The thing that angered me the most was definitely Dawn and Ed. I don't normally get invested in a show or have strong negative feelings for characters, but this show was really well written and It made me really hate them. I was absolutely disgusted at how a man was tort*red, embarassed and k*lled because Dawn wasn't finding her life fulfilling; she wanted the feeling of people falling in love with her/her words but was careless about other people's feelings when it really came down to it. Her own desire for some sort of relief after her husband walked out because he found out she'd been catfishing...she impulsively messaged d*adly words, she knowingly drove a poor woman over the edge. However, no matter how messed up Dawn was, you could tell that she never wanted to hurt Nick and Kai, at least not physically, but Ed and his impulsiveness, most likely driven by anger, caused him to take away someone's life. He was unapologetic and I hate how he kept blaming Dawn for his own actions, saying how he had to do it because of her game, but she didn't want to harm them, she wasn't the one holding the hammer, nor was she the one that held and shot the gun... Man was as much a lunatic as his wife. At first you may see how Dawn and Ed have drifted apart and have different interests, but you can also see how similar they can be, they are both monsters under their kind and unassuming exterior, both callous and impulsive; Dawn with her words, which is really different to her IRL persona, and Ed with his actions, who was introduced as a plain old man who probably couldn't hurt a fly. The writers did a really good job at showing how people can be lovely in one part of their lives and be absolute monsters in another part. Much like how people can be very different online and IRL. The main theme of the show carries through multiple facets of the show and this is just one of them.

Nick didn't deserve literally any of this, he was a devoted father and husband, and he helped Terra after her nudes were sent. He also knew his wife had purposefully cheated on him for 3 months but didnt get a divorce (as seen in episode 1, how they act like a happy family and he defends his wife from Pia's insults.) And the next minute, he's going to work and suddenly all this happens.
The number of times I changed suspects in my head is unbelievable.... This series is full of twists... From the wife, wife’s boyfriend, Nick’s friend, Emma, even one of his kids, sheesh 🙌🏻
I think the lady in the series had severe depression, and many other mental disorders, causing her to lose control of herself like some serial killers do.
I like how as the series goes on the main characters seem disheveled and exhausted, like they haven’t gotten much sleep since Nick died. It’s realistic.
that ending was so unexpected omg. i always figured that nick never did any of the stuff they said he did; the way he defended his wife was what convinced me.
Between this and Squid Game, that's two old folks who messed up other people's lives just so they can feel young again. Also, Sophie must be some kind of karma Houdini.
@@bigcatdiary08 No it didn’t. Since Dawn was doing this before the cheating even happened. That girl would’ve still taken her own life due to Dawns manipulation, whether Sophie cheated or not. So, that was an extra spanner in the works but wouldn’t have changed the course of history
One bored old woman on the internet could lead to families being torn apart, suicide, death and kidnapping! CHRIST! RIP to Nick! This series may not be as good as it’s described but the premise is a fucking roller coaster. I don’t think I’m most likely not gonna watch the series tho, it sounds way better in this recap video.
I honestly did believe that nick was a bad person from the start because of his little tantrum, but after watching all 3 parts I now realize on how good of a man he was and how bad of a marriage they had. Then Dawn had to be an idiot and drag everyone down with her.

@@kingkuzo3559 I say what happens in that case. Ive been cheated twice and plenty of my friends have been as well in their relationships and the ''excuses'' for cheating when the cheater was confronted in all cases were those.
@@IAmMyself3504 Well, I have this to say. Cheater is a cheater, No one should feel bad about getting cheated on becase at the end of it, it is the cheater who did the did instead of mustering the courage to come forth about the problems in a relationship.
Bro that was hella depressing, but like all the dumb moves each and everyone of them made was so annoying. They all tried to investigate into this matter by themselves, knowing how dangerous it was. Specially the kids just running to random strangers house

Poor dude. After suffering getting beaten, misunderstood and humiliated, he got killed then the cycle repeated for the public to assume and conspire against him and his family. Fortunately, they didn't give up on his case and had a happy ending :')
THERE WERE SOOO MANY CHARACTERS that I thought killed Nick, we all thought it was Sophie at first.. then we thought it was his sister, then the cat, and then Simon, and then we found out it was Dawn and Ed, this was crazy; it’s always those characters that no one talks about but you only see them once!
Just finished watching all part 3! Such a thrilling full of suspicion ride lol. Can't believe I completed the whole series, such a time saver channel this is 🙌
Not really. It's like saying watching reality show set in Australia is the best way to experience Australia without wasting your time flying over. Its a completely different experience
Qell, this is like a video questionnaire. So what did u learn? Never go to the killer with all the information without the police and witnesses. Now, everybody else will know what to do now
it makes sense though it was shown throughout the series that he is a violent and confrontational person. so it fits his character that he would do something that stupid which got him killed.
