Love this car, One of the mid 20 something girls at work bought 1980 Granada after she and her p.o.s. ex husband separated this past Spring, it's a Dark Green 4 door that has a 250 Inline Six and Automatic Trans, It's nothing special but know it is? a reliable car that's easy to work on that is completely paid for. She paid $800 for the car, spent another $800 on brakes, tires and a complete fluid change, Since then we detailed the interior and rattle can rebuilt the engine and suspension with all new gaskets, bearings and bushing, repainted the original steel wheels and put a set of Baby Moon Hubcaps that I had in one of my parts bins, all done by another guy at work for zero labor. Over the week of Christmas I'm going to let her drive my spare car and were going to pull it into my shop and fix the little dings and dents in the body and respray it with 3/4 of a gallon of green paint that I bought a couple years ago for another project, it's not an EXACT match but it's close enough that I don't have to gap it. She's probally put $1800 into it total, She buys the part/supplies and he and I do it just to help her out. over the past 8-9 months she saved ALOT of money to get her up on her feet, and that's why we do it, This Spring were going to talk her into start taking it to Cars and Coffee's just to get her and her 2 kids out and about and around car people.
I am surprised at how sun baked the interior is, the chrome doesnt show any damage from the sun. Cant wait to see this buffed/waxed, and the interior shampooed. This is a keeper imho
