Anna's actually got a legitimate use. She joins like 2 chapters after Gaius and has way better bases, if you're deploying a lockpicker to do nothing but that she does a better job due to better stats if you screw up and put her in range and can heal if need be. Vaike should go up, his bulk is fine with his high base HP and his damage is good as long as you get his speed up. Promoting at 10 lets him go Hero for a huge skill and speed boost and Sol. Axes are also pretty damn good in this game. Libra should be higher, great staffer out of the box, good availability, and base magic that makes him a great option for using rescue which is completely broken and infinitely buyable. Reclass him to Sage for even more magic and rescue range. Robin should be in God tier no question, they're probably still the most disgustingly broken unit in the series. Perfect availability and snowballing with vereran alone would put them there but add in their great growths, tomes at base, and huge class pool and they're just insane. This tier list feels more like it was designed for the postgame/Apotheosis rather than the maingame. Most of the child units as broken as they are when optimized join late and underlevelled. The kids (with exceptions of early joiners like Lucina, Owain, and Laurent) are only really good with grinding... but literally everyone is good with grinding and by the time you get the kids you probably have a bunch of perfectly fine trained gen 1 units that can get you through the whole game. Donnel in particular is god awful without grinding and is even bad for Apotheosis due to his awful cap modifiers, particularly in speed. Frederick's earlygame performance cannot be replicated, not even by Robin. He only falls off if you flat out ignore him but even then he can still hold out for a while.
Fire Emblem Awakening, the game about how blood means nothing compared to the bonds we forge ourselves...and using eugenics to engineer an army of supersoldiers. Also, I object to the Frederick placement. It's literally impossible on anything higher than hard mode to beat the game without Frederick.

I played Lunatic up until the Lucina chapter where I decided that even if I won I’d never survive without DLC grinding Fredrick is a MUST, you can abuse some EXP farming to actually make Robin clean up early-game decently but you need that carry in Fredrick to make it fool-proof
Theres one small error you made in your video during the Chrom section you said the best pairings for Chrom is "Olivia, Sumia or Cordelia" Cordelia cant support with Chrom other than that good video
I disagree with Laurent's positioning. I think he's one of the best child units because he's one of the few units in the game who can run the broken vengeance/vantage/gamble/wrath/limitbreaker ruin sorcerer build. With anathema/solidarity support, this build can easily reach 90+ crit and oneshots every unit in apotheosis that doesn't have aegis.
Just saw this tier list. As someone who beat this game in Lunatic + classic mode without any guides/help (never again, omg that destroyed my soul), the only correction is Fredrick should be moved to Top Tier. Im going off memory of my play through like 8 years ago but in early Lunatic +, he is your only unit that is able to do anything since he is pre-promoted, and his stats/growths dont suck. Basically you have to use him to carefully tank (or herd) enemies that your other units like Robin and Chrom can pick off so they can start getting EXP. No other unit can go up 1v1 (even paired) against an enemy for the first few missions and he has to be around to baby sit everyone else while you try to get Robin and Chrom up to a point where they dont instantly melt against a random enemy. In Lunatic +, I feel like the game actually got easier as time goes on because you can start engaging in game breaking skill combos. Only the final mission is hard (by Lunatic + standards) due to the infinite respawns. Otherwise a solid list. I might move Tharja up a little, but still upper mid, not top and really at that point its almost personal preference. I remember her being the "parent unit" not named Robin who hung around my A squad the longest.
I think you said something incorrect,Tiki does pass down the Manakete class to Morgan. So does Nowi and Nah. The same is true for Panne and Yarne with tagel.
I think the only gripes is Laurent ranked really low and Nah put up as one of the best children (she is probably one of the more inferior ones which is why out of all the children she benefits from the avatar the most out of all of the other children as his child). Laurent whilst not having Galeforce can be really effective with the VV sorcerer build you just have to give him a father with Myrmidom preferably Gregor and your pretty much set for him. something else to add is this list is definitely more suited for apotheosis as if you were playing LTC runs half of the kids wouldn't get a use because of various reasons like a mother not amazing to stick with to have them married, the paralogue is a nightmare or they join too late that ruins their usefulness
i agree with a lot of your placements but i have a few things i just think your wrong about first miriel should atleast be as high if not higher than ricken just beceuse she can use nosferatsu robin should also be in god tier they can solo the game easely and you can even give fem robin galeforce and last but not least olivia should be god tier just beceuse dance is just really good there are more thing i would change but they probebly have more to do with my playstyle like i would put say'ri and tiki a litle higher prepromotes can be realy usefull in iron man runs
And watching this vid again 2 years later, id like to comment how Galeforce, while yes probably the best skill in the game, is a little overrated. Going to great lengths to get every unit in your army GF can make for a huge slog of a game since it means lots of resources and time spent grinding up to lv 15 Dark Flier. In a casual playthrough, its really not worth it to have more than a handful of units go for it to pass it down.
he really isn't, Donnel has pretty bad stat caps possibly the worst amongst the gen 1 units, aptitude while good for grinding has no other use besides that and the rest of the skills he can learn are by the numbers and not really notable for apotheosis, in a classic run it's not likely worth the investment to use him. the only really good thing is that he can pass down aptitude to his child to make grinding a bit quicker and can give a female child the peg knight class tree that can learn galeforce for Noire and Kjelle, since Noire demands Gaius mcuh more Kjelle will do just fine with donnel, a bit weaker then the stuff that Gaius could give her but as no one else would want donnel so to balance it out have donnel pair up with sully
The most broken character of the game is Female Morgan as 3rd gen , when Male Robin marries Lucina : - Morgan inherits the best abilities from Robin whose THE BEST PARENT - Morgan also inherits the best abilities from LUCINA , WHOSE THE BEST CHILD AND COMES OFF FROM CHROME - She will have access to most classes of the game having those two as parents - Morgan by default have the highest stats and highest overall rating over any awakening character , so giving Morgan Lucina as mother you go beyond ! - The reason why only female Morgan can be 3rd gen is because the only child unit Robin can marry is Lucina , locking it down to only female - The only unit of the game that can have THESE TWO SKILLS AT ONCE (Aether and Ignis)