So why exactly did the cheating wife get a pass? I'd never just forgive her and move on 'as a family'. Pretty unfair she's not held accountable in any sense at all but unfortunately pretty realistic nowadays if you think about it.
Because cheating is not murder, and her husband was fucking murdered. Cheating happens and clearly good people can still do bad things. And people we think are innocent are capable of doing bad things. What matters is she ended the affair, and chose to forgive herself because she knows Nick and her kids forgive her, and that is what matters.

I really thought it was Matt. I’m so frustrated that Nick went to her house and not the police first 🤦♀️ Nico was 100% innocent.
Why are you censoring kill
@@maddawg5016 It's not a very friendly word
@@maddawg5016 Maybe
@@maddawg5016 RUclips's comment filtering is really sensitive and it won't let you post some comments if they have certain words in them. Mainly violent and s*xual ones. 😀
@@DeepPocketsEnergy ooh I see peaple say the f word why aren’t they getting banned? And why do the censor everything in yt that’s what kids yt is for,
I wouldn't have put in the time to watch this whole series as-is, so I am really glad this channel exists to give me the rundown so I don't have to :D
And that’s why Hollywood hates them lmao
Lol, I was tempted to starting to watch the series...but when I saw an episode was over 40mins... I was like..... MMeeeeeeeeeeh! Mystery Recapped will do the job 😁😀 lol
Q
saves me so much fucking time for series without subtitles, since i can't watch voiced series in x2 speed other wise i can't understand what they are saying but i read way faster than i can listen
That was some chaos. Completely intense story line- This is the first series I've seen you do. Lol.
How many plot twists do you want?
The Director - Yes!
GrayStillPlays reference!
The number of times I changed suspects in my head is unbelievable.... This series is full of twists... From the wife, wife’s boyfriend, Nick’s friend, Emma, even one of his kids, sheesh 🙌🏻
I even suspected pia too
Same. But not forgetting nick himself
The lesson for this Don't share too much information about your life to other person that you don't know personally.
Wow, I actually teared up at this summary. The part where Sophie puts his photos back up really hit me.
That was a ride! I really enjoy the twists & turns in a story that cleverly keep me guessing, proving my assumptions wrong, etc.
literally the plot twists were mindblowing....everytime i thought they must be the killer was found innocent😅
Righttt. At one point, I got so frustrated!
I thought it was Matt but he still did something bad
@@Tempevo Yes, me too!!!!
Remember in this type of series the criminal is always an innocent and most egnorent person
Yeah there was so many plot twists
Never commit suicide like Simon's sister just because of a internet lover, even on a physical existed lover you have more to offer something
well, ive met a girl who had ONS with a guy in the internet, she was only traumatized and called him ex bf
@@ezioauditore5616 wtf 😐
I think the lady in the series had severe depression, and many other mental disorders, causing her to lose control of herself like some serial killers do.
@@greenlemonboy9762 It was mentioned she had already been suffering from depression before talking to “Jeremy”
Facts ma boi
I like how as the series goes on the main characters seem disheveled and exhausted, like they haven’t gotten much sleep since Nick died. It’s realistic.
that ending was so unexpected omg. i always figured that nick never did any of the stuff they said he did; the way he defended his wife was what convinced me.
Man this is so perfect. whoever created this deserves more respect
Between this and Squid Game, that's two old folks who messed up other people's lives just so they can feel young again.
Also, Sophie must be some kind of karma Houdini.
True but this felt way more depressing, just based off of nick alone.
You'll never know who the real culprit is until the end LMAO. I actually thought that it was the wife all along🤣
well, they kept introducing new characters
ngl she was like 2nd on my list
At a few points , I suspected his own son, Ethan!! What was I thinking??
@@bigcatdiary08 No it didn’t. Since Dawn was doing this before the cheating even happened. That girl would’ve still taken her own life due to Dawns manipulation, whether Sophie cheated or not. So, that was an extra spanner in the works but wouldn’t have changed the course of history
@@morticiagomez6558 at one point that came to mind, but then i thought "wtf no way"
One bored old woman on the internet could lead to families being torn apart, suicide, death and kidnapping!
This was actually a great story. A great summary and an great narration as well.
Moral of the Series: Don't kill a guy otherwise an entire community will come look for the victim like a Pokemon.
Lol 😂🤣
Do you know what's weird? After hearing you narrate the mini-series, you made me want to watch it. And I actually did! Like I know all the spoilers and all, but it actually interests me more. Is there anyone like me? But thanks to you! It actually saves my time. I spent more time searching for movies/series than watching them on Netflix.
