Hi Mary Anne, I went back to work part-time for the summer. The pay rate is what I made in the late 90. The stress in the new job is how management demands we get the customers to open a store credit card. So much so that one manager becomes hostile and that energy affects me. I was reintroduced to Saint
Benedict and listen to his prayer every day. Peace and prosperity to all.

Yes indeed, we all need to cool down and relax and breathe and to listen deeply into the energies that are constricting us and causing us to be anxious and afraid.
Every day we can count the blessings that exist now as we are now regardless of the circumstances surrounding us.
Simple pleasures and basic requirements for our lives and our comfort.
The beauty of being alive, a glass of fresh water to drink, the blessings of a nice friend, and other things that are happening that are causing gratitude and appreciation in life.
Focusing on what we love and what is beneficial for our wholeness and our health care. Living with love for each precious moment of being alive. Being in touch with nature and the environment and calmness and harmoniously thriving in a relationship with the miraculous newness of each moment.
Yes, movement through dance, yoga, meditation, creativity and wiggling and giggling are all great 👍 👌 ❤
Maryann, you are a wise person and a wealth of knowledge and wisdom.
Epsom Salts in a tub of hot water to soak and relax in removes toxins from our bodies and gives us Magnesium thtough our skin. Don't rinse the skin after the soak.
The 🎵 🎶 🎵 "Get out and get under the moon " It was recorded in 1928 and recorded by many different people since then. It is a delightful treat for me to get in tune 🎉
Leon Redbone did a nice version ❤
Singing and playing music and listening to music 🎶 is a process of being present and restored by the ability to connect with the flow of energies in the various vibrational frequencies that are available to be used for relaxation and entertainment.
Have fun and laughter is always good for us all, gentle mirth, and quiet bliss and joyous celebration and jubilation all deserve exploration and experience with abandoned delightful exuberance and with delight and wonderment ❤

Resonated deeply with me re balancing chakras energetically, walking out the door to hear the morning song birds, taking a walk, hugging a tree and living in gratitude. I largely know what to do in response to stressors but the key (as you so wisely lift for us) is to become aware first of the stress, worry I am holding. I can't visualize color for chakra clearing but I do meditate and exercise.

All good suggestions for stress management. I do yoga and have for over 25 years. I was telling a doctor that my exercise consists of yoga 3 times a week , she interrupts and says yoga is not exercise. I say i exercise my mind body and spirit - want to listen to my lungs? I slowly opened each section of my lungs one at a time with an 8 count while she listened with her stethoscope. Then I asked, would you like to take my blood pressure and observe it go down by 10 points with yoga breaths?

"We all seek out stress. We hate the wrong kinds of stress but when it's the right kind, we love it - we pay good money to be stressed by a scary movie, a roller coaster ride, a challenging puzzle.
As long as experiencing your optimal level of good stress doesn't damage others, it's hard to objectively define where normal enjoyment of stimulation becomes adrenaline junkiehood. We’ve evolved to be smart enough to make ourselves sick.
Stress is not a state of mind... it's measurable and dangerous, and humans can't seem to find their off-switch. Essentially, we humans live well enough and long enough, and are smart enough, to generate all sorts of stressful events purely in our heads.
One last bit of bad news. We’ve been focusing on the stress-related consequences of activating the cardiovascular system too often. What about turning it off at the end of each psychological stressor? As noted earlier, your heart slows down as a result of activation of the vagus nerve by the parasympathetic nervous system.
Back to the autonomic nervous system never letting you put your foot on the gas and brake at the same time-by definition, if you are turning on the sympathetic nervous system all the time, you’re chronically shutting off the parasympathetic.
And this makes it harder to slow things down, even during those rare moments when you’re not feeling stressed about something. How can you diagnose a vagus nerve that’s not doing its part to calm down the cardiovascular system at the end of a stressor?
A clinician could put someone through a stressor, say, run the person on a treadmill, and then monitor the speed of recovery afterward. It turns out that there is a subtler but easier way of detecting a problem.
Whenever you inhale, you turn on the sympathetic nervous system slightly, minutely speeding up your heart. And when you exhale, the parasympathetic half turns on, activating your vagus nerve in order to slow things down (this is why many forms of meditation are built around extended exhalations). Therefore, the length of time between heartbeats tends to be shorter when you’re inhaling than exhaling.
But what if chronic stress has blunted the ability of your parasympathetic nervous system to kick the vagus nerve into action? When you exhale, your heart won’t slow down, won’t increase the time intervals between beats. Cardiologists use sensitive monitors to measure inter-beat intervals.
Large amounts of variability (that is to say, short inter-beat intervals during inhalation, long during exhalation) mean you have strong parasympathetic tone counteracting your sympathetic tone, a good thing.
Minimal variability means a parasympathetic component that has trouble putting its foot on the brake. This is the marker of someone who not only turns on the cardiovascular stress-response too often but, by now, has trouble turning it off.”