If you don't see the Value Anna brings to your Army the second she joins idk what to tell ya and Basillio and Flavia can solo Lunatic plus 0 percent growths. I feel like you do yourself a disservice by not elaborating on your points. Vaike is squishy at base? But he has the highest base HP of any character until Chapter 8, when Vaike joins in chapter 2. This is just factually wrong, and it makes it hard to follow or agree with your analysis.
You aren't wrong, Vaike's HP is stellar, and his strength can make him a deadly foe. However, his defense is pretty medicore, his resistance is dogshit, and even though his speed is alright, its still low enough to leave him vulnerable to doubling from swordmasters, who he already has a natural disadvantage over because he's an axe user. He certainly has his strengths, and is far from a bad unit, at least in my experience, but that high HP doesn't mean all that much when it's being held back by his defense. That said, really agree that he could've elaborated better on his points, though I think that's just me preferring videos like this to have some more meat on their bones. Also there are points where he is.. literally wrong. Like when he suggests making Chrom the father of Laurent or Severa.... two units who Chrom literally can not father.

The closest matchups, Sully and Stahl, lead by 2 and 3 Def respectively, however Sully lags a massive 9 HP and Stahl 7. For Sully's 2 Def lead to give her an advantage, you have to enter 5 straight combats without healing. Stahl has to enter 3 straight combats without healing. So at a base level, he is objectively speaking, bulkier than everyone else unless you take a massive number of combats (something not even possible on the harder modes). Remember, this is the early game in awakening. Base Sully gets 3 shot by the c2 barbs on hard. Base Sully gets oneshot by them on lunatic. Growths wise, Vaike's defensive growths are roughly the same as Stahls. Stahl's HP growth is 95% and his def growth is 60%. Vaike's HP growth is 105% and his def growth is 50%. That means that over the course of 10 levels, Vaike grows an extra point of HP and Stahl an extra point of def, making Stahl 4 Def ahead and 8 HP behind. Is that much def bulkier than that much HP in a vacuum? Sure. You can even argue that despite Vaike's fantastic promotion, that Stahl is still bulkier thanks to how broken cav promos are. But Vaike gets the Sol skill at level 5 Hero, making him dramatically bulkier, especially as the game goes on and on. Furthermore, Vaike and Stahl share a speed growth and base of 6 and 50%, however Vaike's speed promo to hero is +5 whereas Stahls Paladin promo is only +2. This puts Vaike in the position where he can reasonably take more Def weighted pairups to be even bulkier than Stahl and still double. Res wise, Stahl only leads a measly 5%. Sully leads 15%. Chrom leads 15%. Gregor leads 5%. These are all units who people are willing to say are relatively bulky and none of them are going to have a great Res stat, but that's OK because of the amount of Res boosting in the game, from strong falcon knight pairups, Maribelle having rally res at level 5 troubadour, Res tonics, talismans and the ward staff and pure waters. Put simply, Vaike is your bulkiest unit for the early game and remains that way vs high damage targets. Towards the mid game, a couple of high Def units like Stahl briefly look better vs low damage enemies, but Vaike quickly retakes the lead once he promotes and gets Sol.
tbf there are a lot of tier lists based around the main campaign so if it was more clear to be more focused on dlc it would be fine. most of it is pretty accurate save a few issues like nah being a bit too high or laurent put that far down