Same here..
I like spoilers too
This series is full of surprises and twists.. love it..
Wow. I did not expect this ending. Thanks for this epic recap!
I just really like how Sophie put his picture back up because “that was still the man she knew and loved“ but was still out there cheating on him 🤣
Copy🤦♀️
The entire plot of this movie is amazing, the abuse and back bitting Nick has gone through must be so painful.
Loving these breakdowns of short series. This one in particular was riveting. Also mad props to the narrator. He has great vocals and delivery of the story.
How has every one forgotten that Sophie literally had an affair
Yes but she already told nick about it and broke it off with the guy she cheating with
Because when a woman cheats its a mans fault (''not giving attention'', ''not making her feel important'' and other bullshit) and when a mans cheats its the mans fault.
@@IAmMyself3504 are you saying that’s what happened or your opinion because that’s is a whole load of bull
This is the best movie so far that has so many twist in it! It feels like I'm investigating the case too. Creating theories and suspectings, this movie is great and thought me a lesson about social media. The movie was like a rollercoaster
So upsetting.....Nick deserved better 😔
Rip Nick he was just a honest man who loved his wife and two children. I fell sad for Nick
Both the kids don’t even look like him another mystery
Just finished watching all part 3! Such a thrilling full of suspicion ride lol. Can't believe I completed the whole series, such a time saver channel this is 🙌
I have never been so excited for another episode!
Wow. This story had so many twist and turns. Absolutely incredible. Happy to have watched a series this good in just 45 minutes.
This is the best way to watch a series without wasting your time
Not really. It's like saying watching reality show set in Australia is the best way to experience Australia without wasting your time flying over. Its a completely different experience
@@willbaker6532 True, I watched this series on Netflix and it was an awesome experience. Came here to get an recap
Tbh we can't blame Simon, he was awfully hurt by Jeremy (or Dawn) He obviously loves and cares about her sister ALOT
We can. He committed a crime.
Edit : And he also sent Nick to his death.
@@ThatOneDude7 I’m just saying I feel bad for Simon
This series mystery was quite complicated! Great explanation of this great story. 👍
This is the wildest, mile-a-minute mystery I’ve ever heard of.
This has to be the most overwhelming show I've never seen lol. Every plot was literally twisted to the point I couldn't even grasp
i could have never sat down nd watched the complete series so this is GOLDEN for me! please keep doing series also!
THAT WAS A TWIST! I would never have thought about that!
i burst out screaming when dawn's husband hit him with the hammer 😭
The way that all the clues amd hints tie together… that is good writing
I'm happy the comments emphasize the wife cheating and having to undergo no consequences for it as unfair. I agree
What consequences would she exactly get? She was severely shamed for it.
You want her to go to jail or what?
Nick wouldn’t have died if he go straight to the police , instead he goes to Dawn’s house 🤦🏻♂️
Films logic
Qell, this is like a video questionnaire. So what did u learn? Never go to the killer with all the information without the police and witnesses.
Now, everybody else will know what to do now
it makes sense though it was shown throughout the series that he is a violent and confrontational person. so it fits his character that he would do something that stupid which got him killed.
This series is quality. I was hooked from part 1. Thank you for sharing
That was a nice story.. thank you for introducing it to us and the recap, of course. :)
Dawn's plead is hilarious but one line she said made me cry - “I wanted to be like someone, someone like Nick”
I just finished part 2, thanks for uploading now. Saves me from being curious! 😅
same
lucky you! i was waiting from 18 hrs.. finally!!
So why exactly did the cheating wife get a pass? I'd never just forgive her and move on 'as a family'. Pretty unfair she's not held accountable in any sense at all but unfortunately pretty realistic nowadays if you think about it.
She got fired from her job
@@animestargalaxy1016 That's nothing, she legit made someone commit suicide, which led to another person getting killed
@@tk11rj Who did she make commit suicide? I watched the whole show and I don’t remember that happening
@@animestargalaxy1016 wait wait wait wait wait, I fully got confused with someone else lmao im so sorry 😂
THIS WAS NICE its was very unexpected this is much better than probably watching the whole movie ( i am guessing its much longer since it was cut down to 3videos)
I like that it turned out that Allison wasn't cat fishing
Holy cow!! That's was a twist. Been busy the last few days but glad I binged the series. I was at the edge of my seat!!
Ok I knew that the dating profiles were not Nick’s,but damn Dawn I never saw her being the villain
I think you're my favorite recap channel. Your voice overs are excellent.
it's pretty cool seeing a movie recap longer than like, 20 minutes
Such a poor and innocent soul Nick! RIP Nick. This is a very underrated series.
