I always welcome them aboard. I appreciate what they do. They keep over fishing in check. Well they don’t have to worry about me catching over limit.LOL. Good job Joe!!
Softly busted, saved by the moses number. I was recently stopped by a Hancock County Sheriff for long (years) expired inspection. He said get an appointment this week to get back in compliance. Fine would have been 135. We have good people out there doing a tough job.
So as a kid growing up in Maine , we never needed two different licenses for fresh and salt. As a surf caster , they’re saying now we do need a salt permit ?
I didn't quite understand it, He said our fresh licences covered us so I took it as one,. But there was something about a $2 salt license , maybe thats if you dont have the fresh?
He probably was checking the hatch to make sure it was safe, knowing he was going to be standing on it to depart, overall it appeared like a decent boarding. He wasn’t intimidating at all, I have been boarded in other New England states and didn’t get that behavior. The only problem I have is the license fees, we all pay way too much in taxes as it is.
Use to fish when we had a place at fosters point but these guys took the fun out of it looking for the money. It got to where it was just yes or no in my conversation. See how he pulled that last door open.
How so? This officer was very respectful and professional in my opinion. We had everything required and he was on his way. I have the upmost respect for fish and wildlife law enforcement. They are there to protect our resources and our safety! Without them the future generations wouldn’t have the resources to enjoy like we have!
Sadly, not every "sportsman" has reasonable ethics. I grew up on the New Hampshire coast and have fished that area for decades. Unfortunately, I frequently see abuses of our resources. People taking what they please and stealing other fisherman's property. And it's nothing new. My grandfather grew up in northern Maine in Island Falls and I had the opportunity to fish the Allagash area as a boy in the 70's. Even then we would run across people on the remote logging roads with peach baskets full of trout. If you are a true sportsman, you would appreciate those who are trying to maintain a healthy stock for us and our kids. Especially those who were as polite and professional as this guy. The worlds not all about you.
The waters in and around where these guys are fishing can be unforgiving. They check to make sure you have the basics required by law to be on the water safely so you can at least take care of yourself until you can be rescued. Even then, this water *might be 65f if you're lucky. This guy was 100% professional and could've cited them but didn't. We're lucky to have these guys on the water looking out, honestly.
In and out 😊 straight to the point. Told you what to have handy and the information you needed with no cocky bs. Happy fishing ❤
For sure thanks
Very respectful. I find it kind of nice when they check you that they give you all the information that you asked.
We thought so too
dont think they can open anything without consent in Maine
ps without reasonable cause
I see them all the time in the bay but have never been stopped! They seem nice, long as your boat isn’t full of beer cans and fish whistles!
Good call.
This is how it always should be. Just like buddies and doing the job we signed up for. No Bully BS .
Agreed, Went awesome!

Thank you agreed
Good dude gives us Maine people a positive look
Thank you
Was checked myself here in Iowa. First time for me in 20 years. this guy that boarded you was very professional.
He was great
Saltwater registry, anything for a dollar. Miss the old days!!
Twin 400 mercs!
Good to see law enforcement on the waters, to many criminals stealing underwater traps and their catches. Be legal and stay safe 👍🏻
Yeah just be legal and no worries for the most part if they not too picky
It was actually a great encounter! It wasn’t actually my migratory stamp he was looking at!..lol
I should have cleared that up, It was your license with the stamp on it. You were the only one really prepared!

Totally agree we are super lucky in Maine
LL Bean boots too!
I thought that was cool and a wise choice.
He has no idea the camera is there......
Joe keeps looking at it, praying it's running....... 😂😅.
👊🏼👍🏼🤙🏼
Haha no I think he was pretty observant but maybe he missed it idk ?

@@JoeHollandFishing right I was always under the impression your fresh water license covers both
@@damienrichards9358 same
buy your rec salt from MA it will cover you for MA, RI, CT, NH, and ME.
Interesting thanks
What brand is that split handle rod your using Joe?
That one is the diawa blackfish
what's with opening coolers? Opened a lid when departing without asking, not cool in my book.
Looking for fish. Warden’s can search for game without consent in Maine. Yes seems unconstitutional
I think he was looking for fish

Ole migratory bird CJ
He was the only one prepared between us three! You and I were Moses.

Oh I didn't realize it was bad. He was very professional with us.
Hi
first
Once again the sportsman takes it up the wazoo. What a joke.
what happened?

What video did you watch? Did you have pornhub open in another browser tab?

He was looking to bust you guys. He is not a friend!
I think only if we were doing something wrong. He could have probably cited us for not having our licenses handy, even though we have purchased them.
