What an irresponsible parent, like what? Not to mention she was a cop, like come on I know he was ur kid but seriously? The dad was great tho, he had some issues but overall he cared for his daughter and looked for her non-stop
That's what we called insanity 😎
I'm pretty sure there was a case about a marshal covering up for son kids car's accident with a fatality too in Italy.
have you read “everything i never told you”? think this was inspired by it
You had me in the first half.
If you see both sides. You notice that the parent will do everything they can to protect their child. Which is something very common in the world. Even though her son was guilty. Her actions of trying to cover everything up would work most of the time. Except Margots dad on never giving up basically had him figure it out and justice served in the end.
I feel bad for Randy guy who said he tortured and killed Margo.
yeah ikr
He was probably trying to live his life normally after jail only to be fake a confession and be killed.
Seriously, I get covering for your son but murdering that dude seemed like an entire other level. But I guess she was desperate at that point.
@@ashamak7083 When people get desperate emotions can trump logic. And, right or wrong, it's not hard to see that someone wouldn't have a hard time protecting their son at the expense of an ex-convict.
Poor Randy
May he Rest In Peace
No but seriously poor guy
I feel so bad for that old man who had to sit there at gun point and take his own life… it’s sad asf.
One of my favorite scenes. From what I remember years later. After they found out the detective was covering for her son, they were driving away from the cliff she was at, saying she’s likely dead anyways because it’s already been days and she would have dehydrated by now. The dad thinks. Saying that’s wrong. It was raining in one scene so she would have had water. Everyone in the car looks at each other and the car turns around in a hurry. They reach where she’s at and she’s alive.
Yeah, i didnt know the detective is covering for her son and she know what happen, i got shocked by it
I still can't believe how she survived days without food and water on the cliff alone and injured🤕 🤷♂️
@@HUNTERHUNTER806 She did have water supply cuz of the recent thunder storm.
Oh yeah and she is the lady who was talking to Margot kim
Yeah I remember too! The dad says, "no, it was raining on monday" which is the 1st or 2nd day of the search. The scene left such a strong impression on me that it's still stuck in my memory
the fact that this whole movie is shown through a computer makes it 100 times better.
Different computers, tvs and mobile phones
Basically all screen recordings
They also showed macOS, Windows and Linux
This movie is proof that you don't need a giant studio corporation to make a great and extremely profitable movie! Definitely one of the best sub million dollar budget movies ever made.
This movie was really good! It had an interesting plot, characters were realistic and had good twists and I’m glad it got a happy ending.

There’s an entire alien subplot to this film happening in the background and I just think that it’s amazing how well they managed to include it
How??
@@dustingutierrez2401 if you watch the movie, sometimes when the father is scrolling through websites on the internet, you can see articles and headlines of some sort of alien invasion or something like that. I remember seeing videos once I was done with the movie but you can look it it up cause it's interesting how they just planted those headlines throughout the movie, lol

@@dustingutierrez2401 it's like actual articles and headlines. I think the producers have confirmed they included these easter eggs on purpose along with some other ones
I've watched this when I was in high school and yes... it was so sad! A mother figure is so important (both actually) and what Pam did saving her daughter's friends' numbers and recipes is the same as what my mom did.. and I always thought that she was too overprotective of me :"
The father was a genius! He should be a detective. One of the most clever characters in movies
I stumbled upon this movie on Netflix when I had nothing to watch and was just wandering there and then decided to watch it.... But literally it turned out to be one of the best movies I've watched in a long time. Such good direction, story, characters everything feels so real and connected you will feel like this is more of an actual found footage rather than being fiction. Loved it!

I really like movies like these. This movie format is rare and even rarer to find movies that actually utilize this format well, but this is one of those movies that pulls it off perfectly. For me, it makes the entire film seem much more realistic and I felt so much more immersed in it. Also great recap!
Damn so Vick got a poor ex con in trouble for her son's attempted murder.
She murdered him!
In trouble? She killed him LMAO
It's accidental, not attempted.
Also what trouble? She killed hin lol.

I really liked this movie, it's super unique and I've never seen anything like it, at least not in this style. You can even see in the background of several scenes multiple tabs and windows open that relate to whatever he was looking up at the time, makes it feel so real.
Margot's very lucky to have a great Dad.
I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t expect the ending. Was super dope. Will definitely remember this film especially the intense scene where their like “she would have only had to go without water for two days. It rained on Monday” and then the cars all turn around LIKE it was a big jaw dropper
The amount of dedication her father did just to find her is just amazing.
I was so happy that she survived in the end...
It's important to note that it had been 5 days since she went missing, but one of the days, it was pouring rain and thus provided water for Margot to survive.
5:34 Wow you had me after 5 minutes that I instantly got hooked and paused the video b/c I’m a sucker for mysteries movies that I immediately went to search the movie, found it, and now going to watch it, thanks Moviecaps 😀👍

The screen writing and directing is absolute genius. it is a must watch
A dad who knows to expertly navigate social media is pretty rare
i watched this a while ago, i ve got to say, best thriller mystery ive seen, it actually kept me up at night and it was so emotional and also really cleverly written at the same time. it was delivered in such a unique matter that it added more suspense to the story
I love how this film is done in such a non conventional way, instead of the usual couple hundred dollar cameras it's shown through laptop cameras and cctv cameras. Such a creative and refreshing new way of filming.
“Kinda like my boi Harold” I love this channel because he’ll explain the story in full detail, but will slide funny moments in 💀
The only thing worse for parents than losing a child is having a child go missing
It'd be literally hell on earth for them
Uncle-nephew? You mean niece
This needs an Oscar tbh. It's beautifully written.
Honestly, this movie should've won Best Editing instead of Bohemian Rhapsody that came out in the same year as Searching
This is an amazing movie, the first time i saw it it blew me away. The presentation through 100% "found footage" camera, like the internet sites and surveillance and smartphone camera shots are well made and damn convinzing, and as 90s kid i can relate to that really good. And the story in the end took some twists which i didnt expect. defenitely worth a watch this one
The father just couldnt accept the fact his Daughter was missing and or dead... thanks to that fate she was found, rescued and saved to live on!
you cut out alot of the ending :( i watched this like years ago and i remember them not looking for the body anymore at the cliff cuz she wouldve died of hunger, then the dad remembers a raining night that might've kept her alive and he goes back and finds her. thats what i kinda remember, the ending was really nice
This shows how our parents care about us so much.

I won't lie. I enjoyed this one each and every very second. I was relieved knowing she was okay.
Yooo, his detective skills were on point! I'd consider doing half that stuff, he went all out though!
I felt pity for the ex-convict, he got dragged into the problem and got shot
He was such a great and loving dad. Determined to find his daughter. 🙌💪🥰
This is a great video it just stuck out to me u kept calling the niece a nephew lol
that touched my soul. i don’t even have a kid or a dead parent but i wanna cry after watching this.
This one of the best Missing Mystery movies I have ever seen
and the movie is very creative too. Instead of finding, footprints or fingerprints, the movie makes it as a detective mystery to be a modern themed kind of like
And also I love how you explain it so good!
Any loving father would do the same for his daughter. Some would even go way beyond than what the father did in this movie.
This is a 10/10 movie, worth watching in full instead
