People dogging Poch for taking so long to use the tactics from pre-season. Facts are that certain players needed to develop before those tactics would work in the EPL, especially with Nkunku out. Now Mudryk and Madueke are ready to handle their responsibilities on the flanks and Cole has proven he could take over Nkunku's withdrawn position. Poch has a new team and a young team and he is patiently making them better and better.

Absolutely. I made the same comment on BlueLions TV by Nini that Enzo does not suit our style. He is a world class player don't get me wrong but suited for La Liga or Serie A. The team plays well without him.
@@blueheaven4838 Mate don't speak too soon, Enzos been playing on a major injury, literally taking injections before the game to get through them. He's committed a lot to play for us when he's been needed, and now he's having his surgery we've fortunately found a way that he's not needed. If he can fully recover he may be able to fit in very well, or perhaps you're correct, but we can't bin him off that quickly
Would like to see us utilise this tactic of inverting Cucu when Enzo is back fit. It will lessen the defensive burden on him with Cucu and Caicedo holding.

Definitely keep both Ben and Reece. With Silva leaving, not much experience left in that dressing room. Reece, Chalobah and Ben are the only players left who’ve experienced success at the club by being part of the CL winning side. And Ben’s been good when he played(not a lot admittedly) and only had one bad game this season(Liverpool away).
And totally agree about Jackson. Yes, he had a couple of misses here and there, but only 4 strikers in the EPL have scored more goals than him this season + 4 assists is not a bad return for his first season in EPL.

West ham were awful today and Chelsea were very good.Madueke & mudryk are starting to understand there roles with and without the ball,
Caicedio and gallagher look a more natural fit together in the middle and were also cutting out basic mistakes at the back.

I will make two blatantly obvious points. The first is that the racism of the media is amazing. Last Chelsea game, Palmer missed an open goal with no player or goalie in sight and this game Gallagher missed an open goal with no player or goalie in sight with the and not one negative word was said about them by the commentators. But when a black player has a goal attempt saved by a goalie or makes even a difficult attempt at goal from the edge of the box, the commentators talk about how they should have scored or should have done better, driving fans into negative hysteria against the black players across social media and mocking videos. It's disgusting. When a white player is one on one with the goalie the goalie makes a save, they say the goalie made a great save, as they did with Palmer in that same game against Tottenham, but if it's a black player they say he should have scored and magnify it, digging at him as a failure and then the pundits too go on about it. As for this game, I've been saying since the beginning of the season that Madueke should be playing on the wing as he is obviously an all round better winger than Palmer because he is good not just offensively, but defensively while Palmer cannot not be bothered to do defensive responsibilities. resulting in over 10 goals against Chelsea in 4 or 5 games. With Palmer away from the wings and Madueke there instead in the last two games, Chelsea have produced 2 clean sheets. What we have also seen is that Caicedo looks a better player when Gallagher is next to him doing his part defensively and martialing Mudryk to not forget his defensive responsibilities, and we see a wall of resistance suddenly appearing in front of the Chelsea back line while the backs also get support with no Palmer on the wing as a defensive liability. What is concerning is that these decisions have been forced on Pochettino by injuries and so when the players are not injured he will return to the failed unpredictable system with Palmer on the wing and Madueke on the bench to run from the real question he must ask himself which is which three players midfield should he play out of Caicedo, Enzo, Gallagher and Palmer. The fact is, he has believed that in midfield if Enzo his fellow country man is fit, he must play, Gallagher and all his running too must play and Caicedo with all the defensive help he gives Enzo, Pochettino's countryman must play, so he has to find a place for Palmer and puts him on the wing where he is a defensive liability. Sure Palmer gets goals from their, but he also a defensive liability there that turns the team into an unpredictable defensive wreck making Chelsea lose and draw games they should win. In short, the Chelsea manager must decide if he wants Chelsea to be a mid table team that ensures a lot of goals from Palmer, but concedes too many because of his defensive inadequacy, or a team that is strong defensive and wins games they have been drawing and losing by ensuring Madueke is played on the right wing, not Palmer. A player knowing when and how to attack and when and how to defend and incorporate that into their is a necessary skill and quality to be an effective and good team player, it is not enough to just know to attack, but Palmer has been getting away with that all season, with other players being blamed by the media for the results of his defensive liability when things go wrong, while praising him for being there for goals he manages because he ignores defensive responsibilities as expected of an attacking player in a pub team or in teams long ago, not a professional and certainly not an attacking player in a team that wants to compete in the top 4. This is why Man City did not play him and then sold him. If when injured players return, Pochettino continues to choose Palmer goals over a winning Chelsea team without Palmer on the wings and so with Palmer possibly on the bench because he prefers to keep the defensive success of Gallagher side by side with Caicedo and so Enzo ahead of them, instead of Palmer, then so be it. That is clearly Chelsea's offensively and defensively most effective team and top 4 team and it looks very close to their pre-season team that looked so promising before all the big changes to fit Palmer in. These are decisions Pochettino has failed and struggled to make, refusing to bench his country man and in fear that putting Palmer who the media are obsessed with on the bench would have the media calling for his head, but has only now made because he has had little choice due to injuries. A modern successful team focuses on the bigger picture, not one player as Pochettino has been forced by the media to do. Peace and love

This is a silly question. It took this long because Enzo was fit and the situation hadnt arisen for the idea to come up to play Cucurella inverted. Nobody has been saying that Poch had to invert Cucu all season. Its not something that was this glaringly obvious thing everyone was begging for. It's weird to flip this decision around to be a criticism of Pochettino asking why its taken him that long to play him that way.
It's not at all weird many of us had questioned if Nzo was making a difference in the position he plays. There were many comments by users requesting for NZO to be rested for a few games especially after his return from the qualifiers. Had Poch done that he would have surely come up with this solution sooner.
We haven't lost a game with Enzo absent. He is the one who slows our game down. He is overated and overpriced. He is not a necessary player for our team.
