Playing through the remake version now. It's fun and good looking, but not giving the same nostalgic feeling as watching the true game. Totally different vibe
It's a totally different game, I'd argue it's more of a reboot and less of an actual remake. Wish they would've just updated the game with newer graphics and remixed music, as the original was already perfect as is. Instead they went in a completely different direction to line up with their movie (which ended up flopping anyway so it was just a waste)

It would be cool to try this game even if it has aged, I remember playing some of the newer ones and I liked hem a ton! It would be cool to play this one!
You should definitely try the older ones. They’re such classics. You can find copies in shops like The Exchange or by looking for it online. The first 4 games are amazing. I think you’d really like it
¨their harder too, if you havent already, in older if you dont know what to do you're usually stucck, you have to go to select pause menu to see where too go, in new ones 2016 they mention and show text on where to go without pause, its way easiser.
No, most of the games I've played had no problems with that. It's only really an issue if the games use licenced music, and sometimes that's avoidable anyway (for instance by not changing the radio station in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time).
Man, I am loving this! Thanks for publishing it! Could you make a tutorial on how to play Ratchet & Clank with the emulator? Also, could you show where to get the games? Also the second and third R&C. I would appreciate it a lot, and I bet I would not be the only one.
pcsx2.net/ for PS2 or rpcs3.net/ for PS3. Follow the setup guides on those sites. I won't provide links for game *ISO* files or the required PS2 BIOS file (you're supposed to get them yourself, downloading is technically piracy) but they're not too difficult to find online. RPCS3 settings will vary with PC specs, but the descriptions should be pretty clear. PCSX2: as a general rule, set speedhacks to balanced with MTVU on. Safe settings are usually pointless. Aggressive settings might prevent slowdowns on weaker PCs, but demanding games like Ratchet & Clank will just stutter instead. Some games will require specific tweaks to fix graphics glitches - if in doubt check the PCSX2 wiki page for that game.
Considering the number of close calls ya got into in Blackwater City, I don’t understand why ya never went with the situations where the Ameboids fought the Fumigators. There were plenty of situations that gave a big opening to do so, but you decided to play hard and not play smart. Like, seriously… It’s almost like you flat out refused to allow the two factions to engage.
Come on now , when the PS2 came out this was everybody's first game 🔥👌🏻 (Well at least my generation I was bout 5 years old, think it was a bundle too)
this game was/is still the hardest in the franchise IMO, dosent pause when you quick select weapons, you cant strafe, and you have way less HP than in the subsequent ones.
i5-4690 CPU, GTX 1050Ti GPU, 8GB RAM, with the game installed on a 2.5" SSD. A little outdated by this point, but the limiting factor for PS3 emulation is definitely the CPU. 4 cores isn't really enough. I've had mixed results. This game was mostly fine, with a couple of big slowdowns, but for the second game there were more places like that, so I gave up and switched back to the PS2 version. The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon ran better than the real console. Sly 4 was completely unplayable. R&C Tools of Destruction was borderline at 30fps - I might try it again soon.
@@4444-f5s PCSX2 never goes above 50% CPU usage for me - any issues you see in those videos are with the emulator itself. I haven't used Dolphin, but it should perform at least as well for GameCube games. Not sure about Wii, but it was a less powerful console than the PS3.
@@TheMoonRover For me, the problem with speed is not just slow motion. When playing, it is a maximum of 80% speed (usually it is a maximum of about 65%), but during a scene where a ship is flying to another planet, it is over 200% speed and the game is then over 2x faster.
@@4444-f5s For the high speed issue, it sounds like you might have the framelimiter off (F4 to toggle) or maybe it's in turbo mode (Tab to toggle). As for the slowdowns, what do you have speedhacks set to? Balanced is probably the best preset for demanding games like Ratchet & Clank (lower settings just waste resources, more aggressive settings might get you a higher speed but the game will just stutter instead). And make sure MTVU is on - that's the big one.
This was my first playthrough, so I might not have realised I could do that. Even if I did, I may have ignored them because I'm aware it's going to be a long video and don't want to spend too long doing things like that which aren't strictly necessary.
@@TheMoonRover First playthrough, seriously? And you knew every time exactly where to look for gold bolts and you never check the map? Or was this heavily edited?
@@SkazkiPeredSnom This wasn't that heavily edited compared to some of my other videos, but I would only have recorded 1 level at a time (maybe 2), then looked at a guide for the next level, including gold bolt locations. It's possible I edited out checking the map - I don't remember.
Comparing two entirely different games. The scope of GTA San Andreas is on a scale that was pushing the limits of the hardware at the time compared to this game, so some aspects of it had to be sacrificed as a result. Don't forget, the San Andreas world is huge for the time and it's the first GTA to not have loading screens.
