checked them all😅
Hey Imperatur big fan just try to stop spamming rly when u talk in english otherwise i got no complains :)
i love how half your commenting during gameplay is just shitting these massive dumps on the devs lmao
That looked painful but the end result is so clean. It looks great! Too bad they didn't just add better road tools to CS1 instead of making a whole new (inferior) game!
You can do all of this and more in CS1 with tmpe, node controller and intersection marking tool. Throw in precision engineering and the mod with the sloping, paralell tool, node joining, etc (forgot the name) and you can probably do it easier as well.
@@wfb.subtraktor311 I've used TMPE. I haven't played CS2 but the consensus among CS RUclipsrs is that the base road tools are better in CS2. That also looks to be the case the way that already built roads will adjust to create a better slope or angle. So the point of my comment was that they should have just improved the base road tools in CS1 since it's better than CS2 in pretty much every other way. That way we would have the best of both worlds.
@@westside213 The road tools in CS2 are not better, they are just more adaptive which is bad in a grid-based game. The new road tools are really only an improvement over modded CS1 when dealing with highways, amd evem the it is mostly due to the improved convenience and not because of increased potential.
TMPE is the least relevant of the mods I listed, it is only necessary to make cars drive along the correct lanes, not to make the roads look good.
@@wfb.subtraktor311 you're being pedantic. I was quite clear that I was talking about the base unmodded road tools. I have over 1,000 hours on CS1. I use every major mod including NC and IMT. (I suppose you think you know better than the best RUclips builders, but I'm gonna go with them over a random commenter especially because I agree based on the CS2 gameplay I've seen!)
@@wfb.subtraktor311 I'll clarify further, since I'm expecting another pedantic response... I was talking about the fact that the slope and angles as well as intersection markings adjusting automatically make it easier to achieve a beautiful looking road without spending extra minutes fine tuning every detail (which is very important because the minutes add up quickly when you're trying to achieve a lot of realistic, beautiful roads). That's what I was saying they should have improved in CS1 rather than building a completely new game. It doesn't matter if you technically can spend a bunch of time with mods getting what could be done automatically with better base road tools. If they automatically work better and faster and still allow fine tuning and customization, they are indeed much better! I don't think we're going to get that because they moved the mods off of Steam Workshop so I don't think CS2 mods will ever match CS1 mods and CS2 seems to be inferior in every other way, but hypothetically we could have had it! (Thanks for making me write a novel over what was meant to be a simple complimentary comment!)
"are you trying to copy me" - Said the Alexander Hamilton Interchange.
I was thinking of that intersection too, except I know the roads there save for the Harlem River Drive and Cross Bronx Expressway are twice as wide!
@@edwardmiessner6502at least it isn’t the gw bottle neck
I recently had the inspiration to make a interstate system similar to I-70 through the Colorado Rockies… the tunnel mechanic pissed me off so much….
I felt that tunnel build! Holy crap I felt it 😭 I recently just finished doing something similar, a Highway interchange by a cliff, and the tunnels were so fucking broken 😭😭
I can't tell if you've inspired me to try something similar or scared me from attempting it :)
Your experience with tunnels mirrors my own. I tried to find resolution in several forums, all responses were along the lines of "oh, you just build the road into the hill...", but my experience was so much like yours.
And so was my reaction... What WERE they thinking? My suspicion is they only tested tunnels with more-vertical slopes, not gradual ones like you and I dealt with.
Thanks for the emotional release! I'm not alone in my hatred for tunnel construction!
Really nice, making me want to start a new map and go creative.
@16:08 can you see the happy face?
16:48 STOP TRYING PLEASE
wow... inspirational
Incredible work. Would have liked to have see more overhead shots to get the whole concept, but it still looks great.
CS1 players: tunnels look awful in this game.
Colossal Oder: I think we can work on that... 🤦🤦
The music is what helped me endure watching that tunnel debacle.
Was just watching a build of yours in which you used a highway tunnel under the runway - very epic really ,, saw that you used pedestrian path to cut off terrain
Lmao it was frustrating watching the tunnel just not build properly, they need to add some tabs so it’s specified weather your building a tunnel or a wall next to your road
I feel you with the tunnels. I wanted to make a simple pedestrian underpass with pedestrian street in my city and I ended up leaving the game for months xD
reminds me of lung cheung road in Hong Kong (also built on the cliffs and got several interchanges) :)
Game mechanics so bad that it made even the great Imperatur cuss out. XD XD XD
Build, delete, build, delete, repeat one millions times 😉
Dang, that tunnel! Apparently the game won't let you first set down the first portal, then the underground highway, and then the other portal, which is easy as pie in CS1.
What an epic build! Even with all the challenges, you make an incredible highway system. Well done!
gute Arbeit .Hast du Kontakt zu den Entwickler wie der Stand ist wann Es endlich Mal auf Konsole kommt .bekomme keine Antwort von den
I'm getting anxious just watching it!!!
Building I-70 in this game is impossible
Epic❤
Nice. The drive from Genova west to France is definately worthy of a car commercial. Bridges, curves, tunnels, seaside and mountains. Glad you incorporated that into this build.
When you build skyscrapers in this series 🤔
This is an absolutely crazy build 🤯🙈
Maybe the order for a good game was too colossal? 😁
Wow I never expected to see my city as inspiration for Imperatur, thank you ahahaha
da ist so wenig verkehr, da hätte auch eine kreuzung gereicht :D
I feel the rage in u watching this difficult built lol 😂
super neues Bild schaut echt gut aus
Ultra nice!
Was sind das für Texturen?
omg cs2 is piece of crap, i even cannot watch till end of video. im physically felt that misery and torment which you got there..
If this is too hard to watch then try to watch someone building roads in vanilla CS 1 lol
@@Skibidy_rizzler_ on the money. CS2 is so much better at roads than CS1.
@@joshgellock Which is why the road building tools shouldn't be so finicky. It causes people to swear off the game for good and others not to buy it!
@@edwardmiessner6502 I'm not sure where you're getting that intel. Many people I've talked to find the road and rail building tools in CS2 head and shoulders above CS1.
@@Skibidy_rizzler_oh nonono, please, just no vanilla!
Great job man!!!
imperatureee the bridge has a 2 way road idk if it was a mistake or u ment to
It was probably intensional, he used it most likely because he liked the way it looked.
sadly we cant change the roads/lanes on the bridges.
should be a feature, at least for same size roads.
He changed it
Porque los puentes que deberían ser de un sentido son de doble sentido? 24:32
