Was quite a challenge to fit walls, a Castle, 5 Farms, a Barracks, and 4 Houses all on the same map. But somehow it works!

Well done mate. I hope we get to see real life maps like Italy, Australia or something wacky like that.
There was allegedly a similar event in the Principality of Transylvania, where two brothers who hated each other, inherited a castle together, so they barricaded themselves in the two parts of it, and fought against each other for years. Most stories identify this on the very castle the Magyars have as a wonder in this game.
In the original AoE2 my brother and I would almost only play regicide against each other. Such a fun mode when you get creative.

There is a mod called "Ultra Small Map Pack" you can download in game. I made these maps but I need to the mod creator to add them to the mod, they should hopefully be included soon.
Lame. Might have been okay if topped out at castle age. These 15 minute games just don't do it for me. Maybe show 3 or 4 back to back? Also, maybe lower elo?
Out of 32 shots against Capoch's deployed trebuchets, not a single one connected. The probability of this happening, even when assuming 15% hit chance*, is less than 0,6%. Either MBL got the anti-Dream luck, or he encountered a bug which might have cost him the game.
*While trebuchets have a "hit" chance of 15% against units, "missed" projectiles can still connect against anything that gets in the way, including the targeted unit. Since trebs are exceptionally large for a unit, this makes the actual hit rate much higher than 15% in practice.
It wasn't randomness, they always missed in the same spot too. It was definitely a bug
Didn't seem to be spraying all over the place as you'd expect either. Seemed to hit the exact same wrong spots every time.

MBL's trebs were definitely bugged. They didn't land a single shot the entire game, and they always missed in the exact same direction

T90, I just want to say I absolutely love this format. The strategies for these tiny maps are so exciting and the match length makes these games very easy to watch. I'd happily pitch $50 towards a prize pool for a tiny maps tournament.

Since Tiny Maps came out, I have been hoping for a professional Tiny Map tournament hosted by T90
That boar had a HUGE impact on this game. I think it might have been a decider.
i don't see how you can counter stronger byz castles and faster imp (ie trebs) on a map this small anyhow

@@chegayvara1136 take out the theoreticals and look at the game itself. When byz was clicking up boehemians were behind by basically a boar's worth of food IIRC. Considering it meant also spending time chopping wood and making it into farms this was a large differenece.
Now consider that he was 1 building and 1 tech away from having his own bombard towers and I think there is a very strong case that the boar hurt him very very badly. It could be an even bigger influence on how it made him change his strategy in addition to the actual resources lost. Had he committed to bombards and not made wagons (arguably would not have made wagons if he wasn't as far behind) we could have witnessed him losing his castle but marching with 3-6 bombards and winning the game.
@@FifinatorKlon Check my reply to the guy with the fascist for an avatar pic/name. The boar was a loss of big food, cost a loss of time, timing, and wood, as well as potentially changing strategy.
Byz get -33% cost to imperial age, not research speed.
thats 333 food and 264 gold for Byz, nice but not a game decider alone.
bohemians get -100 wood on blacksmith and university, they also get chemistry in castle age so they can produce Bombards the second they get to imperial age. Bombards are superior in almost all cases because they can be microed.
The game came down to 3 trebuchets and 1-2 bombards vs 2 trebuchets and almost 1 bombard. It was extremely close in that respect.

MBL made a mistake, instead of doing treb war he just had to hit the TC and try to kill the king with vills or even better go for barraks and man at arms, feels like they forgot it was a regicide

mbl's trebs missed over 5 shots in sequence i think on capoch's trebs, which was just brutally sad rng
They missed 32 shots in sequence, every single time in the exact same miss spot. It wasn't rng, it was a bug. MBL was robbed and the devs need to investigate

Would it be justifiable to produce onagers and sacrifice them to the enemy wood lines clearing out the forest?? I mean by the time the opposition has time to react and produce onagers to counter they would have no wood to do so...

Hold up. Water is not wet. Something needs to be dry to get wet.
3:38 No, technically water is NOT wet. It makes other things wet, but water itself is NOT wet.
However, the floor is definitely made of floor.
It's definitely wet, wet just means "surrounded by water on a microscopic level", which water is. Every water molecule is covered with water. So it's wet.

@@clank285 Also, assuming the wikimath is correct it takes 5.85min for feitorias to be net-positive on the gold spend to build them, and 16.67min for net positive on the stone... which is extremely unlikey for these games to spend even that 5 minutes for the gold, let alone 16 mins for the stone in imperial age, which is needed to build them in the first place. AND considering how important towers and castle tend to be on these maps... yeah I don't forsee it ever being a good investment
i always thought to myself that using TCs to fire at boars was just stupid and risky, and simply shooting with vills and nothing more was the way to go, and MBL finally confirmed it to me on this match lol
That last play from MbL would have been amazing with exploding kings.
Having the range visible should not be optional for you as a caster, as it gives so much information necessary. Especially in this map. Would have been clutch to see how close the range of castles reach and where there is actually space to build safely
