I’ve lived around Ham Hill my whole life. I am lucky enough to know the ranger team personally and work with them as a volunteer.

I very much appreciate your walk of Ham Hill, Abbie. I grow up very close and as a local who now lives abroad, it's a nice video to regularly watch when one gets home sick. Furthermore, it's a very informative video and I've learnt some more about the place I call home. Thanks for the RUclips content.

We visited Ham Hill today and watched your video to learn more about what we had seen (or just missed!)
This video has plenty of information that is well presented with natural enthusiasm. You've just gained another subscriber

I was rambling through Montacute when I noticed an isolated pub on the OS Map. Decided to hike up to the Prince of Wales for breakfast. It was a great decision. What a beautiful view! I wish I had seen your video beforehand. It would have the made the walk in the area even richer. Love the information packed in these videos. Keep up the good work.
You have a unique and important piece of pedestrian/hiking history right in your backyard. I took a 30-mile hiking detour from my planned route just to visit Thomas Coryate's shoes in the church in Odcombe. The church was locked but it was still a treat to be in the beloved home of the "Odcombian leg-stretcher." He wrote of his "love of Odcombe in Somersetshire, which is so deare unto me that I preferre the very smoke thereof before the fire of all other places under the Sunne." Quite an endorsement from someone who had seen more of the world than almost any other living person at the time.

Another wonderful video. From the number of videos produced, England has a great trail system and public reserves. Thanks for your efforts to share your experiences with the RUclips community.

Thanks for posting Abbie. It’s nice to have such places close to home. My small town has a city park with a small lake, foot paths and mountain bike trials, lots of geese and ducks. squirrels and deer from time to time. It’s a peaceful place. Looks like you have a nice spot there too.

You should have a hike around avishays through Lydmarsh into Chaffcombe. Fantastic views there!

I'm only a half hour drive from Ham Hill. Abbie, have you've ever come across the hippies living in the woods up there? They have amazing shelters, compostable toilet, workshop's etc. They have an orchard and you can buy Apple Juice from them. I'm trying to think exactly where they are but I've only walked a small part of Ham Hill so couldn't tell you exactly where they are

Abbie's walks are a million times more engaging than any of those presented by Julia Bradbury.

13:10 Sorry to be lazy but what were enclosure acts? 15:36 Henry the VIII was a menace wasn't he? Once saw the remains of a nice old cathedral in Scotland. At the time I thought they were weathered ruins but thanks to you I've learned they were really just pulled down by that jerk.
