I miss these graphics and character appearances than the over the top production that goes into current games. I'm so happy to have grown up in the early 2000s.
Exactly...the graphics are amazing in the new games but that's about it. All the side characters in the PS4 remake are bland and lack personality...and seeing all the crazy and hilarious characters you meet throughout your journey in this game really emphasises that

Playing through the remake version now. It's fun and good looking, but not giving the same nostalgic feeling as watching the true game. Totally different vibe
It's a totally different game, I'd argue it's more of a reboot and less of an actual remake. Wish they would've just updated the game with newer graphics and remixed music, as the original was already perfect as is. Instead they went in a completely different direction to line up with their movie (which ended up flopping anyway so it was just a waste)

this game beats many current triple AAA games, the enthusiasm, the desire and dedication are noticeable, a pity that few developers make games like this...
Still remembered the Asshole Ratchet was in the first game all because his favorite hero betrayed him I am glad Mikey Kelly didn't reprise his role in the 2nd game

I know that people have nostalgia goggles, but this original Ratchet and Clank makes me appreciate what Rift Apart did that much more. It feels weird playing this game knowing the control scheme of Rift Apart.
In fairness, this game suffers a lot from the lack of strafing. The second game feels a lot more robust. I know what you mean about changing control schemes though. By the PS3 games, the way you aimed and controlled the camera had improved, and being able to use R1 instead of circle to shoot was an improvement too (then Rift Apart switched it to R2 for the half press thing which I never really mastered).
@@TheMoonRover I actually like the R2 scheme. For somebody with an Xbox controller, I think it makes perfect sense. R2 is an analog button that can potentially adjust weapon power buy how hard or lightly you press.
